Hamas Leader Killed In Lebanon Was UNRWA Employee, UN Confirms

The man Israel described as the leader of Hamas in Lebanon was a United Nations employee, the agency confirmed Monday. Fateh Al Sharif was killed during an Israeli military strike in Lebanon, Sky News reported, citing the Israeli military. The U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed that Sharif was an employee of the agency but had been on “administrative leave” since March while under investigation for his political activities. “Fateh Al Sharif was an UNRWA employee who was put on administrative leave without pay in March, and was undergoing an investigation following allegations that UNRWA received about his political activities,” UNRWA told The Times of Israel. Sharif, his wife, and children were killed on Monday during an Israeli airstrike that targeted their house in the al-Bass refugee camp in Tyre, Lebanon, on Monday. Sharif was reportedly the principal of a UNRWA-run secondary school in the area. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Sharif “led the Hamas terrorist organization’s force build-up efforts in Lebanon and operated to advance Hamas’ interests in Lebanon, both politically and militarily.” In March, UNRWA said that it had suspended Sharif over allegations that he was participating in activities “that are in violation of the Agency’s regulatory framework governing staff conduct.” His suspension led to widespread protests and strikes by teachers in the area, the Times reported. Like Hezbollah, Hamas is backed by Iran. Am I Racist? Is In Theaters NOW — Get Your Tickets Here! In August, the U.N. fired multiple UNRWA employees after finding evidence that they had been involved in the October 7 terrorist attacks on Israel, The Daily Wire reported at the time. A total of nine male UNRWA employees were fired. Deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq told a U.N. briefing at the time that “the evidence was sufficient to conclude that they may have been involved” in the attacks, which saw thousands of Palestinian terrorists enter Israel and murder 1,200 people while wounding more than 5,000 and taking hundreds hostage. UNRWA finally admitted that some of its employees were terrorists after months of denials and claiming allegations were Israeli propaganda and “disinformation.” The U.N. finally launched an investigation after Israeli authorities provided evidence that linked UNRWA workers to the Hamas terrorist attacks. Earlier this year, Israel also discovered a top-secret Hamas intelligence center beneath a UNRWA building in Gaza, The Daily Wire previously reported. The center included an electrical room, living space for terrorists, and industrial battery power banks. Also this year, it was discovered that about 10% of UNRWA’s 12,000 employees in Gaza were linked to terror groups across the Middle East, yet only a few were fired. Even after all this, the Biden-Harris administration has called for the UNRWA employees who helped Hamas to be immune from prosecution, The Daily Wire reported.

East Coast Dockworkers Plan To Strike Tuesday, Hobbling Supply Chain

East Coast Dockworkers Plan To Strike Tuesday, Hobbling Supply Chain

About 45,000 dockworkers plan to walk off the job on Tuesday, hobbling the supply chain and throwing a wrench into the presidential election. The International Longshoremen’s Association will launch a massive strike if port ownership does not meet the union’s demands for higher wages and address their objections to port automation. Negotiations broke down over the summer and the two sides are still at an impasse. The strike will shutter 36 ports on the East and Gulf Coasts, choking off nearly half of all U.S. imports and costing the economy billions of dollars a day. Depending on how long the strike lasts, Americans could see shortages and delays past the election and into the holiday season. Bananas, coffee, cocoa, pharmaceuticals, clothing, furniture, vehicles, and even Christmas decorations are among the products that will be affected. As far as American exports, beef, poultry, pork, eggs, and cotton will be impacted as well. Supply chain shortages could cause prices to rise just as families are trying to recover from the nearly 20% spike in prices since before the pandemic. The U.S. Maritime Alliance, which represents port ownership, said in a statement, “we value the work of the ILA and have great respect for its members. We have a shared history of working together and are committed to bargaining.” However, the alliance also filed an Unfair Labor Practice charge accusing the union of refusing to come to the table and negotiate. The current contract expires Monday. On Sunday, the union reaffirmed its plans to strike in a statement on social media, saying dock workers would hit the streets at midnight on October 1. “United States Maritime Alliance refuses to address a half-century of wage subjugation where Ocean Carriers profits skyrocketed from millions to mega-billion dollars, while ILA longshore wages remained flat. ILA unity remains strong and is growing,” the union said. Am I Racist? Is In Theaters NOW — Get Your Tickets Here! President Joe Biden indicated that he has no intention of stepping in and stopping the strike, which he could do under the Taft-Hartley Act, which allows the president to prevent strikes that would threaten national security or health. This would force union workers to stay on the job for another 80 days. On Sunday, Biden responded to a question about Israel’s strikes in Yemen by talking about the impending labor strike. “I’ve spoken to both sides. They’ve got to settle the strike. I support the collective bargaining effort. I think they’ll settle the strike,” Biden told reporters on the tarmac. No negotiations are scheduled before the strike is set to begin on Tuesday. Even a one-day strike would snarl supply chains for six days, according to industry insiders. A longer strike would take weeks or months to recover from. Meanwhile, the economy and inflation are top issues on voters’ minds this presidential election, now just five weeks away. Vice President Kamala Harris has struggled to win over voters with her economic message, with polls showing that a majority of voters favor former President Donald Trump on the economy.

Economic Guru Dave Ramsey Asked Both Trump And Kamala For Interview. Here’s What Happened

Apolitical money expert Dave Ramsey said he asked both former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris for a sit-down interview — but so far, only Trump has agreed to the discussion, while Harris’ team sits on the request. “Several weeks ago, our team reached out [to] Vice President Harris and President Donald Trump and offered the ability to sit down and have a discussion about ideas,” Ramsey said this past weekend. “The Harris camp has our request, and the last word we got, it was under review,” he told his audience. “So it’s not been a yes, not been a no from them.” Trump, though, said yes. In fact, the pair have already sat down for the interview. “I flew to New York. And at this time yesterday, I was in Trump Tower interviewing President Donald Trump,” Ramsey said. The expert has a tendency to stay out of politics and routinely tell his audience that they can protect and grow their wealth no matter who is in the White House. However, Ramsey explained that he wanted to speak to both candidates about the things that are really hurting Americans, like the price of eggs. This was precisely what his first question was to Trump — and will be to Harris, if she ever accepts his offer. “I just said Mr. President, we talk to real people every day,” Ramsey outlined. “Let me tell you what they’re concerned about. They’re not concerned about a bunch of the stuff you’re talking about. The stuff they’re concerned about is $7 eggs, $5 gas, 7% interest rates, and house prices going up faster than their wages are going up. This black cloud that’s over our economic situation right now. And we could talk about how it got there. We could talk about what you used to do. We could talk about the current administration. But I don’t really want to. What I want to talk about is what you’re going to do in the first 90 days to get this black cloud off of America.” Am I Racist? Is In Theaters NOW — Get Your Tickets Here! “That was my first question,” he reiterated. “And I’ll ask Vice President Harris this exact same question if I get the opportunity.” Several weeks ago, our team reached out Vice President Harris and President Donald Trump and offered the ability to sit down and have a discussion about ideas. I like to talk about ideas, because I think ideas are worth fighting over… pic.twitter.com/VOM59UmTTx — Dave Ramsey (@DaveRamsey) September 27, 2024 Ramsey previewed his sit-down with Trump on X. “Last week, I flew to Trump Tower to sit down with President [Donald Trump] and talk about ideas. It was fun. It was interesting,” he said. “I’ve interviewed past presidents before, but never anything quite like this. And I’ll do the same thing with Vice President Harris if I get the chance. We’ll have the full Donald Trump interview out this Wednesday, October 2.” In the short video clip posted by Ramsey, Trump said he’s watched the expert his “whole life.” “This should be the easiest interview, because I’ve learned from him (Ramsey),” Trump joked. Last week, I flew to Trump Tower to sit down with President @realDonaldTrump and talk about ideas. It was fun. It was interesting. He called those who are offended “narrow-minded and too stupid to talk to.” “You need to learn to engage ideas and engage things that make you uncomfortable,” he said, adding that he feels the same about those who might be offended if he speaks to Harris. Biden Confuses Military Strike With Labor Strike, Supports ‘Collective Bargaining’ In Yemen

President Joe Biden appeared to confuse a military strike with a labor dispute when speaking to reporters over the weekend, responding to a question about Israeli air strikes in Yemen by stating that he was in support of “collective bargaining.” Biden was exiting a vehicle when reporters began to shout questions at him, and he answered a few related to Israel and escalating military actions targeting Iranian-backed terror proxies like Hezbollah — but when a reporter followed up with a question about the “strikes in Yemen,” Biden answered as though he believed the issue was a simple labor dispute. WATCH: REPORTER: "Any comment on the strikes in Yemen, Mr. President!?" BIDEN (or whatever's left of him): "I've spoken to both sides. They gotta settle the strike. I'm supporting the collective bargaining effort. I think they'll settle the strike." ? pic.twitter.com/iFawNWdWyH — RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 30, 2024 “Mr. President, will you deploy more U.S. troops to the Middle East?” one reporter shouted, and Biden said, “No.” First lady Jill Biden also exited the vehicle and quickly walked away, turning her back on the press while her husband walked toward reporters. “Mr. President, has Netanyahu gone too far?” another reporter asked. Biden did not appear to answer that question but approached the gathered reporters. “Any comment on the strikes in Yemen, Mr. President?” a reporter asked. “I’ve spoken to both sides. They gotta settle the strike. I’m supporting the collective bargaining effort. I think they’ll settle the strike,” Biden replied. Am I Racist? Is In Theaters NOW — Get Your Tickets Here! “Just so we’re all clear on what’s happening here — Jill Biden walks off without him, he is then asked about the Israeli IDF missile strikes in Yemen, and his reply is that he supports a union collective bargaining agreement and thinks that the strike will end soon,” conservative pundit Stephen L. Miller explained in an X post. Back in June, you were called a conspiracy theorist and a cheap fake artist for pointing things like this out. — Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) September 30, 2024 Miller then drew attention to the fact that Biden’s administration — including Vice President Kamala Harris — had covered for Biden long after it was obvious to everyone that he was struggling cognitively. “Back in June, you were called a conspiracy theorist and a cheap fake artist for pointing things like this out.”

MI Dem Senate Candidate Warns Internal Polling Shows Kamala ‘Underwater’ In State

Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), who is running for the open Senate seat in Michigan, warned last week that she’s “not feeling [her] best” about Vice President Kamala Harris’ chances of beating former President Donald Trump in the battleground state. Slotkin told donors on a video call last week that internal polling for her Senate campaign is showing bad results for Harris despite the vice president polling ahead of Trump in Michigan in most public polls. Slotkin’s call with donors was joined by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Axios reported on Sunday. “I’m not feeling my best right now about where we are in Kamala Harris in a place like Michigan. We have her underwater in our polling,” Slotkin said. ??Michigan Democrat Senate nominee Elissa Slotkin: “I’m not feeling my best right now about where we are in Kamala Harris in a place like Michigan. We have her under water in our polling.” pic.twitter.com/hmMQEZwD94 — Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) September 29, 2024 Michigan is among the critical “blue wall” states, along with Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, that many experts consider Harris’ easiest path to an electoral victory on November 5. President Joe Biden won all three states in 2020 after Trump swept the “blue wall” states in 2016 against Hillary Clinton. The RealClearPolitics average of Michigan polls shows Harris leading Trump by just over one percentage point, which is a much closer margin than Slotkin’s average lead over Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers. The race between Slotkin and Rogers, however, has tightened in recent days, with GOP internal polling showing that the two candidates are in a statistical tie, according to Axios. Am I Racist? Is In Theaters NOW — Get Your Tickets Here! A potentially major electoral problem for Harris in Michigan centers on the estimated 240,000 Muslims in the state, many of whom have expressed frustration with how the Biden-Harris administration has handled the war between Israel and radical Islamic terrorist organizations, Hamas and Hezbollah. The large majority of Muslims in Michigan have historically voted for the Democratic presidential nominee, but Muslim’s current dissatisfaction with the party has Democrats on edge for 2024. Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), have visited Michigan regularly over the past two months, narrowing in on the economy and car manufacturing. The Republican presidential nominee told supporters in Flint earlier this month that he would put a 200% tariff on vehicles manufactured outside of the U.S. if elected.

31-Year-Old Woman Makes History, Runs The 2,200 Mile Appalachian Trail In Record Time

In 2019, Tara Dower fell in love with the world of hiking. Since then, she’s become an ultrarunner and long-distance hiker, setting a couple of “fastest known time records” (FKTs) and competing in countless ultramarathons, trail races, and more. Tara even has a whole YouTube channel dedicated to her journey and her passion for educating others on how to get outdoors more often. Still, her latest accomplishment tops them all. The thru-hike of the Appalachian trail is no joke. At 2,197 miles long, it’s taken countless hikers well over 42 days to complete. The latest record was set by a dentist from Belgium, Karel Sabbe. In 2018, he completed the massive trail in 41 days, 7 hours, and 39 minutes. But thanks to a lot of hard work, and the help of a supportive team, Tara was able to set a new record for the Appalachian trail! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Candy Mama (@tara.dower) There are many coveted records in the world of hiking. But the one Tara just beat is one of the most coveted worldwide. To make this happen, Tara completed her hike in a supported style, something most of the records breakers for this trail have done. This means getting a variety of support in things like food, gear, medical expertise, moral support, pacing, and shelter. Tara Dower Triumphantly Breaks the 2018 Record for This Infamous Appalachian Trail View this post on Instagram A post shared by Candy Mama (@tara.dower) Still, even with the help, Tara was up for an incredible challenge. To beat the previous record, she slept an average of five hours a night. In the end, though, she succeeded in her mission, shaving off 13 hours from the previous record. That makes the new record 40 days, 18 hours, and 5 minutes. Watch the video below to witness the moment Tara triumphantly makes it to the end of the trail! @outsidemagazine One of the most grueling records in American endurance sports fell late Saturday night in northern Georgia. Tara Dower a 31-year-old ultrarunner and long-distance hiker born in North Carolina and based in Virginia, reached Georgia’s Springer Mountain, the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail, at 11:53 P.M. She completed the arduous southern thru-hike of the iconic trail, crossing 14 states and 2,197 miles, in 40 days, 18 hours, and 5 minutes. It’s the fastest known time for hiking the iconic trail in either direction. Tap the link in our bio to read more about her accomplishment. Thanks to @Hunter Leininger for letting us share this video. #runtok #ultra #ultrarunner #runner #getoutside #taradower ♬ Come Inside Of My Heart – IV Of Spades “Finishing the Appalachian Trail in the fastest known time is a dream come true,” Tara shares on social media. “… Incredibly thankful for ALL the crew, pacers, and friends who came out to help. It would have not been possible without y’all. My brain is still foggy and I’m still processing everything. There will be more in the coming days but for now thank you for all the support!!” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here!
