Baby Humpback Whale Surprises Swimmer With The Experience Of A Lifetime

Spotting a baby humpback whale in the wild is already pretty exciting, but one swimmer managed to get up close and personal with one of these magnificent creatures! A woman on social media captured the most incredible footage of her once-in-a-lifetime encounter with a grown-up whale and their child. This adorable aquatic mammal even came over to play near the ecstatic human! Over 3 million people have viewed this stunning clip online. In this amazing video, the woman caught some excellent underwater footage of an adult humpback whale and baby. She was already pretty thrilled with the sighting, but the best was yet to come! Soon, the younger whale started heading towards the swimmer. Then, they leaped out of the water, splashing the human right in the face! You can hear the woman shrieking with excitement throughout the interaction. @britt_anytravels Excited squeals could not be helped! . . . #humpbackwhale #whale #baby #calf #excitedsqueals #underwater #ocean #wildlifeencounter #travel #solotravel #grouptravel #fyp #pov #adventure #explore #soultouching #splash #madhueys #oceanlover #whalelover #protectourocean #savethewhales #seashepherd #protect #tonga #eua #bucketlist #graditude #soulnourished #whalenation #gentlegiant @OceanZen Travel @Sea Shepherd ♬ original sound – britt_anytravels “POV: you’re splashed by a baby whale,” the swimmer wrote over the clip. In her caption, she added, “Excited squeals could not be helped!” It’s important to note that the baby humpback whale swam over to the human, not the other way around. This woman was content to observe the creature from a safe distance, but the animal really seemed to want to investigate. Did this baby whale actually ask for permission before swimming up to the human? Screengrab from TikTok Some commenters on the video noted that the two whales had been making noise before the smaller one decided to make the first move. They wondered if this wasn’t the little one asking for permission from Mom! “I cannot help but feel that the little whale noises before he BOLTED was ‘oh Mom please can I PLEEEEEASSSE’ and a ‘fine,'” wrote one user. Another added, “The whale noise before the baby started to swim upwards. It’s like a ‘go’ signal from the mom if I have to guess. So cute.” It’s not every day that you get to play with a baby humpback whale! We’re sure this lucky swimmer will never forget her special encounter with the aquatic mammal. “Forbidden Oreo”: Unusual-Looking Spider Resembles This Popular Dessert

It’s spooky season and consider me spooked. Despite its friendly nickname, the “oreo spider” is one of the creepiest creatures I’ve seen in a long time. Proceed if you’re brave! Officially named the trapdoor spider, this creature looks to be a flat object. In nature, it’s easy to mistake the spider for a shell, a fossil, or even a rock. But once you poke its face, you’ll quickly learn that there’s far more than what meets the eye. If you’re into spooky things, check out this video for the full story of the trapdoor spider! Admittedly, I’m quite spooked by these sorts of creatures. However, they’re actually pretty fascinating. Their front face is more than just an aesthetic that disguises the spider — it actually works as a real trapdoor! The spiders blend in with the environment around them and, when a creature approaches that they’re interested in consuming, they’ll quickly move and grasp it. These spider disguises entice more than kiddos looking to have an oreo — they help the spider get their dinner! This image is from YouTube. Despite their scary aesthetic, they’re mostly not harmful to humans. However, I’d definitely stay away from one of these if I were you! I don’t think I want to get on the oreo spider’s bad side! What are people saying about this creepy crawly? Fans in the comments can’t help but compare this creature to its dessert doppelganger. “Spider should sue oreo for copyrights violation,” jokes one viewer. Other fans think the face looks a bit more like a historical artifact. “That shield looks like some kind of ancient death mask.” This image is from YouTube. Whether you’re a spider fan or a scaredy cat like me, the oreo spider is undeniably cool. What do you think about this amazing creature? The featured image for this post is from YouTube. Rare V-Shaped UFO Sighted in Texas Sparks 1997 Comparison

On August 5, 2024, a rare V-shaped UFO, often referred to as a “boomerang UFO,” was sighted in Amarillo, Texas. The video of the object was only recently uploaded online. According to the videographer, identified as L. Miller, the UFO moved silently across the sky at a slow speed. Miller spotted it by chance, first noticing a bright light in the night sky. At the time, he was in a forested area on a deer stakeout and had a night vision device with him. This allowed him to capture more than just a distant light—he filmed a distinct, mysterious craft. Ufologists have pointed out the striking resemblance of this UFO to the one famously witnessed over Arizona and Nevada in 1997. Could this be the same craft, or part of a similar series of aircraft? Unfortunately, despite hundreds of witnesses observing the 1997 sighting, no one recorded footage, as mobile phone technology was still in its infancy. Only witness sketches, like the one shown below, remain from that event. The Phoenix Lights were a series of widely sighted unidentified flying objects observed in the skies over the southwestern U.S. states of Arizona and Nevada on March 13, 1997. A common theory is that these boomerang-shaped UFOs are actually top-secret U.S. military aircraft, similar to the TR-3B, a triangular craft frequently mentioned in conspiracy circles. These theories suggest that such aircraft were developed using alien technology recovered from crash sites like Roswell. This, they claim, explains the craft’s silent flight, its ability to execute physics-defying maneuvers, and its radar invisibility. Intel is releasing yet another fix to stop its CPUs crashing, root cause found

Intel has finally tracked down the “root cause” behind the CPU issues it faced with its 13th and 14th-gen Raptor Lake CPUs this year and is rolling out an update. This new Intel CPU fix will address the fourth and final scenario in which extreme voltage fluctuations can cause damage and, hopefully, will be the last BIOS update that Intel CPU owners have to make. It hasn’t been an easy time for Intel this year, but this new fix might be a chance to repair some of the reputational damage the company has suffered. It couldn’t come any sooner, either, with new next-gen CPUs expected to be launching later this year, giving the company a chance to launch the best gaming CPU after a few years in second place. Throne and Liberty servers face six-hour downtime for early access players

Launching a new MMO is always a challenge, and Throne and Liberty servers appear to be facing their own set of issues. The NCSoft and Amazon Games fantasy MMORPG arrives for all players as a free Steam game next week, but you can play it right now if you pay for one of its early access supporter packs. Or, at least, you could - except its developer has just pulled the Throne and Liberty servers offline as it works to fix key issues, with an estimated “six hours of downtime” leaving those who’ve paid to play with nothing to do. Sony Doubles the Price of Horizon: Zero Dawn to Close a Loophole

The most common cause for a price increase is the ever-present specter of "inflation". But inflation doesn't turn twenty dollars into forty overnight.
