A reader contacted me about two encounters they had discovered while researching cryptid incidents. One was in North Carolina and the other in Massachusetts.The following account was forwarded by a reader:"In 1935, two brothers were hunting deep in the woods in Ashe County, North Carolina. They were about 3 miles into the thick forest and had been hunting most of the day. It was starting to get dark and so they decided to pack up and get ready to leave. As they began their hike out, they heard something moving through the forest behind them. It was loud and almost sounded like it was “bulldozing the trees”. The men shined their light at it and were shocked to see a 9 foot tall creature with “blood red eyes” standing there staring at them. Frightened, the two men immediately began shooting at it with their 30/30 rifles. They could hear it make a squeal that they described as horrible sounding. It then covered its eyes and ran blindly into the woods. The two hunters turned and ran towards home.Looking back, the men believed that they may have actually shot the creature in the eyes especially given the way it covered its eyes and ran off into the woods. The men didn't know what it was only that it resembled a giant ape-like creature. They called it, The Devil Ape.In 1978, two friends, John and Paul, were walking in the woods in late fall. They were both in the sixth grade. They were out pretty late and it started to get dark. As they walked, they felt as though they were being watched. John noticed a shadow moving. At some point, they stopped and looked whatever was following them. The creature had, according to the witness, “cold, yellow eyes”. It began to growl at them. The two boys began to run. They eventually made it out of the woods. When they looked back, they saw that the creature had not followed them. The two boys, fearing they would be mocked, told nobody about their encounter. John would not go back into those woods again.Many years later, he was driving by the same patch of woods where he saw the creature and observed a “wolf head” peer out from above a bush on downside of incline. He estimated, given the height of the incline, the creature had to be 7 feet tall. The eyes were the same cold, yellow eyes he had seen that day in 1978. It watched him as he passed. To John, it felt like it was studying him, almost like it remembered him. He drove by the area again the next day, this time armed, and saw nothing. This happened in Hockomock in Southeastern Massachusetts. The following accounts describe encounters with Reptilian / Lizard humanoids. Some were originally reported to Albert S. Rosales and others were sent directly to me.DARK REPTILIANSLocation/Date: Bobadilla Air Base, Malaga, Spain - 1976 - nightWhile guarding an ammunition depot near a freight train a military guard observed a strange figure about 1.20 meters in height, black in color that was moving over the train tracks in a very quick and agile manner. Two guards approached the figure and pointed their rifles at it and it suddenly turned around and stared at the two men with two large bright red glowing eyes, it jumped up into the darkness and disappeared. Other soldiers at the base had seen a similar figure around the same time and strange objects over the area had also been reported.One night, a soldier was tasked to guard a metallic cage in the same base, which contained a weird reptilian creature that emitted strange, grunting sounds. One night while standing duty a dark helicopter landed and three military personnel exited the craft, they proceeded to pick up the cage with the humanoid and left immediately. The guard described the humanoid as resembling a “reptilian penguin” with strong jaws and claws. It was about 40 cm in height. The witness apparently lost his will and was compelled to enter the vehicle; inside the same three men he had been trying to hide from met him.They drove around for a while until they reached a wooded area outside the city. They stopped the car near a large hovering object that was encircled by a luminous ring. The witness and the three men then walked underneath the object and were hit by a beam of light. He suddenly found himself inside the object, sitting on a chair. Suddenly handles appeared on the chair that secured his wrists and an iron bar pressed his forehead backwards while another gadget held his neck. The three men then appeared and suddenly seemed to shed their skin or bodies and transform themselves into green scaly reptilian-like creatures with heart-shaped heads. The beings interrogated the witness and spoke of upcoming global events. At one point a door in the room was opened and he was able to see human corpses hanging by their feet from hooks on the walls. She was taken to a hospital where it was found that she had numerous cuts, bruises, and other injuries. After an initial investigation, local militia came to the conclusion that she had been raped. There was a strange detail present; the lower part of her body was covered in an unknown substance resembling mucus or frogspawn.When she regained consciousness she reported that she had been staying with some friends at a country cottage when one day she decided to take a motorboat into the bay of Finland. She wanted to look at an island, which had the ruins of a former Finnish glass plant abandoned in 1939. Suddenly a dense cloud covered the sky, she looked up and saw a huge disc-shaped craft. She felt paralyzed with fear and unable to move. As the huge flying saucer hovered over her she lost consciousness. She does not recall how long she had been unconscious but she woke up feeling terribly cold and fearful. She opened her eyes and found herself lying on a metallic table, completely naked. She was not tied and was able to move but soon noticed a bizarre creature leaning over her. The creature was lizard-like, with huge eyes. She saw many shiny instruments around her and 3 or 4 lights shone over her. Suddenly she felt the creature climb over her, touching her. She felt like screaming but her throat did not obey her. She felt everything but soon lost consciousness again. She regained consciousness in a hospital 200 kilometers away from where she had originally been. Her boat was found on an island. Opening her eyes she was horrified to find two strange creatures standing on either side of her bed. The entity to her right was about 7-8 feet tall, weighed about 300 pounds, had apparently no clothing, and seemed to have either crocodile or snake-type skin. The creature to her left was identical in appearance but smaller in height and weight. They seemed to be communicating in a chirping manner. Each of the entity's eyes glowed. Eva quickly discovered that she was unable to move. As she stared at the two creatures she found that either one or both were giving her instructions telepathically. The nature of this was seemingly for her to create mental visual scenes of various kinds and then “they” proceeded to distort that particular pleasant scene perversely. I always knew that I believed in many things, but it wasn't until then I really began to delve deeper. And let me tell you, it has been an interesting 10 years!Well, in 1994, I met this guy named Shawn. Actually, this all goes deeper than I ever imagined. Witness 'B' - 7/11/2000-----I WAS ATTACKED BY A REPTILIAN!I awoke one night in a state of which I can only explain as a spasm, my body was in a rigid state. I could not move a muscle and felt like something was on top of me.I fought to get movement back in my body. I could not turn my head or move at all. It was like I was having a fight to get control of my body.After a few panic-stricken moments, I could just barely move my fingers, only a little bit. I then felt that there was more than just a spasm. I felt dirty and touched. It was a horrible feeling from deep inside me.I could barely move my toes, again very slightly. My throat felt like it was being held. I could feel something was on top of me. My hands were by my side, but it felt like they were around my own throat, holding tightly. I was using all my might to break free from this spasmodic state.Then could feel something breathing into my left ear, the sound of a growl-like noise right next to my ear. I struggled to move my head to the left, like breaking free from a stranglehold.I could barely see the outline of a head, a big long head next to my own face. As the spasm-like feeling started to wear off, a tiny bit at a time, I could work out that this thing on top of me looked like a lizard/newt thing. It was like a blending together of all that was around it, or maybe invisible. I'm not very sure which, but I could see it clearly as the seconds passed.It was reptilian. I growled at it, or I think I did. My mind and my body gave all it could to do so. I bared my teeth at it and I could feel it could read my mind. I was swearing at it and shouting all sorts of obscenities at it. I felt violated and used.The next thing, it was quickly off of me and was standing to one side of the bottom of my bunk bed. A light came through the thin gap in the curtains. There were different shades of golden light which also had very small particles inside it, like dust or small stars that moved around like little bright lights.This reptilian creature was about 6 feet tall. I could sense it was either proud or happy with itself, maybe both. I tried to sit up as best I could and through my mind, I swore at it again.The creature walked forward and stepped into the light beam. As it did, the feet and legs vanished into the light. The more the creature moved forward towards the window, the more of it vanished.After it was gone I felt relaxed, but I could still feel where I was held around my throat. I felt I was raped by this horrendous monster.I awoke to a bright sunny day. I could hear my mother downstairs, washing up and doing housework. I lay in my bed and didn't move a muscle. I ran the incident through my mind again and, yes, I could still feel where I was held around my throat.I know this happened. My mind, heart, and soul know that this happened. For the life of me, I could not run downstairs to explain to my mother about this. Who would have believed it? How would my parents have handled such a thing? I did not know what to do?Since that night, my stepfather passed away. I asked my mother if she believed in aliens or UFOs. She replied that my stepfather said once that he saw a UFO near Brighton while at sea in the 1960s and he swore that it was a UFO, but only told my mother this.I never told my mother about my experience, as I thought it would be too harrowing for her to hear.What do I do about my experience? Recently, acknowledging the “positive encouragement for their Christian life” that many pilgrims receive at Medjugorje, the Vatican has decided to authorize public worship there.Before passing, Fr. Gabriele Amorth stated that ignoring the apparitions in Medjugorje is unforgivable for Christians. He lashed out at bishops and priests for being indifferent to the fruits of Medjugorje.Known around Italy for a frank discussion of exorcisms on television, Fr. Amorth was perhaps best known in English-speaking countries for his books An Exorcist Tells His Story, and An Exorcist: More Stories, Fr. Gabriele Amorth (born 1925) was ordained a priest in 1954 and became an official exorcist in 1986. For about 20 years he served as chief exorcist for the Diocese of Rome. In 1990 he founded the International Association of Exorcists, and served as its president he was until his retirement in 2000; although he’s been given the title “honorary president for life.”Throughout the years Fr. Amorth embraced Medjugorje, and in a 2002 interview, Fr. Amorth called the place “a great fortress against Satan.”By willingly failing to pay attention to the Virgin Mary’s apparitions in Medjugorje, a great number of Christians have proven to be no different from pagans. In this case, the document states that “the faithful are not obliged to believe in it.”Citing some of the messages the Virgin Mary is said to have delivered at Medjugorje over the decades, the Vatican said that while most were “edifying,” that did not mean “that they have a direct supernatural origin.” Consequently, they should be identified as “alleged messages” delivered through the visionaries.The church’s evaluation of “the abundant and widespread fruits, which are so beautiful and positive, does not imply that the alleged supernatural events are declared authentic,” the document states. Do you remember the Bigfoot sighting by a Scranton, PA police officer, reported in late July 2015 in McDade Park? Here's the police officer's account.A Scranton Police Officer claims that he had a encounter with Bigfoot in McDade Park in Lackawanna County Pennsylvania this past week.My name is Scranton Police Officer Xxxxx Xxxxx and I am an eight year veteran, so please keep my name out.A few days ago I was driving in patrol toward McDade Park in Scranton PA. It was late at night I was just checking the park making sure all was ok and I just noticed a very dark object leaning over the edge of the road near the pool as I drove pass.I passed extremely close to the object-close enough for me to feel shocked to see a large hairy section of well muscled leg and a big hairy wrist and hand as the creature turned I screamed and grabbed my cell to snap a pic and my gun. I slammed on the brakes and I was ready to shoot I'm combat trained, I have a weapon, I just had to see what the hell it was! I wanted to see the entire thing for myself - but what can I say. Whatever it was for me either was a monkey a huge one or a Bigfoot I am not going public with this because it would cost me my job. There is something in that park I heard stories of something roaming the park late at night.There was also a local man who claimed that a Bigfoot attacked him in the same park. The Bigfoot was hiding under a bridge and suddenly attacked...producing a nasty bruise on the man's upper arm.Since the time of those incidents, I've received several inquiries from readers and others...wanting to know if there was follow-up information available. Maybe no information since, but there may be some historical anomalies that may offer a connection, especially in 1976.The Suscon ScreamerThe first mention of the Suscon Screamer appeared around the end of the 1800's. In those days fire towers were located throughout the area each was located within sight of another. A fire was spotted in the Suscon area of Luzerne County, PA and firefighters were sent out to extinguish it. As the fireman worked on the blaze a terrible scream was heard, frightening many of the firefighters. Afterward, the firemen discussed what it could have been. None of them could explain what would make such a horrible scream. Later in the day, a watchman in the tower heard the scream. As he looked out over the burned-out area he noticed something moving and the screaming seemed to be getting louder. As it came closer the terrified watchman crouched down in his small room at the top of the tower. Now the creature was directly under him. As he looked down he could see the creature looking back up at him screaming and clawing at the ground. Worried that it might climb the tower he locked the entrance to the tower which was nothing more than a hatch in the floor and waited. Once again he peeked over the edge, the creature was walking away from him. The large creature was sometimes standing and sometimes walking on all fours with a pig-like snout. It seemed that a large Black Bear had been trapped in the fire and had been severely burned and was crying out in pain.Since that time, it seems the account has changed.It is said that underneath the former Susquehanna Railroad Bridge (also known as The Black Bridge) that once crossed Suscon Road supposedly lurks the legendary Suscon Screamer. One story states the area is haunted by the ghost of a woman jilted at the altar who, with a loud scream, hung herself from the bridge. Another says she was a teen killed on her prom night who's still trying to hitch a ride home. Yet another says it's a mother and child who died in a car crash while rushing to the local hospital. One more claims that it's cursed by the ghost of a girl who escaped from an insane asylum and leaped to her death off the bridge. Whichever version you prefer, a spectral lady has been spotted floating in the nearby woods.Then again, some say it's not a human's spirit at all that haunts Suscon. Some believe the eerie sound is the roar of a lion or panther that escaped from a traveling circus (or maybe its spirit after all these years.) Others say it's a half-human, half-pig swamp monster from the bogs.Then a Times Leader newspaper story said that a hunter was in a tree stand off of Suscon Road when he heard something coming up over the hill. His companion in the next tree screamed, jumped down from his stand, and started running. Then the hunter spotted a creature through his binoculars. He described him to the paper as “being about 6' long with a long snout. It weighed about 200 pounds and was gray in color. It had webbed feet with long claws and had a huge head”. The hunter refused to take the Game Commissioner back to the scene because he was too frightened. The man added that “the ground was clawed up as if 100 turkeys had gone through”. He told the officer that he was sure it wasn’t a bear or a coyote; it was a “monster”.Here's another brief witness account:"I used to live by the now gone underpass bridge, and though not a believer in "spooks or ghosts," had experienced the scream one spring night along with my family. We were so terrified we had called the Pittston Twp. police because we thought someone was being murdered in the woods behind our home.Only later in the night had the screamer idea been thought of after the police found nothing but a few neighbors who had also heard something. I only heard it once and that I will never forget. The spooky part of this story though is 2 weeks later, at 2:30 in the morning, my parents were jolted from bed with that same scream and it lasted a short 30 seconds or so...we never heard it again"In May of 1976, a family had a different close encounter with an odd critter. They were visiting a nearby lake and saw a family of four, 6' tall, hairy animals resembling “Bigfoot” wandering around. Whatever they were, it was said one of the beasts had the most piercing, ear-splitting shriek they had ever heard.The Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society has recorded that in May of 1976, there was a sighting of a group of four 6' brown humanoids at one of the lakes south of Suscon. There were also sightings recorded from Harveyville, also in Luzerne County (1984), and also from Dickson City immediately north of Scranton, in neighboring Lackawanna County (2003).NOTE: The Suscon Rd. location is approx. 5 miles from Scranton's McDade Park. The eyewitness' describes her sighting of a winged humanoid creature on July 4, 2008, in Toledo, Ohio. Is this creature related to the Chicago Mothman incidents?“It's true, I saw Mothman and, no, not recently, not one of these recent sightings that people are talking about. That is what made me decide to go ahead and talk about it because, this is so embarrassing. I mean, you go around telling people that you seen a half human / half moth or whatever he is creature and they tend to look at you like you're crazy. But I did see him.This was back in 2008, 4th of July, Toledo, Ohio, which is Northwest Ohio, right in this corner on the Michigan line, like, right in the Ohio / Michigan border-line. Okay, so, we had just finished watching the fireworks. All the cars were leaving and we decided to sit back and just wait for the cars to leave so that we didn't have to fight the traffic and we could just hang out with the family a little bit longer. My boyfriend at the time was laying on the blanket on his back, just kind of looking up at the stars, hanging out. But after awhile, he looked up and he was like, 'Hey, hey, you guys, what the hell is that?' So I was the first one to pay attention to him and I looked up and there was, like, this plane going by and I'm like, 'It's a plane, what are you talking about?' He's like, 'No, no! That!' And there was like this huge black mass that was clearly blacking out the light from the stars as it flew by, but it was flying really slow. I do remember that, like it was slowly flying but not like a bird. Like, a bird, when they fly, they have to fly fast. This thing was super slow and huge, like, think of how big you would think of a pterodactyl being, that's how big this thing was. And it had wings that were, like, really thin, like a pterodactyl's wings. That stuck out to me the most was the wings like how thin and see-through they kinda were. Like, they weren't see-through but like pterodactyl wings. And the body was like stubby but not short because, trust me, this thing was huge but it was like stubby kind of like a gargoyle. That's what it reminded me of - a gargoyle with pterodactyl wings. I don't know, this thing was weird. It was just weird.So I brought attention to my mom. My mom saw it. My brother saw it. It was funny because we all did the same exact thing, like, 'It's a plane, what are you guys talking about my?' I look my mom over and she said, 'It's a plane!' and I said, 'No, mom, that!' So, yeah, I don't know. I don't know what it was but I know that for some reason seeing it made me feel terrified and it stuck with me, that fear stuck with me and if you think about it, it's kind of irrational because there was no real reason to fear it. It was not coming towards us. It was just flying and it could have been something else but I know it wasn't because I seen it with my own eyes but everybody tried telling me was, like, 'Oh no, it couldn't have been Mothman because it's not Point Pleasant. That was West Virginia. This is Ohio.' Okay, well, now people are seeing it in Michigan and I'm ecstatic that people are actually reporting it because it validates what I had been trying to tell people.Nobody wanted to believe me but now people are actually coming forward and reporting it and that was something I never did. I didn't even know you could or knew how... What do you do? Who do you call to report something like that? Do you call the cops? Oh, there's some sort of weird mothy human looking creature flying through the sky, like, no, no, I barely even wanted to tell my friends let alone report it. How do you report something like that? But apparently there's a way because people are reporting it. But there was one time I went to tell somebody this story and this did help make me feel validated too. I went to tell someone about it when I was drunk because it was the only time I could admit it and before I could even tell him what I saw I was talking about how I saw something and that it was on the 4th of July. That's all I said and he said, 'Flying?' and I was like, 'Yeah.' He's like, 'In the sky, like a human flying thing?' I'm like, 'Yeah.' He's like, 'I saw it. I was there!'He said he was at his friend's house and when I saw it it was like flying towards the woods which is where he was at. He was in the woods. He said once it got to the tree line, which would have been out of my sight, that it kind of turned and like swooped down and flew within 20 feet of them. They were sitting around a bonfire and this thing just flew right past them and they didn't get a real real good look but they get a good enough look to see that it was like a human looking type thing with wings and when they were trying to explain it to the other people that was at the fire that didn't get a chance to see it, they all thought they were just drunk and crazy and didn't believe them either. So, that's my story, I saw Mothman and it was actually a mass sighting. A lot of people like all the people I was with saw it. The people at his bonfire saw it. There's probably other people there at the fireworks that night that saw it. None of us reported it that I know of. It was not even reported. If it had been reported, wouldn't it be, like, with the reports, with all these other people but I apparently not. I mean, it's not like an awesome scary story. I didn't see it up close. It didn't swoop down and fly right in front of me but I was close enough to know that it was not natural. It was not normal. It was not something that I've ever seen before in my life or I'm pretty sure most other people have ever seen before in their lives. There's things out there that we don't understand and that's the truth. I know what I saw I'm putting it out there. This is me reporting it. This is my report. I saw Mothman and I'm glad to get that off my chest.Something I forgot to mention, for some reason this thing left me with a fear that would not leave for weeks. I couldn't sleep because every time I closed my eyes I would see this thing, I had nightmares of him landing on my roof or looking in my windows. The easiest thing in the world to predict is that Vice President Kamala Harris is going to be coddled by minority journalists. If you speak the mantra “diversity, equity, inclusion”—and let’s add “history”—you’re rooting for a Harris victory. So, when Harris finally consented to a sit-down with three liberals at a Philadelphia NPR station for the National Association of Black Journalists, the title of the event could have been “You Had Me at ‘Hello.’” Not every question was a softball: They pushed back from the Left on handgun control and denying aid to Israel. But nobody wanted her chances of victory to be damaged in any way. Politico reporter Eugene Daniels—whose official beat has been championing the vice president for the last four years—opened the lovefest by asking the simple question about whether the American people are better off now than they were four years ago. She responded by uncorking outrageous claims—that we had record-high unemployment when she and President Joe Biden assumed office (wrong), and that Jan. 6, 2021, was the most terrible attack on our democracy since the Civil War. It’s like 9/11 never happened. There was no pushback. That was a shocking contrast with former President Donald Trump’s NABJ interview at its convention in July, where ABC reporter Rachel Scott began with a vicious stemwinder about how many black journalists thought Trump shouldn’t be allowed at their convention, how he disparaged black Democrats like Rep. Ilhan Omar and insulted black journalists for “stupid” questions, and that he had dinner with a white supremacist (Nick Fuentes). Kanye West brought Fuentes—who was not invited, but Trump said he didn’t know who he was at the time. Scott also demanded that Trump should get his fellow Republicans to stop attacking her favorite candidate, Harris, as a “DEI hire.” They see this as a slur on Harris’ talents. They can’t admit that many Democrats demanded Biden install a black woman on the ticket—which sounds exactly like a DEI imperative. Harris will never face hostile questions like this. There is no way she would ever be asked questions as rude as Trump received from Scott. She’s never going to accept an interview request from Fox News or Newsmax or, God forbid, conservative radio stars. The double standard is blatant and unforgettable. She’s not even interested in interviews from her most obvious allies, like the corrupt debate moderators at ABC. Fox News host Harris Faulkner was one of the three questioners at the Trump NABJ event. Why couldn’t they balance it out and have Faulkner also ask questions of Harris? Let’s guess that Team Harris would have immediately vetoed that idea. Harris can’t handle a less predictable question, one with a more accusatory spin on it. She can bungle a softball, like she did with her first question in the NABJ friend zone. Gerren Keith Gaynor of TheGrio asked the most ridiculous question, claiming Republicans have “weaponized” her laughter, implying she’s not a serious candidate, so “why is joy important to you, to insert into this election?” Gaynor later told Joy Reid “it was important for me to lift that up. And who doesn’t love joy, Joy?” These journalists are like Drew Barrymore, who was terrified of harming Kamala’s career in an interview. ABC debate tilter Linsey Davis told the Los Angeles Times she had to turn off her social media accounts to shut out people who accused her of pulling for Harris. “There is a stereotype that I am acutely aware of that I can’t be unbiased covering this moment,” she said. Cynically running out the clock has been the overarching principle of the entire abbreviated 105-day presidential campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris — ever since President Joe Biden, at the 11th-hour, dropped out in July. Harris seems unwilling or unable to answer any impromptu question that she has not been previously prepped for. Her answers at the debate were memorized and canned. They never addressed the questions asked. Her single, 11-minute post-debate Philadelphia interview was a shipwreck of dodging and dissimulating — even though the host was sympathetically left-wing. Even socialist Bernie Sanders pointed out that for Harris to get elected, she must temporarily disown her lifelong leftist credentials. As vice president, she must further deny co-ownership of the unpopular record of the Biden-Harris administration. Left unstated is that whether she wins the presidency — or loses it and continues as vice president for another three months — nonetheless she will inevitably revert back to her hard-core, lifelong leftist beliefs. In addition, Harris has reconstructed her privileged upbringing as a child of two PhDs, living in a posh Montreal neighborhood into a struggling, middle-class Oakland childhood. How can she stage such a complete makeover — and contemptuously count on the voting public to be so easily deceived? She avoids all news conferences, one-on-one nationally broadcast interviews, and town halls. And like Biden, she will debate only on leftist venues with impartial pro-Harris moderators. When asked to provide the details of her past responsibility for the open border, inflationary economy, spiraling crime, attacks on fossil fuels, and collapsing foreign policy, Harris smiles, makes hand gestures, and dodges. She changes the subject to her empathetic personality, her “joy” campaign, and her iconic profile as a supposedly dynamic black woman. When pressed, Harris outsources the task of squaring her hypocrisies and subterfuges to the stonewalling campaign, Democratic surrogates — and the media. Harris is also certainly not running on her demonstrable experience, vision, or intelligence as much as she is not Trump (or, for that matter, her former partner, Biden). To make that distinction stark, Harris must demonize and bait Trump nonstop and make the country fear him. So, she paints Trump as a racist and violent insurrectionist, not a former president whose four-year term saw a superior foreign policy, economy, border, and security than during the Biden-Harris term. Instead, Harris has repeatedly claimed Trump is a dictator and a threat to democracy — as if he had politically weaponized the FBI, CIA, DOJ, or IRS as had former President Barack Obama and Biden. Trump as Hitler has become a staple Democrat smear for the past decade. That vicious caricature is so entrenched that major Democratic figures assume it’s OK to joke about, or seriously call for, Trump’s demise. So, Harris’s current prominent advisor David Plouffe years ago warned the nation that “it is not enough to simply beat Trump. He must be destroyed thoroughly. His kind must not rise again.” Just last year, Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., claimed that Trump “is destructive to our democracy, and he has to be, he has to be eliminated.” Even after an assassin sought to kill Trump last week, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries declared, “Extreme MAGA Republicans are the party of a national abortion ban and Trump’s Project 2025. We must stop them.” Harris’s dehumanizing of Trump, outsourcing the campaign to the media, avoiding all public dialogue, and temporarily reinventing one’s politics and biography have taken a toll on the country. Harris was coronated the Democratic candidate without ever entering a primary or winning a single delegate by vote. Some 14 million Democrat primary voters were reduced to irrelevancy. Like the 2020 Biden campaign, Harris has nationalized a new kind of cynical campaign in which leftist candidates seek for a few months to deceive the public into thinking they are centrist and moderate — until elected. Avoiding all cross-examination and outsourcing the campaign to the obsequious media is now the new norm. Most news stories deemed unhelpful to Harris — the left-wing, pro-Harris politics of the recent would-be Trump assassin, the distortion that dozens of bomb threats were called in against Springfield schools by Trump supporters when most, if not all, were perpetrated by foreign actors, or prominent Democrats before and after the recent assassination attempt blaming Trump for being the target of an assassin — are suppressed by the media. The recent two foiled assassination attempts on Trump logically follow a near-decade pattern of trying to destroy rather than outvote him. The Russian collusion hoax, the laptop disinformation con, the two impeachments, the effort to remove Trump from some 16 state ballots, and the attempt to jail and bankrupt Trump through five criminal and civil “lawfare” indictments and suits also led to the current hateful climate of Trump assassination attempts. Harris thinks her delays, deceptions, and vilifications for the next 47 days will ensure her victory. But if so, it will be because she, her stealth campaign, and her self-proclaimed guardians of democracy have been willing to systematically destroy it. Podcaster Tim Pool filed a defamation lawsuit against Vice President Kamala Harris‘ presidential campaign Thursday. Pool says he has faced an increase in death threats and that suspicious people have been monitoring his place of business, two developments he finds alarming after two assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump. “It’s putting a target on my back for things I don’t believe and things I actually argue against,” Pool told The Daily Signal in an interview Friday. Pool’s lawsuit focuses on one specific post on the social media platform X from Harris’ campaign, on Aug. 31. “Trump operatives say their Project 2025 plan is to give Trump total, unchecked legal power so they can jail and execute those who don’t support Trump if he wins (They have since scrubbed this video from YouTube),” the campaign posted. Elsewhere in the video, Pool insists that any jailed Democrats should face charges through the legal process, with their civil rights honored. Pool’s Response to the Post Pool claims the X post is egregiously false on multiple levels. First, he calls it “absolutely incorrect” to say he is a “Trump operative.” Second, he has no affiliation with Project 2025 or the organization behind it, The Heritage Foundation. Third, “It stated that I wanted Trump to have extra-judicial authority to jail and execute the people who refuse to support him, which is, I believe, the most shockingly extreme thing you could accuse someone of advocating for or believing.” “I didn’t specifically say ‘political opponents,’ it said ‘those who don’t support him,’ as if to imply your run-of-the-mill voter who says, ‘I don’t support Trump,’ may face extrajudicial execution by some kind of psychotic dictatorial regime,” the podcaster explained. “It’s an absurdity, it’s insane.” He framed the claim, which he said is false, this way: “One of the top presidential campaigns claims that a top global podcast, prominent political show is calling for run-of-the-mill voters who don’t support Trump to be executed should he win.” Pool has long opposed the death penalty, and he went on to condemn the death penalty in that May 31 video. As for the claim that he “scrubbed” the video from YouTube, Pool says he only removed the video because YouTube flagged it, but that the entire video remains up on Rumble and other platforms. Increase in Threats Pool said the Harris campaign’s post led to an increase in threats against him and his company. “Within a few days of this post going up, a strange man started lurking around one of my properties, our old studio location where we no longer operate out of,” he recalled. Employees told him that “a strange individual wearing a dress was trespassing on the property and filming the building.” “This individual apparently got into a fight, injuring one of our employees,” he added. “I have absolutely seen an uptick in” social media messages, “some insinuating to the effect of wanting me to die or intending to have me die.” Pool said he receives “death threats… on a regular basis.” He said he and his company were swatted 13 times in 2022, that malignant actors deceived police into sending an emergency response team to his offices. Police once searched his office while he was live on air. Pool said he received bomb threats with “bomb machines” and credible threats, he said. “But after this tweet goes out, I certainly noticed a dramatic increase in messages,” he said. Threats used to come “once or twice a month,” but Pool said now the number is “in the hundreds.” Defamation Hurdles James R. Lawrence III, a partner at Envisage Law and former chief counsel at the Food and Drug Administration at the end of the Trump administration, is representing Pool in the defamation lawsuit. In order for Pool’s lawsuit to succeed under the Supreme Court’s precedents starting with New York Times v. Sullivan (1964), Pool has to prove that the Harris campaign spread a falsehood against him with “actual malice,” or a “reckless disregard for the truth.” Lawrence admitted that the standard represents a high bar, but he cited the case of D.A. King v. Southern Poverty Law Center—a defamation case that cleared a key legal hurdle last year—as evidence of a similar case. King pleaded that the Southern Poverty Law Center defamed his organization, the Dustin Inman Society, by calling it an “anti-immigrant hate group,” years after the SPLC had explicitly stated that it was not a “hate group.” This key detail bolstered King’s case and made it easier for him to claim that the SPLC knew it was false to call his organization a “hate group.” Similarly, Pool and Lawrence argued that the Harris campaign must have done research on Pool’s show, and that a modicum of research would have revealed Pool’s opposition to the death penalty and his support for civil liberties. “They state that it had since been scrubbed by YouTube, which would indicate they did some looking into what the show actually was,” Pool said. As for the clip the campaign posted, it “had been out in the internet or on the internet being discussed for two months,” Lawrence noted. Outlets such as Mediaite had covered the interview, and that coverage “does not attribute these atrocious views to Tim in particular… but focuses on what others on the broadcast were saying.” None of the reports from the time claim that Pool “advocated for… Donald Trump to be made dictator, for the Constitution to be suspended, and for President Trump in a second Trump administration to imprison and then execute his political enemies,” the lawyer noted. “You don’t see any of that in the reporting.” Lawrence also noted that the tweet has been viewed by 12 million people on X, and that it has made it more difficult for Pool to reach out to liberals and moderates with whom he would like to engage ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
