As the days pass, Bruce Willis’ family continues to mourn the father they once knew. After his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, Bruce has lost the ability to communicate, but not the ability to love. Bruce, 69, is the father to five daughters: Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, Tallulah, 30, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10. Their father’s deteriorating health has caused tremendous pain for his girls, who all wish they’d had more time with their father. Tallulah appeared on the Today Show on September 18 and shared an update on her father’s condition. She told Hoda Kotb, “He’s stable which, in this situation, is good,” Tallulah said. “It’s hard. There’s painful days but there’s so much love. And it’s really shown me to not take any moment for granted and I really do think that we’d be best friends. I think he’s very proud of me.” Hoda Remarked About An Essay Tallulah Wrote About Bruce Willis’ Dementia For Vogue In 2023 Hoda told Tallulah she was moved by her words and love for Bruce Willis. “I have hopes for my father that I’m so reluctant to let go of,” Tallulah wrote. “I’ve always recognized elements of his personality in me, and I just know that we’d be such good friends if only there were more time.” Tallulah credited her mother and Bruce’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, with helping her through the struggle. Although the couple divorced in 2000, the pair remained remarkably close. Demi recently told Drew Barrymore she sees Bruce as often as she can. “When I’m in LA, I go over every week, and I really treasure the time that we all share,” she said. Tallulah said her mom’s advice about Bruce Willis’ dementia had helped her through the most difficult times. “You have to be in the moment, you have to be present,” Demi told her daughter.
