The badly disguised Democrats at PBS are having a hard time with this second assassination attempt on Donald Trump. They barely passed over it on Sunday night, and on Monday night, News Hour anchor Amna Nawaz and NPR reporter Tamara Keith savaged Trump-Vance again for demonizing Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio.  Curtis Houck pointed out on Sunday night that it was a 30-second news brief, followed by more Springfield bashing of Trump-Vance. I'm guessing the PBS News Weekend shows are pre-produced during the week and are not to be disturbed. So you get 30 seconds in the "News Wrap" on an assassination attempt, and eight minutes on celebrity endorsements of presidential candidates. Vance picked up on that stat in a long tweet: PBS's weekend show perfectly illustrates the double standard of Kamala Harris's media friends. After spending 30 seconds on the second assassination attempt on President Trump, they then focused on the real danger: me and President Trump, who are, according to them, personally responsible for bomb threats against Springfield. Of course, I repeatedly condemend those threats. And reports today suggest they came from a foreign country, not--as the media suggested--a deranged Trump fan. The double standard is breathtaking. On Sunday afternoon, NPR's top-of-the-hour newscast also briefly touched on the Trump shooter and lavished attention on terrified Haitians in Springfield. Pierre, Jr. (@TheMediaReport1) September 15, 2024 On Monday night's News Hour, anchor Amna Nawaz spent a short time expressing surprise that no one's really slowing down or toning down after this assassination attempt, and then turned again to whipping on Vance, using his feisty interview on CNN with Dana Bash: "Meanwhile, speaking of political rhetoric, we should point out that the vice presidential candidate on the Republican side, J.D. Vance, continues to repeat baseless claims about the Haitian immigrant population in Ohio." Bash fact-checked Vance like she was Linsey Davis on the claims of pet-eating, just like all Democrats want them to do, incessantly. Then Nawaz turned to NPR reporter Tamara Keith for the double-down:  NAWAZ: Haitians in Ohio, we should note, are here legally. They're under protected legal status. And we know now that this kind of rhetoric has led to the potential for real-world violence, threats against people in the community there, and evacuations. Why are they continuing to repeat these lies? TAMARA KEITH: Yes, and Vance was absolutely unapologetic in that interview, and, in fact, was critical of Dana for even suggesting that these threats that have been called into schools and other civic places in the community of Springfield, that that would have anything to do with the rhetoric of Vance and former President Trump, who have both continued to amplify this, not back down, certainly not apologize. But that is the way of the Trump campaign, of the Trump political ethos, is to dig in and dig in and dig in. And what they might be doing here — there's a few things that they're doing. One, they are trying to get people to talk about immigration in a way that has people focused on dogs and cats and Haitian migrants and people who are here legally. So it's sort of an unusual way to get people to talk about immigration. But the other thing is, it was a week where former President Trump had a really bad debate, where he went on stage and he said he had concepts for plans, but not actual plans, where a lot of things went wrong for Trump. And he has been struggling for weeks to get any political oxygen at all directed to him in any way that is on his terms. And so this was a way they could get political oxygen on their terms. Despite this reliable DNC messaging, PBS and NPR are supported in part by the involuntary tax money of Trump voters and other conservatives.

The parents contribute one copy or allele of the specific gene. It is a dominant trait, so puppies only need one allele from one parent for it to be present. This physical expression or phenotype is called canine ectodermal dysplasia (CED). It also occurs in Chinese Crested Dogs and Mexical Hairless Dogs or Xoloitzcuintlis. Sadly, research has shown being hairless is a vulnerability in Hairless Chihuahuas; they have a higher mortality rate than those with hair.1 Hairless Chihuahua Breed Origin & History Charles Darwin reported the existence of hairless dogs. The hairless gene is also present in the American Hairless Terrier and Scottish Deerhound, albeit with different genetic origins. It’s unclear whether breeders propagated the Hairless Chihuahua or any other dogs, except for the handful of recognized breeds we’ve mentioned. It’s worth noting that the hairless trait isn’t recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) or the parent club’s official breed standard. The AKC only considers the short- and long-haired variants of the Chihuahua. The Chihuahua Club of America also believes the teacup size is “…incorrect and misleading.” That raises a red flag for would-be buyers without the protection of the animal’s legitimacy. Offspring of the Hairless Chihuahua with a pup with hair would likely be a 1:1 ratio of having or not having the trait. Any puppy inheriting the allele from both parents would perish. That’s partly due to other conditions a hairless dog may inherit, which can adversely affect the animal’s quality of life and longevity. Temperament & Intelligence of the Hairless Chihuahua The Hairless Chihuahua is just as feisty and sassy as the dog’s namesake. This attitude is typical in small breeds, and scientists theorize the pups compensate for their size with this temperament. They may be more defensive and reactive. However, you must also consider the pup’s role as an animal companion. The Chihuahua defends their space and caregiver, and they’re known for their protective nature. Are These Dogs Good for Families? The Hairless Chihuahua can make an excellent family pet in households with older children. Parents should instruct the little ones not to pick up their dogs and must supervise playtime. Research has shown the Chihuahua can be aggressive, making early socialization and training imperative.2 They are sensitive and not tolerant of being alone, and when they’re left alone for long periods, they can suffer from separation anxiety. Nevertheless, you should monitor playtime if that includes time with bigger pups. An active social life is an excellent way to prevent fearfulness, which can spur aggression when meeting other animals. Exposing your Chihuahua to cats and dogs when they are young and taking them on short trips to meet friends will reduce the chance they suffer from stress or fear in unfamiliar situations. The Chihuahua has a moderate prey drive and may chase small animals, but they can get along with cats if they grow up with them. Things to Know When Owning a Hairless Chihuahua: The Hairless Chihuahua isn’t cold-tolerant, which is a primary concern for pet owners. It can be an issue if you want to housebreak your dog and you live in a northern climate. Booties and clothing are essential for the hairless Chihuahua if you take them outside in frigid weather. Below, we’ll discuss the factors to keep in mind when you want to adopt a hairless Chihuahua. Food & Diet Requirements Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar is an issue with the Chihuahua. Officers in Hobbs, New Mexico, responded to the 2100 block of North Rojo early Friday morning in reference to a report of breaking and entering, police said. Hobbs is located about two miles west of the Texas border and just under two hours southwest of Lubbock.Upon arrival at the scene, officers determined that 38-year-old Curtis Thames of Hobbs forced entry into a residence.The police department's news release on the incident does not include a cause of death for Thames' mother.The homeowners, armed with a gun, barricaded themselves in a bedroom, police said. Soon, one of the homeowners fired a round through the bedroom door, striking Thames, police said. Thames died at a local hospital, police said.Police also were told that Thames’ mother, Kristie Thames, resides with him in a neighboring home. Officers tried to make contact with Thames' mother but were unsuccessful, police said.To ensure her welfare, police said officers forced entry into the home and found her dead in a bedroom. The police department's news release on the incident does not include a cause of death for Thames' mother.Police said those who have information regarding the incident can call dispatch at 575-397-9265 or Lea County Crime Stoppers at 575-393-8005. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward, police said, adding that individuals also can message privately on Facebook.How are people reacting?Commenters on the police department's Facebook post about the incident offered a range of reactions. AMD is going all-in on artificial intelligence to power its new frame-generation tech, with the hope of boosting the frame rates and battery life of handheld devices such as the Steam Deck. AMD FSR 4 (FidelityFX Super Resolution 4) will be AMD's fourth release of the technology designed to help boost frame rates in games. AMD revealed that it made the switch internally to focus on an AI-based approach "nine to 12 months ago," because the original FSR technology wasn't "where the future is going" for gamers.
