Any parent can tell you that taking care of a newborn is far from easy, but at least this mother has some company during sleepless nights! Brooke Thomson captured the sweetest footage of her dog, Cedar, staying awake with her while she sat up with the baby. Even though it was three in the morning, this pooch had to make sure that Mom was ok. Now that’s a true best friend! In the adorable video, Brooke was cradling her newborn when, all of a sudden, the dog appeared at her side. Cedar looked a little concerned about the situation, so she came over to investigate. First, the pup gave Mom a quick sniff to see how she was doing. Then, she moved on to the baby. This sweet pooch stood staring at the infant for a long while, as if she wanted to see for herself that the child was well.
