Chris Pratt paid tribute to those who were “taken from us” in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and said we must never forget what happened that “fateful day.” In a post on Wednesday on Instagram, the 45-year-old actor took time out to remember the lives who were taken in the attack and shared several images from the aftermath of the tragedy of that day. “September 11, 2001,” Pratt wrote along with an American flag emoji. “A day that will forever hold a place in our nation’s history. To mark the 21st anniversary of 9/11, Pratt posted a message for all those who died in the terrorist attacks — who “risked their lives for us and our country.” “Today we remember those who woke up, kissed their families goodbye, and went to work without realizing they wouldn’t return,” the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star captioned his post. A focus group that watched former President Donald Trump debate Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday revealed some surprising insights as the candidates touched on key issues in the election. Lee Carter, pollster and president of Maslansky + Partners, conducted the focus group for Fox News, which included having voters react through the use of turn dials that allowed them to respond moment-by-moment to what each candidate was saying. The most surprising result was that on all the major issues — the economy, inflation, illegal immigration and the border, and energy — independents tracked in nearly perfect unison with Republican voters while Democrats had the inverse reactions. On those issues, Democrats responded in a strong positive manner to Harris’ attacks on Trump’s economic agenda. Those same Democrat voters only responded in a moderately positive manner on the rest of the issues. The independent and Republican voters responded in a strong positive manner to what Trump said and in a strong negative manner to what Harris said. The takeaway here is that Trump wins on the issues when he sticks to them and does not take the bait that his opponent and the moderators try to trip him up with. “I was really, really surprised because the intensity of the independent support was there for Donald Trump and I didn’t expect it,” Carter told Fox News host Harris Faulkner on “The Faulkner Focus.” “Independents are tracking very much with Republicans,” she added. “They’re looking for a couple of things. They’re looking for answers on immigration, they’re looking for answers on the economy. They want to hear that things will get better for them and they also want change from what is happening right now. A writer for the New Yorker was mocked and ridiculed after she tried to characterize former President Donald Trump as nonsensical when in fact she was ignorant of a report against his competitor. The article entitled "Donald Trump had a really, really bad debate" by Susan Glasser documented what she saw as failures by the former president in his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris Tuesday. 'She actually said she supports that?'At one point, she revealed her ignorance about the past extreme positions held by the Democratic candidate. His line about how the Vice-President “wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens that are in prison” was pretty memorable, too. What the hell was he talking about? No one knows, which was, of course, exactly Harris’s point. Trump was so unprepared for the debate that even he himself did not seem to know what he was saying at times.In fact, Trump was relying on a report by KFILE investigators at CNN that found Harris had said she supported transgender surgeries for illegal aliens in prison only five years ago. The revelation was so shocking that CNN anchor Erin Burnett expressed bewilderment on-air as Andrew Kaczynski reported it. "Taxpayer-funded gender transition surgeries for detained migrants? She actually said she supports that?" Burnett asked. "It's pretty incredible stuff." No correction was offered in the New Yorker despite it being lambasted on Twitter, and Glasser's tweet about the issue was corrected by a Twitter community note. "The New Yorker is supposed to be legendary for its fact-checking. This one would've taken 5 seconds on google to confirm," said filmmaker Leighton Woodhouse. "Do you even watch CNN, Suzy. You're rather clueless and out of touch," said another detractor. "Oh you didn't do your research about the transgender thing did you? we all get lazy from time to time," read one jab. While Glasser was mocked on social media, her criticism of Trump's debate performance was mirrored by many on the right who said he was far too willing to take the bait dangled in front of him by Harris. Glenn Beck says that Kamala Harris had one job last night: convince Harris skeptics that she was up for the job of president. Harris’ goal was to “appear to be strong, tough, and presidential,” Glenn tells Megyn Kelly. “Did she do that for enough people?” — (@) “No,” is Kelly’s blunt response. “I don’t think there was a game-changer last night. I think most people will say she won the debate. ... I saw someone who engaged in nothing but personal, ad hominem attacks.” “Every chance she could, she went low, insulted him personally, and on that, he absolutely didn’t take the debate,” she continued, noting that Trump “took the debate on every other thing.” “I saw somebody who couldn’t control herself emotionally. She was on screen harrumphing, rolling her eyes, hand up on the chin,” Kelly criticizes. “This country hasn’t elected a female president in 250 years. The person who’s going to be number one is not going to be an emotionally unregulated, harrumphing, sighing hysteric.” “Don’t forget this election is coming down at the margins as men versus women — men are for Trump and women are for Kamala,” she continues, adding that she doesn’t believe that come Election Day, men specifically will be idle. “I just think they’re going to be motivated by how extreme she is on policy. ... She is not a strong leader; she is the opposite of a Margaret Thatcher, and I think her school girl attacks on him personally ... were a real turnoff,” Kelly condemned.
