Vance Tells ABC What Its Trump-Kamala Debate ‘Didn’t Talk Nearly Enough About’

Shortly after the conclusion of the Tuesday presidential debate hosted by ABC News, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) opened up about how he believes the event was lacking. Vance shared his critique in a brief appearance on ABC during its programming that followed the match-up between former President Donald Trump, who picked Vance to be his running mate, and Vice President Kamala Harris. .@JDVance: "This debate didn't talk nearly enough about the fact that Americans are struggling because they can't afford groceries, they can't afford housing, and their kids are dying of fentanyl overdoses because Kamala Harris has let the Mexican drug cartels take over the… pic.twitter.com/dN8r2R3nvV — Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) September 11, 2024 “This debate didn’t talk nearly enough about the fact that Americans are struggling because they can’t afford groceries, they can’t afford housing, and their kids are dying of fentanyl overdoses because Kamala Harris has let the Mexican drug cartels take over the southern border,” Vance said. “This is a disgrace what’s going on in our country,” he continued, adding, “… and we could do so much better if we just had better leadership. We’ve got the best workers, the most beautiful country, the best natural resources, but Kamala Harris’ leadership is squandering the great benefits of this country. It’s why we’ve got to get back to Donald Trump’s leadership.” Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. Harris and Trump clashed on such issues as abortion, the economy, national security, and border security. The moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, have faced intense criticism from the Right for challenging Trump on his claims while neglecting to do the same kind of fact-checking against Harris. Following the ABC debate, Harris’ team called for a second face-off in October. Responding on Fox News, Trump said Harris wanted a second debate “because she lost.” Pressed by host Sean Hannity whether he would agree to another match, Trump said he might be inclined to do it “if it was on a fair network.” Trump previously floated three debates, but Harris would only agree to one. Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, Trump’s co-campaign managers, said in a post-debate statement that people “saw President Trump lay out his bold vision of America and how he would continue to build upon the successes of his first term by supercharging the economy, securing the border, and stopping crime from ravaging communities across the country.” They also said, “Conversely, Kamala’s vision of America was a dark reminder of the oppressive, big government policies of Joe Biden that she wants to continue. High inflation, a porous border that allows criminals and terrorists to flood across, and being soft on crime — that is what Kamala represents.”

CNN Poll: After Debate, Even More Voters Trust Trump More On Economy

CNN Poll: After Debate, Even More Voters Trust Trump More On Economy

A CNN poll taken after the presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris found that the percentage of voters who trust Trump more on the economy rose from +16% to +20%. CNN’s Jake Tapper introduced the poll by saying to CNN political director David Chalian, “The first results of our instant poll of debate-watchers have just come in and David Chalian is going to join us now to break it all down. David, tell us more.” “Yeah, Jake, and as you noted, this is a poll of debate watchers,” Chalian pointed out. “This is not a poll that represents the overall population, although in partisan breakdown it is pretty close to what the overall registered population looks like in the country.” Later in the broadcast, Chalian showed the result when debate-watchers were asked whom they trusted more on the economy, Trump or Harris, and found that although Trump led Harris by 16 points before the debate, 53%-37%, after the debate, Trump’s lead soared to 20%, 55%-35%. CNN: More voters trust Trump on the economy AFTER watching the debate. pic.twitter.com/TbnCGBi8AM — Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) September 11, 2024   During the debate, Trump stated, “We’ve had a terrible economy because inflation has — which is really known as a country buster. It breaks up countries. We have inflation like very few people have ever seen before. Probably the worst in our nation’s history. … everybody knows I’m an open book. Everybody knows what I’m going to do. Cut taxes very substantially. And create a great economy like I did before. We had the greatest economy.” Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. The centrality of the economy for voters has been amply reported in the media for months: September 10: CBS News: “About 8 in 10 adults tell CBS News that the economy is a major factor in their choice at the polls, outpacing issues such as abortion and climate change.” The Economist/YouGov poll, August 11-13: 73% of those polled said jobs and the economy were very important to them, far surpassing any other issue. July 30: Statista: “A survey conducted in July 2024 found that the most important issue for 25 percent of Americans was inflation and prices. A further ten percent of respondents were most concerned about jobs and the economy.” March 6: Data For Progress noted that between July 2023 to February 2024, inflation “held the top spot for the majority of the time” among issues important to voters.

Couple Spots Abandoned “Marshmallow” Hiding In The Grass During Their Hike

You never know what you might discover on a hike. Carolyn McCabe and her boyfriend are no strangers to this fun activity, but even they were blown away by something that caught their eye on the trail. The unknown item was tucked away in some nearby greenery. In hindsight, it’s a wonder they even noticed. At first, they didn’t even have a clue as to what they had found — all they knew is it was something white and fairly round. Once they were able to get closer, they finally solved the mystery. Somehow, they managed to stumble upon an abandoned guinea pig. The poor creature was all alone, so the couple scooped him up, placing him inside their frisbee golf bag. From here, they took him home so they could locate his owner. Unfortunately, they never did. But what did happen, quite literally, changed the lives of everyone involved. @idonotcarol The story of Quinn hehe #guineapigs #animals #adoption ♬ The Kite Live by Luisa Marion – luisa_marion_music As Carolyn explains in the above video, getting to know and care for this sweet guinea pig, named Quinn, was such a delight. He turned out to be such a sweetie, making it all the more baffling that anyone would abandon him. But as much as they loved him, Carolyn’s cat and allergies made it impossible to keep him. Finding him a new home, however, was easy! While on a Hike, This Couple Changes the Life of an Abandoned Guinea Pig “That poor babe is so lucky you found him!! Thank you,” someone shares in the comment section of the video, with another adding, “How could somebody dump off that sweet little marshmallow.” “Thank you so much for saving him,” a third person shares. “I’ve had guinea pigs for about 8 yrs and they are amazing animals.” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here!
