The King of Country rides again with one of the most heartfelt and sonically pleasing albums I’ve heard since Alan Jackson’s 2021 Where Have You Gone. There is something about the sincerity in a traditional country song that resonates on a deeply emotional level. One of the reasons this website was started was to prove that modern country and traditional leaning country can coexist peacefully and even overlap sometimes as seen with Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, and others.  “Sometimes I feel like I’m part of a dying breed..” The guitar riffs and overall feel of the title song Cowboys and Dreamers is a tip of the hat to Waylon, and well Willie could not be too far behind as there is a reference to Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain.  King George also gives everyone chasing a dream solid advice throughout the album like: In George Strait's new album you'll find Mia Down In MIA, a witty, and frolicky Florida fun tune. About the only thing missing in this song is a reference to Jimmy Buffett.. Wish I Could Say is probably one of my favorite songs on my first listen through. It is  stone cold country and written by Keith Gattis, who passed away just last year. Calling From The Car could have easily been recorded by Conway or even George Jones. The song has an undeniable throwback twang   I was happy to see a Jim Lauderdale co-penned song on the album. He is such an amazing songwriter .“You can’t always trust your feelings, you have to look out for your heart..” George has been reading my emails..sigh.. The song It’s The Little Things speaks the truth. We realize what truly matters as we grow up and become adults. Some of us begin to understand what truly matters in life, and it is the little things.. One of the many standouts on the album is Rent, a song written by Keith Gattis and the legendary Guy Clark. George introduces the song with a heartfelt acknowledgement. The song is a lesson in narrative songwriting. The detail is so rich that you can see the stained Stetson mentioned in the song. Every songwriter and enthusiast should listen to the song. This is King George’s 32 studio album, and he sounds great! His voice is more soulful, and even stirring on some songs. There is a detectable effortless credibility that he’s earned after four decades of hits, tours, and unmatched accomplishments. It’s the sort of stuff that legends are made of, make no mistake, George Strait is a living legend. For those that are already fans, this album will be an utter, and unabashed delight. If you are new to country, and have been sipping country lite via your top 40 country radio station, and are ready to try something a little harder, spin King George’s Cowboys and Dreamers with a shot of George’s Codigo. This is what many feel country music should  sound like.. The Waylon Jennings' cover is pure fire! I’m just happy we have a new King George album, and it’s sooo good. Play it, stream it, buy it, download it, share it, every country music fan should hear this record.. They don’t write them like this anymore.. There’s a new cub on the block at San Diego Zoo, and conservationists are elated to welcome this tiny Sumatran tiger into the world. This little kitty is absolutely adorable, but that’s not the only reason wildlife specialists are excited. According to San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, this cub’s birth marks a significant stride toward saving an endangered species! In the wild, these majestic creatures have dwindled down to the hundreds. San Diego Zoo captured some of the most breathtaking footage of their new Sumatran tiger cub napping with their mother. You wouldn’t believe how tiny this baby looks next to an adult! A lot of thought and effort went into breeding the San Diego Zoo’s precious new tiger cub. Experts worked together within the AZA Sumatran Tiger Species Survival Plan Program to make sure that the newborn’s parents would contribute the best possible genes toward the future of the species. Jillian, the cub’s mother, was a careful choice. “We are thrilled at the birth of this very special tiger cub at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park,” said Lisa Peterson, who is both senior vice president and executive director at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. “This birth adds Jillian’s incredibly important genes into the pool of the population, furthering the genetic diversity and health of the Sumatran tiger species.” So far, things are looking good for this Sumatran tiger cub.
