I would say that "I prefer to remain silent". I would not ID myself as I choose to identify as a "living man". You’ve seen the unforgettable part in The Lion King where all the animals celebrate Simba’s birth, but have you ever seen it recreated with penguins? In an adorable video on social media, ornithologist Olga Demina created a feathered adaptation of the classic cartoon scene. We’d say she captured the spirit of the iconic moment pretty well. What a creative way to welcome a baby penguin into the world! In Olga’s clip, she took on the role of Rafiki as he anoints the newborn Simba. Just like in The Lion King, the woman placed a red mark on the baby penguin’s forehead. Then, she sprinkled some powder on their face, which they promptly shook off. Meanwhile, the baby bird’s parents were watching the ceremony fondly. @olya_penguins ♬ original sound – Olga Demina Finally, it was time for everyone’s favorite moment: when Rafiki holds baby Simba up in the air so that the other creatures can see their new monarch. As Olga lifted the little bird, all the other penguins went wild like the animals in the film. How she did this with a straight face, we’ll never know! In the precious video, the ornithologist placed her footage alongside the actual movie scene for comparison. Her rendition was spot-on! Even though the penguins didn’t know what was going on, it still looked like they had a good time helping her make this parody of The Lion King. She really seems to love these water birds! Although most of her videos aren’t in English, you can still see some pretty incredible footage on her social media accounts. Even though this scene from The Lion King reads a little differently with penguins in the main roles, it’s pretty darn cute. Who knows?
