According to the North Miami Police Department, last week the family of 71-year-old Elin Etienne reported him missing from North Dade Nursing and Rehabilitation in North Miami, Florida. On August 22, 2024, a representative from the facility contacted the family and told them Elin was missing, his niece, Kimberly, reported.

The legendary British singer and pianist Elton John (77) retired from touring in 2023 but still performs a few songs on special occasions from time to time. But he revealed through his social media that he is now recovering from an eye infection that caused the temporary blindness of one of his eyes. The Queen co-founder and guitarist Brian May revealed on his social media that he suffered what the doctors described as a minor stroke about a week ago. He said he was unable to move his left arm for a few but that he was already recovering and was able to play the guitar. I say this because it was in some doubt because that little health hiccup that I mentioned happened about a week ago, and what they called it was a minor stroke. The musician then praised the medical team of the Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley, Surrey, calling them: "the most fantastic care and attention. Blue lights flashing the lot, very exciting." He also explained that he didn't said anything about before: "because I didn't want anything surrounding it. I really don't want sympathy. Please don't do that, because it'll clutter up my inbox, and I hate that. The good news is I'm okay. I'm just doing what I’m told, which is basically nothing. I'm grounded, I'm not allowed to go out, drive, get on a plane. I'm not allowed to raise the heart rate too high. But I am good." Almost five years ago Brian had a "small" heart attack and discovered that his arteries were congested and in danger of blocking the supply of blood to his heart. They quickly became during that decade one of the most successful and influential bands in the world. The group was active for 50 years until they decided to retire in 2023 but the only two original members of the band who were part of all their releases were Simmons and Stanley. The legendary Beach Boys co-founder and mastermind Brian Wilson (82) already dealt for decades with Schizoaffective disorder but he was recently  placed in a conservatorship after being diagnosed with a "major neurocognitive disorder", which also forced him to now use a wheelchair. His most recent tour dates happened in 2022 and at the time his longtime friend and Beach Boys co-founder Al Jardine was touring with him. Now in an interview with Rolling Stone, Jardine said that he has plans to resurrect Brian Wilson's touring band and tour using his name although he only might appear in shows in the Los Angeles area. Jardine is currently promoting his new solo single called "Wish" Al Jardine said about his plans to tour with Brian Wilson's band without Brian Wilson “Brian has agreed to allow me to use the name of his band to resurrect that incredible Brian band that we worked with so wonderfully for the last 20 or 30 years. I’m looking forward to meeting up with him shortly and working out a schedule to do a couple of benefit concerts that we can do in L.A. Then maybe kick off an actual tour from there maybe early next year.” He said he is not exactly sure how the tour will be called but he said it might be something like "'The Brian Wilson Band Presented by Fellow Beach Boy Al Jardine.'
