Democrat-Led State Ends Experiment, Recriminalizes Possession Of Hard Drugs

In Oregon, it will once again be a crime to possess hard drugs such as fentanyl, heroin and meth. The Democrat-led state became the first in the nation to decriminalize possession of small amounts of hard drugs after a 2020 ballot measure. Oregon re-criminalizes the possession of hard drugs, including meth and heroin https://t.co/3f3NTFwro5 — John Solomon (@jsolomonReports) September 2, 2024 From the Associated Press: The Democratic-controlled Legislature passed the recriminalization law in March, overhauling a measure approved by 58% of voters in 2020 that made possessing illicit drugs like heroin punishable by a ticket and a maximum $100 fine. The measure directed hundreds of millions of dollars in cannabis tax revenue toward addiction services, but the money was slow to get out the door at a time when the fentanyl crisis was causing a spike in deadly overdoses and health officials — grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic — were struggling to stand up the new treatment system, state auditors found. The new law taking effect Sunday, which passed with the support of Republican lawmakers who had long opposed decriminalization, makes so-called personal use possession a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail. It aims to make it easier for police to crack down on drug use in public and introduced harsher penalties for selling drugs near places such as parks. Supporters of decriminalization say treatment is more effective than jail in helping people overcome addiction and that the decadeslong approach of arresting people for possessing and using drugs hasn’t worked. Oregon reverses course and recriminalizes possession of hard drugs including fentanyl and heroin https://t.co/sixnJ9lzlI pic.twitter.com/CvgwO9N3bT — New York Post (@nypost) September 2, 2024 WATCH: Oregon’s experiment with drug decriminalization ends today, and the possession of small amounts of hard drugs will once again be considered a crime. Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Michelle Wiley discusses. More: https://t.co/5N831I2LR7 pic.twitter.com/Dp2ns2kENg — ABC News Live (@ABCNewsLive) September 1, 2024 Per Fox News: Offenders who choose treatment programs will have to meet strict eligibility criteria to avoid charges, Portland police chief Bob Day told the Guardian, mandating that those caught in possession have “no other charges, no warrants, no violent behavior, medically stable.” If someone caught in possession of hard drugs chooses and is eligible to participate in a deflection program, officers will call their county’s deflection dispatch line and connect to a mobile behavioral health outreach team. “If the behavioral health people cannot be there within 30 minutes, we’re going to go to jail. We’re not able to just wait around,” Day said. “There is certainly a lack of equity in that. But I would argue that it’s not necessarily common. I’m not saying it’s right.” Nevertheless, detractors of the new law have argued that it is too complicated, noting that every county will have different resources and rules that could confuse drug users who face possible criminal penalties.

President Trump Explains Why He Didn’t “LOCK UP” Hillary Clinton

Remember 2016 and the biggest catchphrase was “Lock Her Up”? And then….he didn’t? It’s so funny that they want to call Donald Trump a Dictator, and yet he’s demonstrated at every turn that he will always choose the option best for Democracy and best for our Country. No new wars under President Trump either! And back to Hillary, President Trump tells an incredible story to Mark Levin about why he chose to not go after her. In short, he makes it sound like he had a pretty rock solid case he could have brought and won and literally locked her up, but he felt it wasn’t good for the Country.  So he didn’t do it. What does the Deep State do in return? Goes after him for everything, including fabricating new laws and made up claims! You know what you should probably never do to a very powerful man?  You should never confuse his kindness for weakness.  And I have a feeling they’re about to learn that lesson very soon. Watch this incredible clip here: Trump says he didn’t Lock Hillary Clinton up because he was Trying to Unite the Country and it would have set a horrible precedent to lock up the Secretary of State and the wife of a former President in an already toxic country under Obama… BUT… now people are going to start… pic.twitter.com/6NZP8JPVE9 — MJTruthUltra (@MJTruthUltra) September 2, 2024 Trump says he didn’t Lock Hillary Clinton up because he was Trying to Unite the Country and it would have set a horrible precedent to lock up the Secretary of State and the wife of a former President in an already toxic country under Obama… BUT… now people are going to start looking at it differently… THIS I continue to believe that Donald Trump HAD TO set the precedent first, in order for the kind of justice and changes that is on the horizon. If you want to watch the full interview, I have it for you below. Enjoy: WATCH: President Trump Sits Down With Mark Levin [Full Interview] President Trump just sat down with (the great one) Mark Levin, and it was a fascinating conversation! They covered a wide-range of topics and Levin did a great job of asking tough questions and then letting President Trump speak. I have it for you in two parts, please enjoy! Part 1: Part 2:

Australia’s Victoria state included professional athletes in its COVID-19 jab mandate in 2021. The soccer community has rallied to honour a rising star who died unexpectedly in her sleep at the age of 19 with tributes pouring in for a 'beautiful gentle soul’https://t.co/TQz22YcENH pic.twitter.com/26N8NUv77q — “Sudden And Unexpected” (@toobaffled) August 30, 2024 Reuters noted: Australia’s Victoria state has included professional athletes in a vaccination mandate that will require about 1.25 million “authorised workers” to have two COVID-19 shots by the end of November. Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews announced the health order on Friday as the southern state grapples with an outbreak of the highly infectious Delta variant. The categories of authorised workers released by the Victoria government include “professional or high-performance sportsperson, workers that support the safe running of that person’s professional sport” and broadcasters. Authorised workers must have their first vaccine shot by Oct. 15 and their second by Nov. 26 or face being banned from their workplaces. “Ultimately, if you want to come to work and you’re on the authorised list, you need to have your first jab by (Oct. 15),” Andrews told reporters as Victoria announced 1,143 new local COVID-19 cases on Friday. Victoria is Australia’s first state to introduce such a sweeping vaccine mandate, though vaccination was made compulsory for workers in aged care last month across the country. Victoria is home to dozens of professional teams in soccer, cricket, Australian Rules football and rugby, and is also a base for high performance hubs in tennis, golf, athletics and other sports.

Biden-Harris Create a New Path for Illegal Immigration Out of Whole Cloth

You will soon get to witness yet another illegal immigration plan conjured up illegally by the Biden-Harris administration. Undoubtedly, there will be no resistance. Biden-Harris will provide buses from two southern Mexico cities to the U.S. border. They will have meals and security. In the U.S., they will attend ‘asylum’ appointments scheduled under the CBO-One […] The post Biden-Harris Create a New Path for Illegal Immigration Out of Whole Cloth appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

On Tuesday, a federal judge rejected Donald Trump’s request to intervene in his New York hush money criminal case. The case is corrupt, but the New York courts are more corrupt. Model Elle Macpherson Refused Chemo Following Secret Breast Cancer Diagnosis Seven Years Ago

Supermodel Elle Macpherson is discussing a cancer diagnosis she received seven years ago and how she refused to do traditional treatments despite medical recommendations. The 60-year-old celebrity is opening up about what happened in advance of her new book, “Elle,” which is being released in November. “It was a shock, it was unexpected, it was confusing, it was daunting in so many ways,” Macpherson told The Australian Women’s Weekly of being diagnosed with breast cancer. “And it really gave me an opportunity to dig deep in my inner sense to find a solution that worked for me… I realized I was going to need my own truth, my belief system to support me through it. And that’s what I did.” Despite the model’s doctor recommending a mastectomy with chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone therapy, Macpherson opted for “an intuitive, heart-led, holistic approach” instead, which earned her mixed reactions from family members. “I realized I was going to need my own truth, my belief system to support me through it,” she told the outlet. “And that’s what I did. So, it was a wonderful exercise in being true to myself, trusting myself and trusting the nature of my body and the course of action that I had chosen.” “I chose a holistic approach. Saying no to standard medical solutions was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. But saying no to my own inner sense would have been even harder,” she wrote in her book. The model also talked about how in her opinion, not everyone should take the same approach to cancer treatment. “Sometimes an authentic choice from the heart makes no sense to others … but it doesn’t have to. People thought
I was crazy but I knew I had to make
a choice that truly resonated with
me. To me, that meant addressing emotional as well as physical factors associated with breast cancer. It
was time for deep, inner reflection. And that took courage.” Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. Her sons Flynn and Cy, who were 19 and 14 at the time, had different reactions, as did the boys’ father and her former partner Arki Busson. Macpherson wrote in the book, “Cy simply thought that chemo kills you. And so he never wanted me to do it because he thought that was a kiss of death. Flynn, being more conventional, wasn’t comfortable with my choice at all. He is my son, though, and would support me through anything and love me through my choices, even if he didn’t agree with them. My children were extremely supportive in their different ways but I knew they felt very scared.” “Arki was really supportive,” she continued. “He didn’t agree with what I was doing … Yet he wrote to me to tell me how proud he was of the courage I was showing. Of course he was scared because I’d decided not to take a conventional pharmaceutical route. He considered that extreme.
I, on the other hand, felt the chemo and surgery route was extreme.” The Australian-born star also shared an update on her current health. “In traditional terms, they’d say I’m in clinical remission, but I would say I’m in utter wellness. And I am!” she said. “Truly, from every perspective, every blood test, every scan, every imaging test … but also emotionally, spiritually and mentally – not only physically. It’s not only what your blood tests say, it’s how and why you are living your life on all levels.”
