FF14 director Yoshida has big plans to build on Dawntrail’s combat

FF14 Dawntrail might have divided opinions with its slightly lower-stakes story and the sideline role for its core cast, but there’s one aspect everyone seems in unison on. The combat content in the MMORPG’s new expansion - dungeons, trials, raids, savages, and extremes alike - has all been incredibly well received. It combines the inventive and flashy designs seen during Endwalker with more unique and challenging mechanics, and it's a ton of fun as a result. At Gamescom 2024, I sat down with game director Naoki Yoshida to ask about his plans for the upcoming patches, which include the FF11-adjacent alliance raid and new 24-player savage content. Razer’s new Wolverine V3 Pro controller is turning into a gaming mouse

Razer has announced its latest Xbox-licensed and PC-ready game controller, the Wolverine V3 Pro. Featuring dual-mode triggers that offer analog smoothness or mouse click response, the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is packed with high-end hardware but comes with a hefty price to match. The Razer Wolverine has long been among the best PC controller options on the market, with its premium build and features, though they've often been on the expensive side. Sadly, the Wolverine V3 Pro doesn't break that trend, but if you're after a top-class controller, it might be the one for you. Who cares about iPhone sideloading? All I want is Apple Intelligence

Apple is about to release the final version of iOS 18 after nearly three months of beta testing. As with previous iOS releases, it'll be available on hundreds of millions of iPhones as soon as Apple rolls it out. However, unlike previous years, iOS 18 will deliver the biggest software fragmentation in iPhone history. Even once iOS 18 is released, only a tiny percentage of iPhones that are currently in use will support Apple Intelligence. Apple's AI has specific hardware requirements, so it's only compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the upcoming iPhone 16 series. In addition, Apple has been making changes to iOS in Europe to comply with the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA). iPhone sideloading is happening in Europe, complete with third-party App Store alternatives, third-party payments, and support for changing multiple Apple default apps on iPhone. As a longtime iPhone owner who lives in Europe, I'll get access to all that iPhone sideloading "magic," but I'll be left out when it comes to Apple Intelligence. Apple's AI is not available to me because I don't own the right iPhone. I'm about to change that once the iPhone 16 arrives, yet I still won't have access to Apple Intelligence. Apple isn't rolling it out to Europe right away and it's unclear when it's coming to the region. I will say that I'd gladly trade iPhone sideloading for Apple Intelligence if it were up to me. Taco Biscuit Cups

Kid approved Taco Biscuit Cups are an easy handheld meal made with ground beef, taco seasoning, biscuit dough, and shredded cheddar cheese! A FUN AND SIMPLE FAMILY FRIENDLY DINNER These Taco Biscuit Cups are the perfect family friendly meal! Kids love them since they’re just a few bites each and they’re great for adding to a meal to liven it up a bit. Plus, I think this is an ideal recipe to get the kids to help out with. If you’re looking for a tasty recipe for little hands to have some fun with and get some kitchen experience, these kid friendly biscuit cups are just what you need to try. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:  What can I serve or top these with? Serve as is or with your favorite taco toppings, such as sour cream and diced tomatoes. What other cheese options can I try? Other cheeses that would be good are quesadilla cheese, white cheddar, pepper jack, Monterey jack, and Colby jack. Do I have to use cilantro? Cilantro is totally optional. But, I like the color and flavor it adds to these cups. Flat leaf parsley or green onions can be substituted or just leave it out all together.  Can I make these with crescent rolls? Yep! Check out my recipe for Crescent Taco Cups on how to do that. How to store leftover Taco Biscuit Cups? Keep leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days. Keep them longer in the freezer for up to 3 months. What’s the best way to reheat biscuit cups? I like to reheat these in the microwave or covered with foil in the oven. INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE) ground beef – you can use ground turkey or chicken as well. packet taco seasoning– use a packet of store bought mix for convenience, or make your own Homemade Taco Seasoning. water fresh chopped cilantro – this is totally optional. I know people love it or hate it or maybe you just don’t have it on hand. canned refrigerator biscuits – I prefer the homestyle biscuits but you can use the flaky layers too. Just don’t get the larger Grands biscuits, they’ll be too large for this unless you cut them in half. shredded cheddar cheese – if you want to add a little kick, try using pepper jack cheese. HOW TO MAKE TACO BISCUIT CUPS: Preheat oven to 400°F degrees. Spray muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray. In a large skillet, brown and crumble ground beef for 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess grease. Add the taco seasoning and water, and stir to combine. Simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes. Stir in the cilantro and take off the heat. Separate the biscuits and place them into greased muffin tins. Press the dough up and along the sides. Divide the meat mixture between muffins (you may have just a small amount left over). Sprinkle each one with shredded cheddar cheese. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
