Washed-Up Former CNN Host Lemon Litters New Book All Over NYC

In case anyone actually cares, washed up former CNN host Don Lemon wrote another book… about himself. Since he can’t seem to find anyone who wants to read it, he decided to litter the streets of New York City with this latest piece of garbage: “I’m going to hide more books all around NYC,” wrote Don Lemon, above a video posted on X with the caption “Who will find my unreleased book first?” I'm going to hide more books all around NYC ?? pic.twitter.com/6MSIte2ehB — Don Lemon (@donlemon) August 28, 2024 The ten-second clip shows him propping up one of his books on a traffic pole outside Radio City Music Hall, before scampering away like a giddy child. In typical fashion of an out-of-touch A-lister, he was completely blindsided by the tsunami of X users ratioing him with comments like these: They are all still there. Nobody wants them. Not even the homeless to wipe their ass. — Oreo Express Normal/Not Mentally Ill (@OreoExpress) August 28, 2024 It’s pretty hypocritical of a climate hysteric to litter, as many people have pointed out. littering is a crime https://t.co/MyI6FF8P3H — Tim Pool (@Timcast) August 28, 2024 It never ceases to amaze me how New Yorkers think it’s perfectly acceptable to just dump their garbage on the side of the road.pic.twitter.com/fMHUTqEX2U — Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) August 28, 2024 So, if you happen to be walking down the streets of NYC anytime soon, trip over something next to a pile of hobo droppings and see Don Lemon’s moody headshot above the words “I Once Was Lost,” congratulations! You are one of the lucky winners of Don's word garbage. Like all his other autobiographies, this is a novel about how Lemon is a black, gay victim of oppression, despite having a $12 million net worth. He is likely still outside now, hiding behind the corner, desperately waiting for someone to come read it.

Sulky CNN Can’t Take Zuck’s Biden-Censorship Mea Culpa: ‘Election-Season Gift' to GOP

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg issued a surprise letter to House Judiciary Committee chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), for the first time publicly regretting caving into pressure from the Biden Administration to censor so-called misinformation about COVID-19 and election issues, including “humor and satire,” from Facebook and Instagram. Zuckerberg also regretted the Hunter Biden laptop censorship fiasco. CNN editor Jon Passantino, under an unusual solo byline at CNN.com reduced the vital free-speech question to the image of Zuckerberg virtually donning a MAGA hat for Trump 2024, for the crime of admitting he shouldn’t have been such a passive tool for Democratic-prodded censorship in 2020: “Mark Zuckerberg’s election-season gift to Republicans.” (He wasn't alone: Deadline.com posted the headline "Mark Zuckerberg Says Biden Administration Pressured Meta To Censor Covid Content, In Gift To House Republicans.") The report from petulant Passantino, editor of CNN’s slanted media newsletter Reliable Sources (now on hiatus), condemned Zuckerberg for giving aid and comfort to enemy Republicans. Note what words he puts in scare quotes. Mark Zuckerberg is handing Republicans political victories ahead of the 2024 presidential election, acquiescing to years of GOP grievances over his company’s policies. In recent days, the Meta chief executive has made newsworthy public statements implicitly supporting right-wing “censorship” narratives and offered praise for Donald Trump as “badass” – even as he claimed he wanted to appear “neutral” and nonpartisan. (Passantino belatedly described the “badass” comment in its non-partisan context, quoting what Zuckerberg told Bloomberg: “Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life.”) On Monday, Zuckerberg sent a letter to the powerful House Judiciary Committee, stating that the Biden administration had “pressured” Meta to “censor” content during the pandemic. “In 2021, senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree,” Zuckerberg said. What mild criticism Passantino offered was brief, passively couched, and blamed only the social media companies, not the Biden administration. It’s not uncommon for social media companies to reevaluate their approach to content moderation in the run-up to elections, and some experts now believe the companies may have overdone it at times in the 2020 cycle. Passantino treated the very term “censorship” as dubious. But the decision to make such a disclosure in a letter to the House Judiciary Committee is notable; the committee is chaired by Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, who has repeatedly pushed false rhetoric that the 2020 election was stolen and celebrated the dismantling of academic institutions dedicated to researching election misinformation. Does anyone seriously think left-wing academics would treat conservative viewpoints fairly if they had the power to squelch them instead? Zuckerberg’s decision to describe the White House’s attempts to flag Covid misinformation as pressure and censorship came despite a 6-3 decision this summer by the Supreme Court ruling that the federal government had not overstepped by asking platforms to take down potential misinformation. But Zuckerberg’s letter publicly played into the hands of Republicans, who have long falsely claimed that social media platforms colluded with liberal government officials to censor conservative voices…. (MRC's Free Speech America project would beg to differ.) He even defended the censoring, a few weeks before the 2020 Trump-Biden match, of a legitimate news story about the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop. Passantino shifted the subject to the New York Post having allegedly assisted a Russian narrative: But while the contents of the laptop that the Post reported on turned out to be authentic, according to the Justice Department, the New York Post’s reporting in 2020 peddled a false narrative that was being simultaneously pushed by the Russian government. That false narrative claimed Joe Biden had “pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating” the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, where his son was on the board. Reason writer Jesse Walker found Passantino’s article “terrible,” writing on X: "It's not easy to follow the Alice-in-Wonderland logic of this terrible article, but I think it boils down to ‘You shouldn't reveal true information because it might be used to bolster claims that aren't true.’”

Is the joy surrounding Kamala authentic? Blaze Media journalist who went undercover at DNC has the answer

Last week, investigative journalist and Blaze Media correspondent Steve Baker went undercover at the DNC in Chicago to get an insider’s perspective on mysteries, such as whether the “joy” surrounding is Kamala authentic. Is the left’s platform built on real policies or just Trump hatred? What are they talking about behind the scenes? Now Baker joins Jill Savage and the “Blaze News Tonight” panel to share his findings. - YouTube www.youtube.com Embedded with an organization friendly with Blaze Media, Baker stayed at a hotel “that was greatly populated by ... delegates, congressional members, senators, governors — all types of politicians within the Democratic Party machine.” While many might wonder whether Baker would be recognized due to his Jan 6 trial, he was able to fly under the radar with the help of a hired actress and model who helped spark and steer conversations in beneficial directions. “We had a lot of conversations with quite a few important people within the Democratic Party,” he tells Jill and Blaze Media editor in chief Matthew Peterson, “but we're not going to get those surprise shocking statements because what's shocking anymore coming from them? They're as extreme as they can possibly be.” “This is a party of people who are motivated by their feelings; they're motivated by an image and not by the numbers, the facts, the math,” he explains, adding that “the overriding sacrament of abortion seems to be the largest driving factor for the Democratic machine.” “What were the feelings like of the people that you were actually interacting with? Were they really excited for Kamala Harris?” asks Jill. Unfortunately, the answer is yes. When Baker watched the speech from the hotel lobby alongside several other people, most of them were “cheering” for Harris. “There were people cheering in the bar area. Weight staff would stop and just gush over her,” Baker admits. As for the actual delegates who watched Harris’ speech from the hotel lobby, Baker says “they were effusive.” Some even said “it was the best speech they had ever seen.” It’s clear that they believe “this is their moment in history because they are excited about a woman of color finally becoming president of this country,” says Baker. “Doesn't matter what the issue is; it seems it's more about the looks, the feelings, the packaging than it is the actual issues themselves.” To hear more of Baker’s report, watch the clip above. Supreme Court denies Biden bid to reinstate multi-billion dollar student debt plan

Democratic President Joe Biden's student debt plan was dealt a temporary defeat at the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday. The "Saving on a Valuable Education" plan was a part of Biden's student loan forgiveness program, which was also defeated by the Supreme Court in 2023. Critics of Biden's student debt plans say that loan 'forgiveness' is merely a euphemism for the debt being foisted upon the taxpayers. It was passed in June 2023 and challenged by a lawsuit filed with the support of attorneys general from 11 Republican-led states, including South Carolina, Texas, and Florida. The lawsuit argued that the plan to forgive student debt far exceeded the repayment precedent that the Biden administration was claiming. The Biden administration asked that the program be reinstated while the case is considered, but the court ruled that it would continue to be blocked. A statement from some of the states in the lawsuit said that Biden's new plan was not substantively different from the debt forgiveness that the court had already ruled against. “This current attempt to unilaterally cancel debt is every bit as unlawful as the first 12-digit effort this Court rejected," they said. The administration disagreed. “Our Administration will continue to aggressively defend the SAVE Plan – which has helped over 8 million borrowers access lower monthly payments, including 4.5 million borrowers who have had a zero dollar payment each month," said White House spokesperson Angelo Fernández Hernández. "And, we won’t stop fighting against Republican elected officials’ efforts to raise costs on millions of their own constituents’ student loan payments,” he added. Critics of Biden's student debt plans say that loan "forgiveness" is merely a euphemism for the debt being foisted upon the taxpayers. Biden had promised in the 2020 campaign that he would seek student loan debt relief, and critics on the left have lambasted him for being unable to implement his plans. Like Blaze News? Yes, Jesus Christ cares about 'politics'

Yes, Jesus Christ cares about 'politics'

"Jesus Christ brought about a spiritual revolution, not a political one!" You’ll often hear this cope coming from the non-Apostolic apologetics types. Everything Jesus was about was political because that's all politics is; it's a material demonstration of one’s spiritual essence. There’s a weird compulsion among many self-professed Christians to separate the spiritual realm from the physical realm. They go to church on Sundays. They read their Bibles every now and then. They get on their knees and make their prayers every night. They feel good inside. But as soon as those chores are completed, it’s back to the “real” world. God is compartmentalized. God has his “place.” Outside church, God is nothing more than imaginary. Because, don’t you see, Jesus saved our souls, but he didn’t challenge any political orthodoxies. He wanted you to go to the designated place of worship one day out of the week but didn’t care what you did with the rest of your allotted time here in the physical plane. After all, Jesus clearly made a distinction between the spiritual realm and the physical realm. Except all of that couldn’t be farther from the truth. And I don’t need to allude to any specific red-letter verses from Scripture to wake you up. All I need is to direct your attention to his person. What does it mean when the Bible says that the Word became flesh? More precisely, what was accomplished by the Word becoming flesh? The answer? Reconciliation. Our world was officially reconciled with the kingdom of Heaven by the coming of Jesus Christ. Our material realm was reunited and synchronized with the spiritual realm. What else are we possibly saying when we say that God became man? We’re saying that there is no separation between the spiritual and the physical. If God was indeed here in our very midst, it means that the physical is spiritual. That the political is spiritual. Which means that all politically imbued "shoulds" — "We should give women the right to abort"; "We should take our 10th booster shot"; “We should let children get gender-affirming medical procedures” — are a culmination of one's spiritual framework brought to the surface. Everything Jesus was about was political because that's all politics is; it's a material demonstration of one’s spiritual essence. And if you’re a Bible-believing Christian, then it only follows that you must believe that Jesus Christ’s existence in the physical realm is proof of that. Once that realization is internalized within your being, there’s no going back to the default mindset of neatly separating politics from religion. Because politics is religious. And if you think otherwise, take a good hard look in the mirror next time someone shouts “Trust the science” in your face during the next government-mandated lockdown. If you're someone who separates the political revolution from the spiritual revolution, I just have to assume you're evil. Because how exactly am I supposed to trust someone who compartmentalizes and shelves his morality that conveniently?

California State Assembly passes sweeping AI safety bill

Illustration by Cath Virginia / The Verge | Photos from Getty Images The California State Assembly has passed the Safe and Secure Innovation for Frontier Artificial Intelligence Models Act (SB 1047), Reuters reports. The bill is one of the first significant regulations of artificial intelligence in the US. The bill, which has been a flashpoint for debate in Silicon Valley and beyond, would obligate AI companies operating in California to implement a number of precautions before they train a sophisticated foundation model. Those include making it possible to quickly and fully shut the model down, ensuring the model is protected against “unsafe post-training modifications,” and maintaining a testing procedure to evaluate whether a model or its derivatives is especially at risk of “causing or enabling a...
