French, German Police Arrest Islamic Foreign Nationals In Separate Terror Attacks: Reports

Law enforcement officials in Germany and France arrested two Islamic foreign nationals in separate cases who are accused of carrying out terrorist attacks over the weekend in the respective countries. Approximately 200 police officers in France were searching for the individual who blew up two cars at a synagogue in La Grande-Motte on Saturday morning, tried to enter the building with a gun, and later set the building on fire — all while carrying a Palestinian flag. Local media said that police arrested a 33-year-old Algerian man who was suspected of carrying out the terrorist attack. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Witnesses described the suspect as “Arab-looking,” and they say that he shouted “Allahu Akbar” while stabbing nine people, killing three. Police said four of the six who survived remain in life-threatening condition. The suspect, a 26-year-old Syrian identified as “Issa Al H.” turned himself in to authorities and took credit for the attack, NBC News reported. Police said that he shares the same terroristic ideology as ISIS, which he reportedly joined before the attack. “Due to his radical Islamist beliefs, he decided to kill as many people as possible, who he considered to be non-believers, at the Solingen city festival on August 23, 2024,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. “There he stabbed festival visitors repeatedly and deliberately in the neck and upper body with a knife.” WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — A MATT WALSH COMEDY ON DEI ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack, saying: “The perpetrator of the attack on the Christian gathering in the city of Solingen, Germany, yesterday, was a soldier from the Islamic State, and he carried it out as revenge against Muslims in Palestine and everywhere.”

Unlikely Friends: Doorbell Camera Captures Bear & Coyotes Together Outside Home

A doorbell camera outside a home in California caught some pretty unusual footage of a bear and two coyotes lingering by the front entrance. It’s hard to tell from the clip whether these animals were buddies or simply happened to be in the same place at the same time. However, there didn’t seem to be any animosity between them. UPI tells us that the incident was recorded outside the home of Los Angeles resident Ryan Meinardus in the Tujunga neighborhood. In the clip, the bear walked up to the front door with one of the coyotes at their heels. Seemingly more timid, the third member of the trio remained further behind. Although the bear didn’t seem to mind the smaller creatures hanging around, the first coyote eventually chickened out and backed away. We’re not sure if they were afraid of the bigger animal, the human residence, or something else entirely. ABC7 shared Ryan’s clip on social media, adding that seeing wildlife in neighborhoods around that area wasn’t all that uncommon. However, it was unusual for coyotes and bears to be so close to each other. “Bears and coyotes are no strangers to Southern California’s foothill communities, but spotting them together is an uncommon sight,” the news outlet wrote in their caption. This encounter isn’t quite as unusual as you’d think. Screengrab from YouTube This isn’t the first time that bears and coyotes have been caught socializing in the wild. The Dodo reported a similar case in 2021. Apparently, a Florida trail camera managed to catch some footage of these two predators traveling through the woods together. Once again, the coyote was right behind the bear. In this case, though, neither creature got scared or ran off. We’ve definitely seen stranger animal friendships out there! AstroForge Announces Historic Asteroid Mining Mission for 2025

AstroForge Announces Historic Asteroid Mining Mission for 2025

AstroForge, an American company, has announced its plans to execute a groundbreaking mission in 2025 by landing on a near-Earth metal asteroid to test space mining technology. If successful, this mission could mark the first-ever attempt to extract valuable metals, such as platinum, from an asteroid. AstroForge’s mission involves launching the 200-kilogram Vestri probe next year, with the goal of landing it on an undisclosed near-Earth metal asteroid, reports space.com. This would represent the first time a private company has landed a spacecraft on an asteroid, making it a historic event in space exploration. The company, which focuses on mining precious metals from space, recently secured an additional $40 million in funding, bringing its total investment to $55 million. The Vestri probe aims to test technologies essential for extracting valuable metals from asteroids. If the mission succeeds, it could pave the way for the development of space mining operations. Notably, several American companies have previously explored the concept of extracting water from asteroids to produce hydrogen and oxygen, key components for rocket fuel. These technologies could eventually lead to the creation of space refueling stations, enabling longer space missions. However, such projects are currently on hold. AstroForge has already made strides in this field. Last year, the company launched the Brokkr-1 probe to demonstrate its technology for processing asteroid material and extracting valuable metals. Unfortunately, the mission did not meet its objectives. The real commencement of asteroid mining operations will likely depend on the success of the Vestri mission and subsequent launches. The timeline for commercial asteroid mining remains uncertain and hinges on the outcomes of these pioneering missions. In related news, Chinese scientists have recently developed an innovative method for producing pure gold with enhanced strength and lightness. This technique involves creating uniformly distributed small pores within solid metal, significantly improving gold’s strength without compromising its lightweight properties.
