SMELLS LIKE BULLSH*T: PhD Thesis Calls Sense of Smell 'Racist'

P.U! Something smells like bullsh*t! Oh wait, it’s just another prestigious university gone rotten and a self-congratulating “academic” who’s too enthralled by the smell of her own BS to recognize that nobody outside her Cambridge cocoon wants a whiff of her woke garbage.  Dr. Ally Louks, an instructor at Cambridge University who studies “Olfactory Ethics” recently took to the internet seeking praise for completing her PhD thesis.  Thrilled to say I passed my viva with no corrections and am officially PhDone. pic.twitter.com/4qwCyFYocX — Dr Ally Louks (@DrAllyLouks) November 27, 2024 “Thrilled to say I passed my viva with no corrections and am officially PhDone,” she bragged in the caption above a photo of herself holding the hardcopy.  Her thesis, titled “Olfactory Ethics: The Politics of Smell In Modern And Contemporary Prose” suggests our very sense of smell is rooted in oppression. Disliking the stench of street bums makes you…(you guessed it!) a RACIST! “The broad aim of this thesis is to offer an intersectional and wide-ranging study of olfactory oppression by establishing the underlying logics that facilitate smell’s application in creating and subverting gender, class, sexual, racial and species power structures,” reads Louks’s  abstract.  Since there is some confusion about the nature of my research, here is the abstract for my PhD thesis, which I hope will provide more context for anyone interested in learning more about my work! pic.twitter.com/eN9OsldQ2E — Dr Ally Louks (@DrAllyLouks) November 29, 2024 She cites “prose fiction from the modern and contemporary periods” in an attempt to prove how literature she deems problematic has maintained a “legacy of olfactory prejudice.”  In Chapter One, she takes a jab at George Orwell among other authors to “explore how smell can be used to indicate class antipathies, partly as they relate to homelessness.” Chapter Two implies our desire for our surroundings to smell better reflects “fantastical, idealistic, and utopic thinking.” The third chapter generalizes black women, specifically, in order to prove that our noses are racist. (Smells like projection!) “Chapter Three focuses on the intersectional olfactory dimensions of 'misogynoir'-the coextensive anti-Black racism and misogyny that Black women experience,” Louks writes.  If you think it can’t get worse, brace yourselves! Chapter Four concocts the phrase, “oppressive olfactory logic” to somehow tie the preferences of our noses with “harassment or abuse.” Chapter Five says the smell is… queer! (Had to squeeze the Rainbow people in there somewhere.) So the next time you pass gas in public, don’t be embarrassed! Just claim you’re decolonizing the air we breathe. If anyone objects to the lovely smell, send them straight to the woke gulag!

Politico Upset that Biden Pardon Will Undermine Opposition to Trump Appointments

Politico Upset that Biden Pardon Will Undermine Opposition to Trump Appointments

The head of news at Politico, Alexander Burns, is upset over Joe Biden's blanket pardon for his son Hunter. Forget Hunter's crimes. Burns is irked is because the Biden pardon now makes it much more difficult to oppose President-Elect Donald Trump's appointments on moral and legal grounds because of the sleazy pardon. A situation which Burns whined about in his story on Monday, "Joe Biden’s Parting Insult." Before you even get to the body of the text, the subtitle keys the reader in to what Burns finds to be his reason as to what really disturbs him about the pardon: "The president delivered a vote of no confidence in a justice system preparing for siege." President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter almost looks like a fiendish prank on Washington — a Sunday night ambush designed to embarrass and shock. That was presumably not Biden’s aim. But however unintentionally, the pardon is a kind of sabotage. It is a rich gift to those who want to blow up the justice system as we know it, and who claim the government is a self-dealing club for hypocritical elites. It is a promise-breaking act that subjects Biden’s allies to yet another humiliation in a year packed with Biden-inflicted injuries. The decision comes at a moment when the capital is girding for an assault on federal law enforcement institutions led by President-elect Donald Trump and his appointees. "An assault on the federal law enforcement institutions" -- which translates into reforming a politically weaponized federal justice system. Burns then expresses his frustration that just at the moment there could have been an effective opposition to Trump's appointees, Biden had to ruin everything with his pardon of son Hunter on Sunday night. In recent days, Trump has named ideological hardliners, political operatives and family retainers to powerful jobs atop the FBI, the Justice Department and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The incoming president’s opponents have begun to make the case against these appointments, describing the country’s institutions of justice as sacrosanct — and warning that Trump loyalists like Kash Patel and Tulsi Gabbard would ransack them. It is hard to reconcile this reverence for the machinery of law enforcement with Biden’s decision to exempt his son from the justice they have delivered. Of course, this whole pardon problem for Burns really boils down to his intense hatred for Trump which is shared by many/most at Politico: Now, Biden is exiting a presidency that he insisted was about saving democracy by delivering an ostentatious vote of no confidence in the institutions that his successor most obviously intends to attack. Ugh! Joe's no good because he helped Orange Man Bad.

Denver mayor vows to blockade mass deportations. Will he go to jail?

The answer to that question is yes, Mike Johnston will likely go to jail if he opposes the Trump administration’s mass deportation plans. But it looks as if Johnston is okay with that. In a recent article, Blaze Media national correspondent Julio Rosas outlined Johnston’s plans to resist mass deportations, even if it means he winds up behind bars. “I’m not afraid of that,” he said when asked about potential incarceration. Now, Rosas joins Jill Savage on “Blaze News Tonight” to shed light on how far-left Democrats plan to buck the will of the people when it comes to illegal immigration. Rosas says that Democrats may act shocked and horrified about mass deportations, but they should know that this is what happens when an administration opens the borders for years, creating a border crisis. From financial strain to human trafficking and immigrant gangs, mass deportations are the only logical solution, but still, Democrats plan to protect those who broke the law to be here at the expense of their own citizens. It’s this very mentality that caused deep blue cities to shift toward Trump during the election. And that shift from blue to red might increase when they see their leaders continue down the same path of making Americans second-class citizens behind illegal immigrants. “If they want to continue doing this, that's fine, but they're going to continue to do it at their own peril in the next upcoming elections,” says Rosas. However, a different kind of peril awaits them in the meantime, and his name is Tom Homan. “[Homan] just announced states refusing to follow the federal mass deportation plan could lose federal funding. Do you think that that's going to happen? Do you think these states are going to go toe-to-toe and fight the feds on this?” Blaze News editor in chief Matthew Peterson asks. The answer to that is possibly. Johnston did threaten to deploy local law enforcement to the county line to stop the feds from carrying out mass deportations in the Denver area. If he proves good on these words, he’s going to come face to face with Homan, who Rosas says is “a very serious individual.” “As someone who knows Tom, he's been chomping at the bit for this for many years now,” he tells Jill and Peterson. “If Democrat leaders and cities want to actually take that extra step and obstruct them … from doing [mass deportations], you're doing it to someone who's Tom Homan, and that's someone that I would take very, very seriously.” To hear more of the conversation, watch the clip above. Theo Von explains why he is no longer a Bernie-loving Democrat: 'There's certainly an attack on white males'

Comedian and podcaster Theo Von explained why he went from identifying as a Democrat and supporting a socialist senator to being sympathetic to President-elect Donald Trump. Von was speaking to Prof. Scott Galloway on the comedian's podcast when he made the comments about his place in the political environment. The 44-year-old said he had been a supporter of socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). 'I definitely see it as a lot of people feel embarrassed to be white, you know, and that's a shame because you didn't choose to be white.' "You look at [Joe] Rogan used to be a Democrat. He was a leftist. I'm a Bernie fan. It's like these people f***in' alienated my heroes in the Democratic Party. It's gotten, like, very bizarre," said Von. "I mean the political part of it is very bizarre to me," he added. "But there is a lot about what you're saying. A man wants to feel like it's okay to be a man, and sometimes you leave the house like: 'Is it okay to be a man? Do I have to check my d*** at the door of this restaurant or whatever?' It feels like that sometimes, you know, and it's not how somebody should feel. I think it's great that we're talking about this." Trump appeared on Von's show just ahead of the election, and many believe the campaign's focus on alternative media outlets helped lead to his stunning victory. Elsewhere in the podcast, Von also talked about the shaming of white males in society. "There's certainly an attack on white males, it feels like. And then if you're white, ... you can't be like, 'Hey, can we do a white help group?' Because suddenly you're racist. There's definitely this shaming of being in white skin," Von said. "We're constantly doing that, reliving the past or refocusing on the past and using it as a scope to aim at the present, you know, and it's not very fair," he added. "I definitely see it as a lot of people feel embarrassed to be white, you know, and that's a shame because you didn't choose to be white. And a lot of white people didn't have s***, dude. You know what I'm saying?" The entirety of the interview with Galloway can be viewed on Von's page on YouTube. Like Blaze News? Delta Force opens up extra servers just in time for the FPS game’s launch

It’s almost time for Delta Force’s highly-anticipated open beta to arrive. With no end date set, this is basically an early access period for the tactical shooter, which currently sits in the top five most wishlisted games on Steam. That’s an indicator of just how much hype there is for this FPS, which takes the fight to games like Escape From Tarkov with its Operations extraction mode and Battlefield with its large-scale Warfare mode. There’s potential for a huge number of players to jump in on launch day, so Delta Force has spun up some new servers to help cope with the strain.
