‘My Unfair Lady’ premieres in Chicago

Many pundits and social media wags point out that Kamala Harris sticks closely to a script during her rallies. Her surprise appearance at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Monday night was no different. They also note that she avoids one-on-one interviews, which could lead to off-the-cuff questions that might reveal more about her character and her policies. So what’s up with Harris and her campaign? And why, before now, hasn’t she been visible for weeks and weeks after she was bequeathed the Democratic Party’s nomination for president? Kamala has gone from a cackling-Cockney Eliza Doolittle to a shining star receiving kudos from coast to coast. Could it be that the powers that be in the Democratic Party decided they needed to temporarily hide away this modern-day Pygmalion subject and take time to turn her into a polished example of wit and sophistication? Is the “script” right out of the Broadway and movie musical, “My Fair Lady,” based on George Bernard Shaw’s play? To me it seems obvious, but I had to know for sure. So please forgive me, but by applying a little nefarious initiative, I was able to find out what truly has been going on. Using a toothpick and an unbent paper clip (a la MacGyver) I was able to hack into the DNC's computer system. And sure enough, there it was: the script! Complete with musical numbers, costuming, stage directions — everything! I soon found myself humming along with this poorly crafted little ditty: The blame In the main Stays mainly On the lame (And the “lame” are, needless to say, MAGA and Trump supporters.) The script has detailed instructions on how to take Kamala’s annoying cackle and, with much practice, turn it into a joyful smile (“joy” being the key lesson here). Kamala has gone from a cackling-Cockney Eliza Doolittle to a shining star receiving kudos from coast to coast. The number-one lesson I found in the script was that Kamala — who chose for a running mate Tim Walz (talk about a musical name!) to play a dusted-off Professor Henry Higgins — was to stick to the script! And to ensure a big, boffo, hit production, the script has been circulated in advance to the “critics” in the mainstream media and those working in the wings and behind the curtains in the Democratic establishment, deep state, and all far-left institutions. Well, unfortunately, the performance, such as it is, continues to play out. We’ll see its world premiere on stage at the United Center in Chicago on Thursday night. But will it be a big enough hit to remain on stage through November 5? Will people accept this new Doolittle, understudy to Joe Biden, or realize that she is still the same old Do Nothing, with or without the former star of the show? Let’s hope that “With a Little Bit of (Bad) Luck,” the production closes quickly. Given all the lies flooding this new script, “My Unfair Lady” might be a more fitting title for this revival. The sooner the curtain comes down on this pilfered and twisted script, the better. Editor’s note: A version of this article appeared originally at American Thinker.

Bill Clinton appears frail during DNC speech with raspy voice, trembling hands

Democrat former President Bill Clinton showed his age during his DNC speech on Wednesday night, with shaky hands and voice, as he tried to make the case that Kamala Harris should ascend to the most powerful office in the land.Clinton touched on several topics during his nearly 30-minute speech, discussing Joe Biden's alleged legacy, Harris' former job at McDonald's, and American democracy. But he also made repeated references to his advanced age."Let’s cut to the chase; I am too old to gild the lily," he quipped at one point.'Bill Clinton says he just turned 78. He looks like he is about to keel over. Donald Trump turned 78 on June 14, 2024. Just under one month later he was shot in the head and did this: They are not the same.'"I want to say this from the bottom of my heart, I have no idea how many more of these I’ll be able to come to," he added moments later. "I started in ’76, and I’ve been every one since — no, ’72. Lord, I’m getting old."Despite the self-deprecating humor, Clinton also prided himself that he is "still younger than Donald Trump." Clinton turned 78 earlier this week. Trump turned 78 in June.Clinton then commented on the youth and vigor of the next generation of Democrats. "They look better, they sound better, and they'll be exciting," he insisted.Kamala Harris, whose name Clinton repeatedly mispronounced, turns 60 in October. Her running mate, Tim Walz, turned 60 in April.Viewers also remarked upon Clinton's frail-looking physical appearance, noting tremors in his hands and his diminished voice."What tomb did they drag Clinton out of? He barely has a voice for gods sake," said one user, according to the Daily Mail."Is Bill Clinton's voice going to last through the speech? He could turn this convention into a super spreader," joked another.Still others indicated that even though Clinton looks and sounds more feeble than in years past, he is still a charming orator. "Bill Clinton is hoarse and speaks slowly and his hands shake but as a speaker he’s still unmatched. If you look close you can see when he goes to the script and when he rewrites it on the fly. Talks like he’s in your living room. The master," said one popular X post.Politico also praised Clinton for mustering a rousing speech that routinely attacked Trump with "relish." "A slower, wizened Clinton sinks his fangs into Trump," read the headline."On Wednesday, the Big Dog, a little older and his bark more faint, sunk his teeth into another favorite topic and savaged Donald Trump as a narcissist obsessed with himself," wrote Christopher Cadelago, Politico's California bureau chief.Yet another popular X user — Shawn Farash, best known for his comical impersonations of Trump — took the opportunity to compare Clinton and Trump in a way more favorable to the 45th president rather than the 42nd, pointing to the iconic photo of a bloodied Trump raising his fist as an American flag billowed overhead to demonstrate Trump's vigor."Bill Clinton says he just turned 78. He looks like he is about to keel over. Donald Trump turned 78 on June 14, 2024. Just under one month later he was shot in the head and did this: They are not the same."Like Blaze News? Harley-Davidson went WOKE — it’s up to us stop other American icons from doing the same

If there’s one company you’d expect to be exploding with hardcore American values, it’s the famed, American made, tough guy motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson. Which is why Glenn Beck was absolutely shocked when filmmaker Robby Starbuck exposed Harley-Davidson, among others, for DEI-related policies that flew directly in the face of what being an American means. “There used to be a time when we took pride in the maintenance of America, the maintenance of American heritage,” Glenn says. “It’s exactly what it was: American heritage. American brands like John Deere, Tractor Supply, Ford, Chevrolet, Indian, and Harley-Davidson.” “We protected their legacy. We worked on their products in the fields, in our home, garages,” he continues, adding, “There was no agenda here outside of pure American greatness.” Now, these companies are being infiltrated by people who “get their marching orders from people like Larry Fink at Black Rock” — which becomes obvious when you see what they’ve been supporting. Harley-Davidson not only got behind the “equality act,” which would allow men into girls bathrooms, sports, and locker rooms, but the company funded an all-ages Pride event that featured a rage room next to the drag queen story time. In addition, 1800 employees had to finish a virtual training on how to become LGBTQ+ allies, and the CEO signed the CEO action for diversity and inclusion pledge — making February and March “months of inclusion.” White male employees were sent to a white male-only diversity training program, and the company itself is attempting to lower the number of white suppliers and employees it has. While the company has apologized and is now walking back its leftist agenda, Glenn believes it's up to Americans to remind these companies of why they’re here and what they stand for. “Do yourself a favor, do your country a favor. Reconnect your children to the basics of what American products are, what made them so great, why 'American Made' is more than just a slogan,” Glenn says. “It represents the weary men and women working in factories, in small towns, all across middle America, who are trying to give their kids a better life,” he continues. “Teach your kids that getting their hands dirty is a good thing, something fought, bled, and sweat for has meaningful value.” “And that’s who we are as Americans. It benefits the family. It supports the community. It spreads that beloved American brand all over the country and the world. That connection goes all the way to the top of the corporate boardroom, that connection that you have, that power that that spirit creates, that’s what globalists fear most.” Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling, thought-provoking analysis, and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

You can basically get the entire Resident Evil series for $30

The future of Resident Evil, Capcom’s defining survival horror series, is unclear right now. The next game could be a full RE9, the long-rumored Code Veronica remake, or maybe, as a curveball, a new version of the oft-forgotten Resident Evil Zero. Whatever’s coming up, even if you’re a longtime RE devout, there’s a chance some of the lesser-known games have escaped your attention. Otherwise, you might be a newcomer, eager to give Resident Evil a try, but unsure where to start. Either way, the new Resident Evil Humble Bundle is pretty irresistible - 11 RE games, spanning almost the entire series, for $30. That’s $295 worth of games for less than the price of one. FF14 director Naoki Yoshida doesn’t like Dawntrail’s best character

Of all the many pieces of FF14 Dawntrail, one of its most universally beloved parts is The Arcadion raid series. It takes perhaps the strongest element of the new Final Fantasy expansion - its combat content - and builds on it with a series of bold, dramatic characters reminiscent of pro wrestling, each with their own distinctive personality and a theme song to match. Given the chance to sit down with game director and producer Naoki Yoshida at Gamescom, then, I had to ask the most important question: which of the fighters is his favorite? Lost in Random The Eternal Die is a roguelike spin on the fantasy game

The original Lost in Random is one of those real indie game delights that caught me off-guard with just how much I enjoyed it. Part of the EA Originals scheme, it tells a sinister tale set in a stunning fantasy world where everyone’s fates fall to the roll of sentient magical dice. News that Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is bringing us back to see where things go next, and that it’s further mixing things up with a roguelike spin, has me very eager to learn more.
