Sununu, who has at times been critical of the former president, made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” when asked about the current state of the election. “The message is very clear. If you stick to the issues, if you stick to what matters, this should be an easy race for Donald Trump,” he said. “It really should. The delta that you’re seeing right now is, Trump does better with males by about 10 points. But where this giant shift in August has come is with the female voter. Frank Luntz pointed this out in his polling. He’s down 10, 12 points at least, with females. Harris spoke during a stop on a multi-city bus tour in the battleground state of Pennsylvania along with her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and their spouses. “Our election is about understanding the importance of this beautiful country of ours in terms of what we stand for around the globe as a democracy,” Harris said. “As a democracy,” she repeated, “we know there’s a duality to the nature of democracy. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said during an interview over the weekend that “the spirit” of giving free handouts to illegal aliens should absolutely be part of Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris’ agenda if she becomes president. Whitmer made the remarks during a Sunday interview on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” while discussing some of the extreme things that Harris’ vice presidential running mate Tim Walz has provided to illegal aliens in the state of Minnesota where he serves as governor. Left-wing host Kristen Welker noted that Walz has given illegal aliens driver’s licenses, the ability to qualify for free tuition at public universities, and the ability to enroll in the state’s free health care program. “Would you like to see the Harris administration adopt those same policies, Governor?” she asked. “Well, I could tell you, you know, Tim Walz is a pragmatic guy,” Whitmer responded. “He’s a Midwesterner just like me. The Democratic National Convention opens in Chicago on Monday, giving Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz an opportunity to present their vision for America. But don’t be fooled by the Democrats’ glitzy gala, says John Tillman, CEO of the American Culture Project and chairman of the Illinois Policy Institute. He offered a preview of what to expect on “The Daily Signal Podcast.” “We’re going to see one of the greatest propaganda extravaganzas in the history of politics. It will make Hollywood look like amateurs in comparison,” Tillman tells The Daily Signal. “We’ve already had a preview of this propaganda effort by the Harris campaign since she became the nominee,” he added. “And what they’re going to try to paper over in Chicago is the policy results from radical, liberal, progressive Democrats who really want to take the country in perhaps even a communist or Marxist direction.” From his vantage point in Illinois, Tillman has had an up-close view of the destructive policies pursued by the city’s progressive Democrats—led by Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson—and the devastating consequences that have resulted for residents who live there. “A city government—and even a state government or a federal government—has to do three things,” Tillman explains. “It has to provide security, has to give educational opportunities to children, and has to provide economic opportunity for all people. The city of Chicago is failing in all three of those, and that’s what’s coming to America should they get control of our federal government.
