Jess Hause and Megan Schultz surely never imagined the connection they would one day share when they were two sorority sisters going through college together. However, God knew exactly what would come to pass years after the two young ladies became friends. As the years pass, old friends become busy and lose contact. Friends Jess and Megan had been out of touch for over ten years when they were reunited in June 2024-a result of Megan's desire to help Jen during a life-threatening medical crisis. Doctors first noticed that Jess's kidney function was low when she was hospitalized for shingles, but after losing her job and health insurance in April 2023, Jess had stopped regularly seeing her doctor. When frightening symptoms developed, Jess went to the emergency room in September, and tests revealed that she was experiencing total kidney failure. Jess shared with the British news media outlet SWNS, "I noticed from my knees down I started getting numb and tingling." Now, Jess undergoes 3.5 hours of dialysis three times each week, but she knew nothing about her disease when she was diagnosed ten months ago. "It was absolutely terrifying. I didn't even know what kidney failure was," shared Jess. Jess said, "I started making reels [on Instagram] of my day-to-day life. It just so happened my sorority sister Megan saw it. God puts people in our lives for a reason." Jess was amazed at the number of people who offered to be tested as potential kidney donors, and she was equally surprised when Megan FaceTimed her not long after. Megan gave her incredible news. Jess expected Megan to tell her that she was not a match; instead, Megan informed Jess that she was a match and a willing donor! Megan's willingness to help her former sorority sister left Jess "speechless." The Two Friends Met Up As for Megan, she was thrilled to find out she was a match and would be able to help Jess. She "just started crying" and experienced "immediate excitement" upon learning that she could offer Jess a kidney. Former President Donald Trump said on Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris was attempting to con the American public by shifting her positions on border security and copying his proposal to remove taxes on tips. Harris made headlines over the weekend after she said she would eliminate taxes on tips if elected president at a rally in Las Vegas, a policy first proposed by Trump two months ago.  “Kamala Harris has flip-flopped on virtually every policy she has supported and lived by for her entire career, from the Border to Tips, and the Fake News Media isn’t reporting it,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Monday. “She sounds more like Trump than Trump, copying almost everything. She is conning the American public, and will flip right back. I will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! As President, Harris will completely DESTROY OUR COUNTRY!” Republicans have pushed back, pointing to the record number of illegal immigrants who have entered the country during the Biden-Harris administration and her reported role as Biden’s “border czar.” Trump currently maintains a narrow lead in five of the seven key battleground polls, according to the most recent average of polling.
