We’ve heard plenty of airplane horror stories as of late, with a good chunk of those having to do with screaming babies and kids acting out. It’s enough to make anyone finding out they’re traveling next to a kid tense up a bit. Luckily, this “kid on a plane” story is nothing like that. Back in June, realtor Samantha Purnell found herself on a flight sitting next to Jazzy, a 10 year old girl flying alone. What could have been two awkward hours of silence (or worse) instead became the most wholesome friendship ever, and it was all caught on video. In a now-viral TikTok clip, we see that the pair watched “The Parent Trap,” “played Sephora” (meaning Purnell let Jazzy peruse her makeup stash), and shared a snack of hard boiled eggs—that last part because Jazzy "wouldn't take 'no' for an answer." There was even a sweet moment when Jazzy called herself “ugly” and Purnell stepped into giving sisterly advice without missing a beat. “Don’t you ever say that! You’re stunning. Don’t ever, ever, ever, ever say that to yourself,” she told her new bestie. The clip even made its way to Jazzy’s aunt, who wrote, “This is my niece and HER mom and I are very grateful for you! Jazzy was nervous to fly and you truly helped her so much!! Thanks for being there and being such an angel!! ?????”But wait, there’s more! Purnell conspired with Jazzy’s mom to make a surprise reunion happen. Jazzy was told she’d be going on a fishing trip with her day, when in reality Purnell was going to scoop her up to spend the entire day together. How sweet is that?!?!? In that video, Jazzy screams with delight, saying “I’m so happy!” while tears flow. The girl’s day then consisted of a Starbucks trip, more Sephora makeup (obviously), dancing, and fashionista fit check. There’s more to do in the rolling Black Hills than you can shake a dozen sticks at. There are demo rides from every manufacturer, every product on the planet is represented, racing everywhere, parties, 50 concerts, the girls, the custom motorcycle shows, the rides in the region are magnificent, Hillclimbs, the brotherhood, the freedom fighters, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and every year the Buffalo Chip extravaganza. Of course, what did the Bikernet crew do? They bought a building right on Main Street in downtown Sturgis and called it Bandit’s 5-Ball Emporium. Then all hell broke loose. We invited Danial James the accomplished artist and creator to display his Art. He has helped Scott Jacobs and his family for over 20 years. Before that he was David Uhl’s partner for 27 years. Throughout this week we learned so much. Danial James created the Scott Jacob’s logo and David Uhl’s Logo. Well, he’s going to create the Friends of the Museum Logo. KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation bust has led to more than a dozen people being charged for operating a drug trafficking ring in Knox County, according to TBI Director David Rausch. It all has to do with an investigation that began in December of last year into Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, Rausch said. He spoke on the TBI’s latest efforts Thursday, giving a heated description of the motorcycle gang. “They try to downplay their behavior by calling themselves a club,” Rausch said. “They are nothing more than a criminal organization made up of cowards and thugs.” Past reporting from WVLT shows that Pagan’s Motorcycle Club has a history of crime in the Knoxville area. In 2022, Knoxville police investigated a shooting between members of Pagan’s and another gang. State law enforcement agencies carried out a monthslong methamphetamine investigation that has resulted in 15 indictments, including two people tied to the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, according to a Thursday release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. According to the release, special agents in TBI’s Drug Investigation Division and agents with the 5th Judicial District Drug Task Force in December began investigating the sale of large quantities of methamphetamine in Knox County and surrounding areas. Along the way, agents developed information that Richard Carroll Baker, 45, of Knoxville, a member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, was leading the distribution efforts. The release said another club member, Brian Batson Fox, 58, of Dandridge, and numerous other individuals assisted Baker in distributing illegal narcotics throughout East Tennessee.  Baker was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to sell, deliver, or manufacture 300 grams or more of methamphetamine and three counts of sale/delivery of 26 grams or more of methamphetamine. Fox was charged with intent to sell, deliver, or manufacture 300 grams or more of methamphetamine.
