Vance Fires Back At CNN For Questioning His Military Service

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), former President Donald Trump‘s running mate, fired back at CNN in response to one of its anchors questioning his service in the U.S. Marine Corps. CNN’s Brianna Keilar said on Thursday that Vance may be an “imperfect messenger” to knock Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who this week joined Vice President Kamala Harris‘s 2024 ticket, over his military record. The critique focused on how Vance served as a combat correspondent during the Iraq War, which Keiler suggested gave the false impression that he saw combat. “Brianna this is disgusting, and you and your entire network should be ashamed of yourselves,” Vance said on X. “When I got the call to go to Iraq, I went. Tim Walz said he carried a gun in a war. Did he? No. It was a lie.” Brianna this is disgusting, and you and your entire network should be ashamed of yourselves. When I got the call to go to Iraq, I went. Tim Walz said he carried a gun in a war. Did he? No. It was a lie. https://t.co/kt0oxzZb83 — JD Vance (@JDVance) August 8, 2024 He was responding to a clip posted by the “Trump War Room,” which told Keilar, “the difference is that [Vance] never lied about his rank or his service, and when his unit deployed to Iraq, he didn’t abandon them.” Walz spent more than two decades in the Army National Guard. He had been deployed as part of Operation Enduring Freedom after the Sep. 11 attacks, but not in a combat zone, according to The New York Times. WATCH BEN SHAPIRO’S ‘SCAMALA: KAMALA HARRIS UNMASKED’ ON DAILYWIRE+ CBS News reported that Walz retired in 2005 and ran for Congress prior to his artillery unit being ordered to Iraq. A video of Walz, which Harris’ presidential campaign shared on social media this week, showed him claiming that he carried weapons “in war.” Gov. @Tim_Walz: I spent 25 years in the Army and I hunt. I’ve been voting for common sense legislation that protects the Second Amendment, but we can do background checks. We can research the impacts of gun violence. We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war,… pic.twitter.com/3IVaXi2RP2 — Kamala HQ (@KamalaHQ) August 6, 2024 However, CNN’s own Tom Foreman reported on Wednesday how there was “no evidence” that Walz was ever in a position of “being shot at” as the governor had suggested. Amid the controversy over Walz’s service record, POLITICO reported on Thursday that Harris’ campaign revised a biography about her running mate. Whereas it had described Walz as a “retired command sergeant major,” the description was changed to say he once served at the command sergeant major rank. The first Green Beret to serve in Congress, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL), explained how Walz got promoted to sergeant major, but did not complete sergeant major’s academy and was “demoted” to master sergeant. During an appearance in Michigan on Wednesday, Vance slammed Walz over “stolen valor garbage.” He also said, “I would be ashamed if I was him and I lied about my military service like he did.”

Illegal Immigrant Charged In Alabama Shooting

Illegal Immigrant Charged In Alabama Shooting

An illegal immigrant was just charged in a shooting in Alabama as the country endures an unprecedented illegal immigration crisis. Mexican national and illegal immigrant Alberto Martinez-Fidel was charged in the non-lethal shooting of a man in Montgomery, Alabama. Martinez-Fidel was charged with first-degree assault after allegedly repeatedly shooting a man with a handgun at close range, wounding him after striking the alleged victim in the back and buttocks. Martinez-Fidel’s bond was set at $30,000. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed in a statement that Martinez-Fidel is a Mexican national who is illegally present in the United States. “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations filed a detainer on Alberto Martinez-Fidel, 46, an unlawfully present Mexican national Aug. 5, 2024, after his arrest by the Montgomery Police Department. ICE does not have any previous immigration information on this individual,” ICE explained in a statement. WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — A MATT WALSH COMEDY ON DEI The arrest of Martinez-Fidel comes as the United States has experienced a wave of illegal immigrant crime. Concerns about these crimes reached a fever pitch earlier this year after the tragic death of Laken Riley, a Georgia nursing student who was allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrant named Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan national. There is also the case of Joceyln Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl from Houston, Texas who was allegedly murdered by two illegal immigrants who entered the United States under the Biden-Harris administration. A Honduran illegal immigrant was also charged in connection to the murder of Kristie Thibodeaux, a tour guide in the French Quarter of New Orleans. One El Salvadoran illegal alien and MS-13 member who was wanted for murder was recently arrested in South Carolina shortly after an illegal immigrant from Guatemala was charged with sexual battery after allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl. The various arrests come as two other illegal immigrant murder suspects who were wanted by the international police were recently apprehended in Texas by the Splendora Police Department, which worked in conjunction with federal authorities. The two illegal immigrants both lived in Colony Ridge, a massive land development north of Houston that has become infamous for tailoring its financial and marketing practices to attract illegal immigrants. Texas authorities arrested another illegal immigrant this year after he allegedly killed two people inside a Chick-fil-A restaurant. More than 10 million people have crossed the border during the Biden-Harris administration, with an estimated 1.7 million illegal immigrant gotaways recorded. There were 415,000 total reported gotaways for 2018, 2019, and 2020 under the Trump administration. Public opinion polling has found that voters support many of Trump’s key campaign promises on illegal immigration, including increasing deportations, building the border wall, and penalizing businesses that hire illegal immigrants instead of Americans.

Two-Year-Old Wrestler Shows Absolute Determination In Adorable Video

Wrestling can be intimidating for many adults, but apparently not for this adorable toddler. His mother posted a TikTok of him as he walked out onto the wrestling mat with the utmost confidence. Look at the precious little footsteps as this wrestler toddler claimed the mat as his own. @ciaraweese TURN SOUND UP!! It’s Walker Weese’s world… we are just living in it! #wrestletok #wrestler #toddlerlife #walkerweese ♬ original sound – The Weese Family This Tiny Wrestler Stole Hearts The video starts with the wrestler toddler walking confidently onto the mat. The note written over the video reads, “When your two-year-old is a legend. Wait for it…” The “wait for it” builds suspense for the viewers as they continue to watch this little man completely own his stride. This wrestling toddler was so ready for his match that he walked out even before his match was called. You can hear his loved ones calling his name. One of his loved ones shouts, “Come here! Walker!” However, little Walker pays her no mind; he is on a mission. The announcer then declares, “On mat one Isabella Lannis vs Walker Wesse.” Walker heard his name and held up a number one with all the self-assurance of a pro wrestler. Whether it was to acknowledge that he heard the announcer say his match was on mat one or to show that he would be number one, the world may never know. He then leans forward to gather his equipment and get his head further in the game. The video is captioned, “It’s Walker Weese’s world. We are just living in it.” I think the fans would agree. Comments on the video showed that viewers thoroughly enjoyed this wrestling toddler’s cuteness.  One comment from Dalton Bradshaw read, “You should see if you can play music and play bad to the bone when he walks out.” Anthony Batterham added, “He’s on straight business.” With 9.9 million plays, it is clear to see that Walker Weese truly is the king of the world. Or at least King of the Wrestling Mat and TikTok. The source of the featured image can be found here. Camera Catches The Wholesome Moment A Father Consoles His Olympian Daughter After Losing Her Chance To Medal

The Olympics have captivated many of us for the better part of two weeks. While we love to see our favorites win, it’s hard not to be heartbroken for the others. Every athlete at the Olympics is considered to be among the best in the world. Being there is certainly an honor. Winning is the icing on the cake, and while we are sure all Olympians know that it doesn’t make a loss any easier in their hearts. British diver Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and her father, Fred Sirieix, shared a touching moment after the 19-year-old came in sixth in the individual final on August 6. The teenager did not earn a medal, but her father was incredibly proud. The moment a father consoles daughter after missing out on olympics medal pic.twitter.com/kSHd4AIH4Z— Science girl (@gunsnrosesgirl3) August 8, 2024 Fred comforted his visibly shaken and tearful daughter. He told her that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but her performance was impactful in ways she may not understand. He shared social media messages with his girl from strangers praising her performance. Some felt inspired by the teen, who earned a bronze medal in the synchronized 10-meter platform with Lois Toulson last week. Fred encouraged her to keep going, “You did your best, Andrea,” he said. And she replied, “It just wasn’t meant to be.” Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix Has Struggled With Mental Health Issues In The Past Andrea told The Guardian that when she was 16, she didn’t even want to live. Now, her life has changed in beautiful ways. “I’ve got breath. I’ve got food on the table. I’ve got water in my cup, and I’ve got a roof over my head. So, you know, sometimes the Olympic medal isn’t everything. We’ve got other things, so we really should be more thankful and those are the things that we unfortunately take for granted. I feel like there’s a lot of struggles there. Everyone doesn’t see, and we push through silently,” she said. Her supportive and loving parents definitely earned gold.   You can find the source of this story’s featured image here.
