Ever since Jason Kelce announced his retirement, he’s had lots of unexpected fun, like meeting British royalty. Now, with the Olympics in full swing, this sports legend can be found in the stands, supporting fellow athletes. But that isn’t to say that Kelce isn’t finding ways to stay competitive. In fact, he recently had the opportunity to arm wrestle an Olympic athlete — and you know that’s an opportunity Jason Kelce is going to take! This friendly game took place after the U.S. women’s rugby team won their game against Brazil. One of their star players, Nicole Heavirland, chose to celebrate by challenging Kelce to a match. Both athletes are incredibly strong, making this an arm wrestling match for the ages. Watch it for yourself in the video below! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nicole Heavirland (@nicole406heavirland) “Holding on to that table a little bit?” Heavirland playfully points out in the caption of her video, prompting Kelce to reply, “Holding onto something with your off hand is completely within the rules of the International federation of Arm Wrestling.” Nicole Heavirland Challenges Jason Kelce to an Arm Wrestle Match — And Nearly Wins Although Heavirland lost this battle, it’s clear she and the team appreciate the support of Kelce and his wife, Kylie. In fact, Heavirland suggested that Kelce be the rugby team’s hype man, similar to what Flavor Flav is for the U.S. women’s water polo team… but without the official contract and all the benefits that comes with it. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ilona Maher (@ilonamaher) Kelce, who was already a massive fan, was happy to say “yes.” That said, we can expect to see him and Kylie supporting many U.S. teams during the course of the Paris Olympics. We love to see athletes supporting each other! “When we found out that we were going to have an opportunity to go [to the Olympics], the more we thought about it, we were like, ‘Let’s take advantage of it now that we can actually do it,'” Kelce shares. “We love sports, we love competition, we love world events.” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here! Each year, the strongest people from all around the world join together for the competition of World’s Strongest Man (WSM). Over the course of days, you’ll find these impressive athletes compete in some of the toughest challenges. This includes lifting absurdly heavy weights, pulling vehicles, and carrying large objects over long distances. If there’s a way to show off how insanely strong someone can be, odds are, they do it at WSM! But have you ever heard of a strongman being a ballroom dancer? The WSM share all sorts of fun clips on social media, giving viewers a peak into their competitions. As you can image, their content can be quite shocking. But one video in particular is surprising for a unique reason. Rather than showcasing the kind of skills you’d expect at WSM, a competitor named Rosco chose to showoff a different side… watch for yourself in the video below. @theworldsstrongestman Rosco’s got the moves #worldsstrongestman #strongman #wsm #theworldsstrongestman #strongmancompetition #strengthcompetition #weightlifting #ballroomdancing #dance #dancer #waltz #latindancing ♬ original sound – World’s Strongest Man That’s right — in addition to being a professional strongman, Rosco is also a ballroom dancer! Well, he used to be, anyway. But no matter how much time has passed since he’d regularly wear dancing shoes, it’s clear that he’s still got moves! Strongman Surprises and Delights With Reveal That He Used to be a Ballroom Dancer If you’re a dancer yourself, you might not be so surprised by this reveal. Strength, while different from the kind shown in WSM, is a key component in dancing. In fact, strength training is said to greatly benefit dancers. With that in mind, it seems that, in some ways, Rosco’s dancing days helped prepare him for WSM! “I don’t think people realize how in shape you have to be to do ballroom dancing. The core strength you have to have is insane,” someone points out in the comments, with another adding, “Find you a man that can do both.” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here!
