Dr. Anthony Fauci recently published a new paper that touched on both HIV/AIDs and the COVID-19 pandemic — and in it, he not only doubled down on his insistence that COVID had a natural origin but also claimed that President-elect Donald Trump had suggested “bleach injection” as a possible treatment. Fauci’s new paper comes just as Trump has named Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, one of Fauci’s leading critics, to head the National Institutes of Health in the incoming administration. Bhattacharya was one of the authors of the Great Barrington Declaration, published in 2020, and voiced opposition to the widespread lockdowns and closures during the pandemic. He told Fox News in 2023 that both Fauci and then-NIH Director Francis Collins had “created an illusion of scientific consensus around their ideas and marginalized anyone that disagreed with them even though there wasn’t a scientific consensus.
