House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) said on Sunday that President Joe Biden is intentionally withholding weapons shipments from Israel so that he can have leverage over the country. McCaul made the remarks during an appearance on CBS News’s “Face The Nation” while talking about Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to the U.S. last week. “What have you been told about his request to have more shipments of weapons delivered on a fast-track basis?” the show’s guest host asked. “I sign off on all foreign military sales,” McCaul said. “And I sign off on all the ones that have gone to Israel and also to Ukraine and Taiwan. And so the fact is, though, that these shipments have been delayed intentionally. The four corners, that being the chair and ranking member of House Foreign Affairs and Senate Relations, we signed off on these weapons. And for some reason, the administration has withheld those weapons.” “I think maybe it gives them leverage over Israel and decision making processes,” he continued. “But when I talked to the prime minister in his office, this creates daylight between the United States and Israel. New Hampshire Republican Governor Chris Sununu said on Sunday that the bump in the polls that Democrats have enjoyed in recent days after Vice President Kamala Harris effectively secured the party’s presidential nomination will soon come to an end. Sununu made the remarks during an interview on ABC News’s “This Week” while discussing the fallout from President Joe Biden ending his re-election campaign. “This is the honeymoon,” Sununu said. “I mean, this is the honeymoon period. [Democrats] had the — if you will, the courage to push him off of the ballot. Vice President Harris is in there. The media is fawning. Everyone’s excited.” “It’s a whole new race. That’s all very true. And that’s going to last for about 30 days. There’s no question. I think the Democrats can take that momentum into the convention,” he continued. “The first poll, I believe, that will actually matter, if I may, is the Wednesday after Labor Day. So, you’re going to have this 30-day honeymoon period. Things will settle. Folks will get back, talk to their family and friends, come off a summer vacation, put their kids in school, all that sort of stuff.” He said once people get back into the swing of their normal lives they will start to think about what the change in the race means and how this election will impact them. “And you’re going to get back to numbers you saw about a month before the original debates, which is essentially a neck in neck race, or at least within the margin of error. Probably Trump up by a little bit nationally. Some of the swing states all in play. And it’s going to come back to issues,” he said. “The border issue, the inflation issue, these are some very real issues. It isn’t just going to be about, well, we need to vote for Vice President Harris because she’s a woman or she — we need to vote for her because it’s just a change and it’s not Donald Trump.” WATCH:

Lindsey Graham (R-SC) warned on Sunday that President Joe Biden’s push to “reform” the U.S. Supreme Court is about destroying it because the institution stands in the way of the Democratic Party’s agenda. Graham made the remarks during an interview on CBS News’s “Face The Nation” when asked about the renewed push from Biden. When asked if he could back the idea being pushed by Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Graham responded: “No, because he wants to destroy the court. They want to pack the court. They want her to undercut the conservative court.” “They’ve tried to marginalize the court and destroy the Roberts court,” he said. “The Roberts court has brought constitutional balance back to the court, and the liberals in this country want to pack the court. They want to destroy the court. So their initiatives coming from Biden will be dead on arrival in the Senate. They have no desire to make the court better. They’re just trying to make it more liberal.” When asked about instituting term limits for Supreme Court justices, which is something that the political Left wants, Graham responded: “No, no, no, no, no, no. They didn’t complain about any of this when the court was pumping out opinions they liked. Only when we brought constitutional balance back from having a conservative court was the court a threat to the country.” “What’s been a threat to the country is an out-of-control liberal court issuing opinions that basically take over every phase of American life based on nine people’s judgment,” he said. “So this Roberts court has brought constitutional balance back to the country. And one of the issues on the ballot in 2024 is, what kind of court do you want? Graham made the remarks during an interview on CBS News’s “Face The Nation” when asked about the Hezbollah attack on Saturday that killed at least 12 children and wounded dozens more. “Iran is behind all of this,” Graham noted. “And until we put Iran on notice that we’re going to hold you accountable for attacks by Hezbollah and Hamas against Israel, you’re going to get more of the same. The attack of October the 7th was designed to stop normalization, in my view, between Saudi Arabia and Israel.” “So, until the Iranians believe they’re going to get hit, that we start putting their oil refineries on a target list, you’re going to get more of this,” he continued. “When it comes to Iran, Biden/Harris have been a colossal failure in terms of controlling the ayatollah. They’ve enriched him, and Israel’s paying the price.” When asked if he thought the conflict could rapidly escalate with Hezbollah, Graham answered: “Yes, what I worry the most about is a sprint to a nuclear weapon. The director of national intelligence gave the Senate a report last week about the status of the Iranian nuclear program and their malign activities, helping their proxies, like Hezbollah and Hamas throughout the Mideast. It was stunning.” “I am very worried that not only you could open up a second front, but they could use these three or four months before our election to sprint to a nuclear weapon,” he added. “And we have to put them on notice that cannot happen.” WATCH:
