AMD says it’s already working on its Zen 6 and Zen 7 Ryzen gaming CPUs

AMD has for the first time confirmed that its next CPU architecture will be called AMD Zen 6, which will follow on from the Zen 5 launch in just two weeks. The company also confirmed that there's a Zen 7 architecture in the works, which will follow on from Zen 6 several more years into the future. The AMD CPU reveal came directly from the company itself at its recent AMD Tech Day event. Here, as well as talking about some more details of its upcoming Zen 5 CPUs - including showing off the 9950X overclock capabilities - it also looked ahead at its future CPU roadmap. While we're a long way from these chips being earmarked for a place on our best gaming CPU guide, if AMD's recent track record is a reliable yardstick, they'll be strong contenders when they arrive. The Outlast Trials gets more weird with new asset now hunting players

What we all need is more suffering. No, wait, I have that the wrong way round. What we all need is less suffering - except when we play The Outlast Trials. Then, suffering is expected and even encouraged. Putting players into a series of psychological experiments over and over again, asking them to run and hide from an odd roster of murderers might be considered sadistic, but its fans are lapping it up. With a 93% positive review rating on Steam, The Outlast Trials is making waves in all the right ways - and with a big new update it just got even weirder, more sadistic, and better. The best Prime Day tech deals you can grab for $100 or less

The Fitbit Charge 6 is a great $100 tracker with a solid set of fitness and health tracking features. | Photo by Amelia Holowaty Krales / The Verge What do the latest AirPods Pro, the Meta Quest 3, and the iRobot Roomba j7 Plus all have in common? They’re all on sale for Prime Day... for upwards of $200. Thankfully, you can still score deals on terrific gadgets and goods without racking up credit debt or dipping into your savings account during Amazon’s two-day sale. Over the years, we gadget nerds at The Verge have tested all kinds of incredible stuff, some of which are currently on sale for less than $100. They range from one of the best e-readers on the market to some of our favorite streaming devices, Fitbits, speakers, video doorbells, and video games. We could go on, but to make things... Elon Musk and tech elite back a pro-Trump super PAC

Image: Cath Virginia / The Verge; Getty Images Several close friends of Elon Musk, including Palantir cofounder Joe Lonsdale, venture capitalist Doug Leone, and investor and podcast host David Sacks, have donated lavishly to a super PAC backing former President Donald Trump — and The Wall Street Journal reports that Musk plans on donating as much as $45 million a month to America PAC. In a post on X, Musk replied to the Journal’s article with a meme claiming it was “fake gnus” (fake news), though Bloomberg reported this weekend that he had already contributed an undisclosed amount to the super PAC. Musk endorsed Trump on Saturday following the assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania and praised Trump’s selection of Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate....
