When Michigan resident Alyse Sparkman sat down to dinner with her husband, neither of them imagined their baby would be born in the restaurant before they even had a chance to enjoy their meal! Earlier that day, the couple had gone to the hospital because of the pregnant woman’s contractions. However, according to CBS Detroit, doctors told them that they were too early. They should go for a walk and perhaps get something to eat. That’s how the pair ended up at Lily’s Seafood Grill & Brewery. Recalling the doctors’ advice, Sean Sparkman parked a couple of blocks away from the restaurant on the third level of a parking garage. He and his wife had been told that climbing stairs would be good for the pregnant woman. Unfortunately, the couple had barely touched their food when Alyse’s water broke. In seconds, Sean was racing back to the parking garage to grab the car. “I threw down some money, jumped over the fence and started running across town,” he told People.
