Donations for a “bail fund” were solicited by an umbrella organization protesting at a demonstration outside the Republican National Convention on Monday that they claim will draw 5,000 people from across the nation. The Coalition to March on the RNC, consisting of more than 120 leftist groups, is unified by its fight against the “racist” agenda of the Republican Party, defense of abortion and immigrant rights, and standing with “Palestine,” according to its website. The group says it solicited money for its “bail fund” during its “RNC Protest Kickoff to Raise Funds for Freedom Fighters” on Sunday, according to a post on its Instagram account. “The RNC is still going to nominate Trump, and Project 2025 is still their goal. There will be many more fights and a bail fund will be vital to defend themselves,” the group wrote. “It’s also vital we learn and build a grassroots community to fight for our lives.” Another post mentioned the group reached “a handshake agreement” with the City of Milwaukee to march within “sight and sound of the RNC.” “Because of this, we know we will be able to keep people safer, have a family-friendly march, and march against the Republicans,” the group wrote.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Coalition to March on the RNC (@marchonrnc2024)   The Milwaukee City Attorney’s office and members of the city’s police department met with the group to discuss the agreement, which allows them to take a route outside the RNC’s security perimeter, according to Fox 6. The group’s website also asks for donations to help cover the costs of protest supplies, water bottles, first aid kits, and legal fees.  Leftist groups from across the country endorsed the march, including various unions, socialist clubs, and several anti-Israel organizations. The agenda for its Monday protest includes a press conference, rally, and march beginning at noon CST, as reported by the New York Times. The group has been organizing the march for at least two years, as its first Instagram post was from May 2022. Another post claims that several organizations involved also helped with the Coalition to March on the DNC in 2019 and 2020.

An attorney for the estranged wife of the man accused of killing six women in the Gilgo Beach area of Long Island, New York, says the man is also the main suspect in a seventh murder. Robert Macedonio, the attorney representing the suspect’s estranged wife, said the Gilgo Beach serial killer is the main suspect in a seventh murder, CBS News reported but didn’t provide any additional information. The Daily Wire is not naming the suspect due to a policy regarding mass killers. His wife is also not being named because she is not accused of any wrongdoing. Macedonia made the announcement from the suspect’s driveway in Massapequa Park on the 1-year anniversary of the man’s arrest. He had previously announced that he would give an update on the family on Saturday afternoon, Fox 5 New York reported. Flanked by the suspect’s wife and their two children, Macedonio provided an update on the family’s situation, saying they are still “piecing their lives back together.” “They are collateral damage to the alleged actions of [the suspect]. Whether they happened or did not happen, whether he’s innocent or guilty, their lives are forever turned upside down,” Macedonio said. The suspect’s estranged wife didn’t answer questions, but did give an update about her current battle with cancer. “I’m not in remission yet. I have up to three years, then the doctors will see if I’m in remission,” she said. She had been married to the suspect for 27 years but filed for divorce just six days after he was arrested. In March, she released a statement saying her estranged husband is “not capable of the crimes he is accused of.” “I will listen to all of the evidence and withhold judgment until the end of trial,” the wife said in a statement released through Macedonio. “I have given him the benefit of the doubt, as we all deserve.” Macedonio reportedly said the wife visits the suspect weekly. She also provided “heartfelt sympathies” to the victims and their families in her statement. “Nobody deserves to die in that manner,” she added. The suspect has pleaded not guilty to the murders of Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, and Amber Costello, who were found on a beach along the south shore of Long Island, New York, back in 2010. In January, the suspect was charged with the murder of a fourth woman, Maureen Brainard-Barnes. In June, the suspect was charged with the 2003 death of Jessica Taylor and the 1993 death of Sandra Costilla.

When and where?’” Black said at the time. “And then they hit me with the big one. They said, ‘Jack, you can’t go. You have nothing to wear. Your good suit is in the cleaners.’ Well, were they wrong? Because I had this to wear, my kick-ass American flag overalls — most patriotic outfit of all times. And that shut ’em up.” Black’s speech took place at the same Hollywood fundraiser that led fellow actor George Clooney to the conclusion that Biden was not, in fact, up to the task of another campaign and another four years as president. “The one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can,” Clooney observed in a New York Times op-ed. “It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal‘ Biden of 2010.
