Former President Donald Trump’s full access to his Facebook and Instagram accounts will be restored after they were severely restricted following January 6, social media company Meta said on Friday. Meta said that it would be rolling back restrictions in the coming weeks, mentioning the upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee where Trump will be officially designated the GOP’s 2024 nominee. Multiple social media outlets targeted Trump after a riot broke out at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 as Congress voted to certify the 2020 election results.  After the riot, Trump lost all access to his Facebook and Instagram accounts, before they were eventually restored with severe restrictions. The accounts were hit with advertising limits and faced stricter penalties if they violated Meta’s policies. Meta Global Affairs President Nick Clegg said that these stipulations would be removed due the upcoming presidential election.  “With the party conventions taking place shortly, including the Republican convention next week, the candidates for President of the United States will soon be formally nominated. In assessing our responsibility to allow political expression, we believe that the American people should be able to hear from the nominees for President on the same basis,” Clegg said in a statement.  “As a result, former President Trump, as the nominee of the Republican Party, will no longer be subject to the heightened suspension penalties. In reaching this conclusion, we also considered that these penalties were a response to extreme and extraordinary circumstances, and have not had to be deployed,” Clegg added. “All US Presidential candidates remain subject to the same Community Standards as all Facebook and Instagram users, including those policies designed to prevent hate speech and incitement to violence.” Meta said that it would continue to evaluate whether political expression acted against its responsibility to “to avoid serious risks to other human rights.”  Trump was also banned on Twitter, now X, before Elon Musk restored his account after he took over the company.  In response to the social media restrictions placed on him, Trump launched Truth Social, his own social media platform where he primarily posts now. Truth Social went public earlier this year and is traded under the “DJT” moniker.

While watching a horror movie, two siblings hear someone at the front door, both thinking that their father had returned home. No one was there. What caused the sound?I received the following account:"One night, when I was a teen, I was watching 'The Conjuring' at home with my sister when we heard someone putting a key into our front door and opening it. We were sitting in the living room next to a sliding door that was very close to the front door so we both heard it very clearly. Now this didn't alarm us since we knew our dad had recently gone out to get some stuff, so we just assumed he had returned.“Dad, you’re back already?” I casually asked.There was no response.“Dad?” I asked again, thinking that he had not heard me the first time.Again, silence.At this point, I got the feeling that something wasn’t quite right and I could tell by the look on my sister’s face that she was quite nervous as well (I’ll note that up to this point, she had spent the evening rolling her eyes at horror movie clichés and she very rarely gets scared). We looked at each other for a moment wondering what we should do before we started hearing a few more scattering sounds from right outside the sliding door. I was frozen in fear by this stage.I tried one more time in a louder, but shakier voice: “Dad, is that you?”I'm thinking, 'Please respond, please respond...' repeated in my head. But the silence continued.Now at this point, I’m freaking out and I literally jumped off the couch. My sister also abruptly gets up and starts rapidly walking towards the other end of the room which leads to the kitchen area (she later revealed to me that she was planning on grabbing a knife). She had this horrified look on her face that I hadn’t seen before. We looked at each other in nervous silence; I didn't really know what to do and I didn't want to make any further sounds.I finally decided to walk up to the sliding door and began opening it as slowly as possible, peering into the darkness (I know, I literally became the idiot who investigates the unknown, creepy noise without anything to protect myself with). When the door was finally open wide enough, I poked my head out and scanned the hallway, preparing for the worst. To my surprise, there was no one there. But what was more strange was that the front door was still completely shut (we never heard the door close). My sister and I were obviously both extremely relieved as we were almost certain that there was an intruder in the house.After this, I immediately went to ask my mom (who was situated in her bedroom at the other end of our house) if it was her or whether she had noticed anything. She told me that she thought my dad had come home as well and she also heard someone opening the front door.Around half an hour later, which felt like an eternity at the time as we were still quite shaken from the incident, my dad finally arrived home and confirmed that he had not come home earlier. To this day my sister and I still have no idea what happened that night." CNOTE: I wonder if this was a case of a thoughtform or mind manifestation that resulted from watching the horror film. An English teen observed a creepy child-sized crawler humanoid crawling through his garden in Berkshire, UK."As a teen, I just refused to sleep at normal hours, especially on weekends. Why? Well, that’s because the house I lived in and the land the house was on was haunted as sh*t. Staying up usually meant seeing some freaky activity and growing up in a small English town in Berkshire, well that’s as exciting as life got.So one night when I was around 14, I was staying up staring out my window when I started seeing glowing blue and purple lights coming from the forest behind my house (we don’t have fireflies where I lived). I thought they were cool so I just continued staring at them, trying to figure out what they were. Now the way my house was set up, my bedroom window faced the forest and my back garden, and directly next to my room is a side gate that links to the front part of the house. On either side of the gates are motion sensor lights.So the lights in the forest may not have been paranormal but what happened next most definitely was. The motion at the front of the gate triggers, casting a faint light into my garden. The night grows really silent, with no more owls or crickets, and just really eery. The lights in the forest came to ebb and then just die out. I listen carefully as I start to hear scuttling on the wood of the gate. It’s muffled so I slightly crack open my window to get a better look / listen.Now that gate is always locked, with a heavy padlock at that. To this day I have asked my dad if he ever left the gate unlocked that night and he stands by the fact that unless he’s gardening the gate stays closed. This was spring so he might have started seeding so for my own comfort of mind, I’m gonna assume he left the gate open.Anyways, I hear the gate slowly swing open. The creeks of the wood were so loud against the silent night, so the sound was very distinctive. The motion light right underneath my bedroom window switches on. Honestly, to this day I really can’t explain what I saw.It was this off-white veiny kind of skin texture and was about the size of a child. It walked on all fours and looked just sickly. Its hind legs were significantly longer than its front legs and it looked to have hand claws? I hate having to link back to Creepypasta but it honestly looked like the Rake.Now I’ve gone through the possibilities in my head trust me. It was too small to be the deer that frequented our garden, also it had no remote deer-like features. A badger or fox with a disease is possible. However, I’ve never seen badgers or foxes with such long limbs and so disproportionate. Also, this thing was completely hairless and humanlike.The worst part about it to me was how it slowly and silently moved up my garden path before disappearing into the woods. The noises of the night started back up after that but I was so shook that I didn’t sleep that entire night.I’m from England so I haven’t heard of any folklore that matches what I saw. I know there were occult practices done in the woods behind my house but I’m pretty sure it was pagan, hence not inherently bad or demonic.I don’t know what I saw." I believe, at some point, a time glitch event has happened to most people. Are these time slips or something entirely different? Is it a temporary transport to a parallel universe? What do you think?“Help! About 2 hours ago me and my fiance went to get some food. We got on the freeway and had about a 4-minute drive until our exit. Now the place we go to eat is somewhere we frequent often.So we get off on our exit make a left turn (the direction is important) and continue to go straight after that. We drove for about 5 minutes and suddenly realized that there was no other traffic on the road going in either direction. I live in Fresno, CA, and although it’s no LA or San Francisco we still are a big city and there is always some kind of traffic. It wasn’t too late (11:45 pm) so not only was there no traffic but there was NOBODY around and all the street lights were out. My fiance made a comment on this and we both got a little freaked out but shrugged it off.We then realized we were going in the opposite direction of what we had thought (as if we had turned right not left like we are sure we did). We had been driving for over 10 minutes by that point and our destination (once off the freeway) is at most 3 minutes away. We were at least 5 miles away from our destination and in the complete opposite direction. There was also a very heavy feeling of being the only people in the entire town, it felt like all the people in town were just gone! We are sure that we turned the right way and even if we hadn’t we can’t explain the disappearance of people or traffic, the heavy creepy feeling we got, or the fact that even if we had turned the wrong way it took way longer to get the point we were at then it should have. Once we realized we were going the wrong way we turned around and all of a sudden everything was back to normal. Street lights are back on, there’s traffic and people in the street. So we start freaking out trying to figure out what in the hell just happened.So we get home and I start to tell my teenage son what happened when all of a sudden my iPad turns itself on and Siri asks if she can help me. Now anyone with an Apple product knows that to get to Siri you have to hold the home button down for at least 5 seconds or more. So we’re all freaking out over that. Then about 15 minutes later our hallway light which my fiancé is 100% sure he turned off was back on. 'It's Over': Dem Panic Over 2024 Curdles Into Despair

President Joe Biden may continue to claim he’s fit to remain president, but his supporters aren’t so sure. In a recent New York Times op-ed titled, “George Clooney: I love Joe Biden. But we need a new nominee,” Clooney makes the case for Biden stepping down and allowing another Democrat to take on Donald Trump in the 2024 election. “I love Joe Biden. As a senator. As a vice president and as a president. I consider him a friend, and I believe in him. ... In the last four years, he’s won many of the battles he’s faced. ... But one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can,” Clooney wrote in the op-ed. “It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate,” Clooney continued. “Joe Biden is a hero; he saved democracy in 2020. We need him to do it again in 2024,” he concluded. While Sara Gonzales and Dave Rubin agree that Biden is unfit to be in the White House, they’re not totally sold on Clooney’s little think piece. “How many shots of Casamigos did he have before he wrote that thing,” Rubin jokes, while Gonzales laughs. “First off, Joe Biden did not save democracy. Secondly, he has not done anything positive, if you really care about America, in the three-and-a-half years of this sham, absurd administration.” Rubin believes this all actually has “something to do with Barack Obama.” “At the end of that event, the way he carried him offstage,” Rubin explains. “The way he put his arm around him was so condescending, and that was Obama to me, signaling to everybody, 'Don’t worry, this is really me in charge.'” “They’re realizing, 'Uh-oh, Biden is not going to win so we better replace him quick so that we have a chance for Barack to have his fourth term,'” he adds. Gonzales notes that on May 20, Clooney called a top White House official to complain about Biden condemning the ICC and calling its arrest warrants outrageous “because Joe Biden was dissing his wife.” Strangely enough, Clooney also threw a massive fundraiser with Biden, where together they raised around $28 million for the Biden campaign. “Then shortly afterwards, we hear George Clooney is all of a sudden like, ‘Oh, you know, changed my mind,’” Gonzales says, wondering what's really behind the sudden change. An illegal immigrant is accused of stabbing his two children to death and injuring his wife in Wisconsin. The Mexican native accused of murdering his daughters had been living in the United States illegally, according to reports. Victor Manuel Gomez Acosta was charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and attempted homicide. If convicted on the charges, he could face up to life in prison.Acosta Gomez remains in custody at the Clark County Jail on a $1 million bond. He also has an immigration detainer filed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement that will hold him in custody. According to WEAU, police responded to an emergency call that a woman had been stabbed around 1:40 a.m. on July 5 in Abbotsford, Wisconsin. The woman told investigators that she was sleeping when the stabbing occurred. Police discovered two children with fatal stab wounds at the crime scene. WQOW-TV reported that one of the children suffered 20 stab wounds to her chest, back, neck, hand, and arm. Some allegedly appeared to be defensive wounds. The other girl was stabbed 16 times, mostly in the chest and neck area. The mother of the children was also stabbed multiple times, but she survived and needed critical medical treatment. The mother of the children was stabbed roughly 17 times, including slicing her vocal cords and another was extremely close to her jugular vein. She required emergency surgery.Police officers allegedly surrounded the trailer home where Acosta Gomez had been residing and the standoff lasted about 30 minutes until he surrendered. Acosta Gomez reportedly had self-inflicted stab wounds and was transported to the Marshfield Medical Center for his injuries before being medically cleared to be transported to the Clark County Jail. The Colby-Abbotsford Police Department said in a press release that a motive for the stabbing "has not been identified at this time."An investigation into the fatal stabbings has been launched by the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Wisconsin State Patrol, Clark County District Attorney’s Office, Clark County Coroner’s Office, and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office. Citing ICE officials, Fox News reported that Gomez Acosta entered the U.S. legally at the port of entry in Laredo, Texas, in September 2016. However, he allegedly violated the terms of his entry conditions. Colby-Abbotsford Police Department Police Chief Alex Bowman informed Just the News that Gomez Acosta entered the U.S. on a six-month work permit but overstayed the legal time period he was allowed to work.The police department said Gomez Acosta was previously arrested for Operating While Intoxicated/Impaired (OWI) by an outside jurisdiction and arrested for another OWI offense in Colby-Abbotsford.Bowman told the outlet that it has been extremely difficult to get ICE to take custody of illegal immigrants who commit crimes since 2020. “Prior to 2020, it was a lot easier to work with ICE and immigration and now their hands are tied on a lot of things,” Bowman said. “I can tell you that even felons we’ve arrested for felony crimes and stuff, immigration still hasn’t come and gotten them.”“I used to see immigration [officials] all the time over here,” he added. “Now, I haven’t heard from ICE in four years.
