Ever wish you could be a fly on the wall as Elon Musk and Donald Trump hang out at Mar-a-Lago or at a SpaceX rocket launch? I’ve got the next best thing. She went on Stu Varney’s show today and it was a fascinating conversation! They covered many different topics in the 7 minute interview, but most notable was when she explained what Elon’s friendship with President Trump is like. I live in New York, and they’re in Mar-a-Lago or [a] SpaceX launch, and they just seem to be having fun. A lot of fun,” Musk said during an appearance on “Varney & Co.,” Tuesday. “And it’s nice for both of them to have fun, and [Elon] really respects him a lot and is really happy that there’s a future for America now.” Shortly after Trump’s election victory, he announced that Elon and former Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy would be teaming up to lead the first-ever Department of Government Efficiency, now known as DOGE, aimed at cutting wasteful federal spending. Musk and Ramaswamy noted in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that they have already been working with the Trump transition team to “hire a lean team of small-government crusaders, including some of the sharpest technical and legal minds in America.” Other general initiatives they hope to move forward include slashing industry regulations, reducing the federal workforce and saving taxpayer money. “[He’s] very excited because it’s going to be very easy,” Maye Musk said. “I sat in the back, I sit behind [Elon] and I like to sit in on meetings, and Elon and Vivek and others were talking, and they said, first of all, come to work. I mean, isn’t that crazy, that buildings are empty?” “The buildings are empty, and now you are paying for them, I’m paying for them. And I don’t think that’s fair,” she expanded. “When he bought Twitter, he found out that the building’s empty and nobody has to come in unless they want to meditate or something.” Elon’s mom also warned against public and media figures who may try to come between Musk and Trump’s seemingly strong relationship. “What they call mainstream media, but I call them dishonest Democrat media, they will be trying to break up the relationship. They will be hating everything,” Maye said. “And I told that to Elon, he said he expects that because they were dishonest before the election.” When it comes to how the public describes her son, Maye Musk prefers to recognize him by his entrepreneurial spirit versus his net worth. A small town in South Carolina has experienced an extremely difficult week. McColl, South Carolina, which is in Marlboro County, had its entire police force resign. Bob Hale, the former chief of police, submitted his letter of resignation on Halloween, citing a “hostile work environment perpetuated by a specific Councilman.” “For months, I have endured unwarranted and malicious behavior aimed at undermining my integrity and leadership. These actions have not only affected me personally but have also created a toxic atmosphere that has hindered the department’s ability to function effectively. Despite our efforts to address these issues professionally and through appropriate channels, the harassment and hostility have persisted,” Hale wrote in a Facebook post, according to South Carolina Public Radio. “As a law enforcement leader, my primary duty is to serve and protect the people of this community while ensuring my team can operate with dignity and respect. The ongoing actions of this particular Councilman have made it impossible to fulfill this mission without compromising our principles and well-being,” Hale added. His last day on the job was November 22nd. The other police officers in the small town resigned shortly after. A former investigator also made this claim about the department. “At the end of the day, I have a family. And when my job is constantly getting threatened and certain things are getting said I’m not going to stay somewhere and tolerate that,” former McColl investigator Courtney Bulusan said. Bulusan said she called it quits on Thursday, adding she wanted to go somewhere where she’s valued. “I’m not going to stay where I’m tolerated,” Bulusan said. “I’m going to go where I’m celebrated.” Bulusan claims her job faced unnecessary challenges due to the lack of tools and equipment for her to utilize. “I was on my way to a call when that one just stopped working. We need cars,” Bulusan said. She said she wanted McColl residents to know her resignation had nothing to do with the community and she hopes the town takes the right steps to keep the community safe. Days later, the town’s mayor passed away in a car accident. “The Marlboro County coroner said George Garner II, 49 , died Tuesday when the vehicle he was driving collided head-on with a truck,” WYFF 4 noted. Garner had recently been re-elected as mayor. “An automobile collision claimed the life of a Marlboro County man today in Darlington County. George Garner II, 49 , of McColl, SC died when the vehicle he was driving collided head on with a truck. The incident occurred on Hwy 34 in Mechanicsville around 2:40 PM. Mr. Garner was the Mayor of McColl, SC and had recently been re-elected,” Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said in a press release. “The incident is under investigation by The Darlington County Coroner and the SCHP MAIT team. When the incident occurred Mr. Garner was being pursued by a Marlboro County Deputy. The pursuit was not related to any laws being broken. The pursuit was taking place in an effort to protect the well being of Mr. Garner,” he continued. Lena Butler. Garner was taken to McLeod Regional Medical Center where he died from injuries sustained in the accident, Butler said. The driver of the truck also was injured. The State Law Enforcement Division said it has an active and ongoing investigation involving Garner, but no further information is available. The entire police force in McColl — a town of about 2,000 people located in Marlboro County — recently resigned, citing harassment from a member of the town council and a lack of resources for the department. When the police force resigned, Garner sourced help from the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, which has since provided 24-hour coverage for the town. McColl has had significant turnover in the police department in the past several years. Garner previously told The Post and Courier that in order to get a police chief to stay in the town, they needed to work on building trust between the police department and the town council. WATCH:

Noah here with a Public Service Announcement…. As I told you last night in my Newsletter (sign up for Free here), we’re doing two Thanksgivings this year….one we did today and one we’re doing tomorrow. A holiday so nice we’re doing it twice! And that’s good with my because I love Thanksgiving! But here’s my public service announcement…. This might sound silly, but sometimes when I find things that are really great I want to share them with you. I always get a little intimidated by cooking the turkey, hey it’s a big job and the entire meal is ruined if you mess up the turkey!  Overdoing it is bad, undercooking is even worse, everyone goes home with violent diarrhea. So you have to get it right. And I came armed to this grilling session with three different meat thermometers. One was the classic one you see in the photo above…. I bought it new from the store this year and it was pure garbage. It read 190 degrees before I stuck it in and then it read 90 degrees immediately after I first stuck it in. Of course neither were right. But who can tell anyway from the way the screen fogs up and cakes over almost instantly. So that was worthless. About halfway through I got out the second thermometer…. This one was a nice one, still in the box.  I have no idea where it came from, probably a gift from someone. Very nice, very fancy, but no instructions at all in the box. So I go out to the grill and poke this bad boy into the turkey, close the lid because you have to keep the heat in right, and let it cook. Luckily I checked up on it after about 10 minutes to see how it was doing and what temp it was reading and the whole thing had melted! Turns out this was more of a “post cooking” thermometer, not rated for use ON the grill. I quickly pulled it out and thank goodness it was all still self-contained and while it was quickly melting into a pile of mush, nothing had really exploded or gotten on the food (unless I end up dead tomorrow from Mercury poisoning, and then you’ll all know what happened to me!  Either death by Mercury poisoning or the Clintons finally got me!). So anyway, two thermometers dead but I still had one to go…and that’s the one I want to tell you about. It’s made by a company called MEATER (get it?  It’s a meter measurement for meat, hence MEATER) and it’s totally awesome!! No, MEATER is not paying me anything to write this article, I just thought their product was SO GOOD that I wanted to tell you all about it…. And it’s my website so I get to do what I want! Here’s what it looked like in my turkey: By the way, I don’t want to brag or anything but isn’t that a good looking bird? I was pretty happy with it this year! And here’s what it looks like up close: It comes in this beautiful wood box that also serves as the charging unit so it’s always charged when you go to use it. You stick it in the whatever you’re cooking and this bad boy won’t melt on the grill like my other one, this is fire rated for up to 1,000 degrees! Then the really cool part is it wirelessly syncs to your phone and gives you readouts for the internal temp of the meat you’re cooking, the target temp for when it’s safe to eat (165 degrees for turkey) and the ambient temp inside your grill or oven or wherever you’re cooking (recommended 325-350 for the grill, low and slow baby). It then calculates how much time you have remaining, and then after that’s over it instantly changes to a countdown clock for letting the meat rest, which is so important.
