2 More Celebrities Embrace Traditional Values

Two big-name celebrities did something radical last weekend: They embraced traditional values.  Could these be signs that the tides are turning in the culture war? Is the public finally canceling cancel culture? Are Celebrities Becoming “Trad”???Two A-list singers did something shocking this past weekend—they promoted their traditional values in an industry hostile to their beliefs. Do you think pop culture is finally ready to ditch toxic progressivism? @EliseMcCue pic.twitter.com/G0eOMwNNpy— The Daily Signal (@DailySignal) December 10, 2024 Pop singer Gwen Stefani announced on social media that she will partner with Hallow, the world’s No. 1 prayer app for Catholics, to lead an Advent prayer meditation.  Other celebrities to narrate prayers on Hallow include actors Jonathan Roumie, Mark Wahlberg, and Patricia Heaton. It turns out that Stefani, the No Doubt frontwoman, is a practicing Catholic who never missed a Sunday Mass while on tour with the band. It’s so crazy that Gwen Stefani, who never missed Sunday Mass while on her “No Doubt” tours, is a Christian. At least people are being honest and saying they despised Christianity all along. The tolerant were never “tolerant.” https://t.co/qsOxD6uZXu— Brittany Hugoboom (@BritHugoboom) December 6, 2024 Also over the weekend, singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey, while presenting an award at Variety magazine’s eighth annual Hitmakers Event, had this to say about her values: It’s super nerve-racking to hold on to an innocent perception of how things could go when you’re in an industry where maybe your values and your morals don’t quite match up with what’s going on. Especially when people think you probably don’t have any morals or values. Del Rey, who has sported a signature Americana aesthetic since 2012, called new husband Jeremy Dufrene an “honest partner.”  Lana Del Rey got married to alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene today. pic.twitter.com/BGEfqenUea— Pop Crave (@PopCrave) September 27, 2024 Dufrene isn’t another tortured artist, nor is he an actor or influencer. Dufrene is a captain for a tour boat company in Louisiana. Based on his interactions online, he is also pro-Trump, anti-vaccine, and pro-traditional values. Although some social media users criticized both Stefani and Del Rey, even more defended the two singers.  This is utterly appalling – a Catholic woman wants to use her God-given talents to help herself and others prepare for Christmas – and this … person … has a problem I bet this harridan has a “hate has no home here” sign When did America become so filled with anti-Christian…— Diana Villiers (@DianaVilliers1) December 6, 2024 The youth vote swung toward the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, in the presidential election by an unprecedented amount. Could this be related to the acceptance of online messages touting traditional values from Stefani and Del Rey over the weekend? The two pop artists’ statements aren’t remotely close to the full-fledged conservative “coming out” (and subsequent cancellation) of other celebrities such as actor Gina Carano or even entrepreneur Elon Musk. Nevertheless, a tangible shift in the culture allowed the two singers to make these statements without meeting the same fate as those other celebrities. Voters beware: Centrist promises often mask a radical agenda

The “moderate Democrat” is like the tooth fairy — a feel-good fantasy you want to believe in but that doesn’t really exist. Many reasonable people got excited when Rep. Seth Moulton’s post-election comments appeared in the New York Times, in which the Massachusetts Democrat and father of “two little girls” said he didn’t want them “getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete.” Moderate Democrats are a relic of the past. A Tom Daschle or Joe Crowley could never get elected under today’s radicalized Democratic umbrella. Yet for merely suggesting that Democrats should shift their messaging on transgenderism, Moulton drew swift condemnation, with Steve Kerrigan, chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, strongly rebuking the congressman’s remarks. But the truth is that Moulton is no level-headed classical liberal. He’s a pro-choice, pro-gun-control, pro-open-borders climate-change alarmist. He gets a lower score from the conservative Heritage Foundation than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Cori Bush (D-Mo.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.). Even so, Moulton was pilloried because admission to the liberal sanctum demands absolute ideological purity. Similarly, laying the groundwork for a 2026 gubernatorial run, Bronx-area Rep. Ritchie Torres recently branded New York Governor Kathy Hochul as the “new Joe Biden.” He talks about her “failed leadership” but not her policies. Indeed, he says, “She’s well-intentioned but ineffective.” The young lawmaker is merely masquerading as a moderate. This is a politically shrewd yet deceptive approach. It was only in 2022 when Torres supported granting citizenship and health care to all undocumented immigrants — a radical policy that is dangerous for all Americans. Moderate Democrats are a relic of the past. A Tom Daschle or Joe Crowley could never get elected under today’s radicalized Democratic umbrella. Take Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), a Jewish liberal darling who consistently touts his pro-Israel credentials when it’s politically expedient. He advanced Biden’s pressure campaign against Israel back in April over concerns about how “Israel has executed aspects of this war.” And when lawmakers professing to be friends of Israel aren’t voting like far-left anti-Semites, they’re defending them. Last year’s vote calling for the ouster of Ilhan Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee fell along party lines, with House Democrats, including Gottheimer and Torres, choosing to protect the Jew-hating politician. No matter what these so-called moderates say, today’s Democratic Party has no space for tempered governance. Ultimately, the priority will always be to harness the party energy that still resides with progressives. In the past, Senator Ed Markey (D-Mass.) declared his support for the Jewish state at major pro-Israel conferences held by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Today, Markey consistently votes to block to block arms sales to Israel during its war against genocidal terrorists. But for voters, it’s better to know the truth. A far-left progressive is a wolf in wolf’s clothing. A politician posturing as a centrist Democrat is merely a wolf in sheep’s clothing. However twisted and abhorrent the policies may be, knowing what to expect from radical Rashida Tlaib offers more comfort than having hopes dashed by a squeamish Chuck Schumer. As well-intentioned liberals continue their false fixation on curating a moderate path for the party, the Democratic establishment is ensuring that politicians aiming to be sound stewards over progressive power elites are left marginalized. It's unlikely that Democrats such as Torres would offer a real departure from the likes of Hochul and the progressives their party has helped popularize. The only question is whether voters will continue being duped by politicians who will, in the end, abandon any semblance of sanity due to the cannibalization of the Democratic Party by the left. Our nation’s extraordinary challenges will not be solved by leaving critical decisions up to spineless lawmakers whose power depends on defaulting to the rising influential progressives in the party. I used to believe in the tooth fairy, but then I turned 8. I’d like to believe today’s pseudo-centrist Democrats are sincere. But I woke up and there was nothing under the pillow.

Joe Burrow breaks his silence about robbery at his home reported to police by Sports Illustrated model

Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow addressed the media about a robbery at his house while he played at the team's game during Monday Night Football. The NFL issued a security alert in November to teams about the possibility of a transnational crew targeting the homes of players for robberies. 'We live a public life, and one of my least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy, and that has been difficult for me to deal with in my entire career.' "So obviously everybody has heard what has happened," said Burrow at a media briefing Wednesday. "I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one, and way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share. So that's all I got to say about that."Police were alerted about the robbery by Olivia Ponton, a 23-year-old Sports Illustrated model, who was at Burrow's home. She called police and also called her mother, who similarly called police. “Someone is trying to break into the house right now,” Ponton’s mother told a police dispatcher. “My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game.”A police report said Ponton was Burrow's employee, but the two had been rumored to be in a relationship before the incident. The report said Ponton noticed that a bedroom window had been shattered and a room ransacked when she arrived at the home. A spokesperson for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said that an off-duty special deputy was on the scene during the burglary providing security. That special deputy informed police that the burglary suspects had left the home when the officers arrived. Among those targeted for robberies were Kansas City quarterback Pat Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. The latter reportedly was robbed of $20,000. The crew is targeting homes of NFL and NBA players and using social media and other sophisticated means to plan their robberies."The one thing you don't realize when somebody posts your house online is that now everybody just has your address," Kelce later said on his podcast. Burrow also lamented the loss of privacy after becoming an NFL quarterback."We live a public life, and one of my least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy, and that has been difficult for me to deal with in my entire career," Burrow continued. "Still learning, but I understand it's the life that we choose, doesn't make it any any easier to deal with."Burrow led the Bengals to a 27-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Like Blaze News? Caitlin Clark named Time magazine’s Athlete of the Year, so why is superfan Jason Whitlock crying SAD tears?

Time magazine named Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark Athlete of the Year — a clear rebellion against the woke belief that only a black woman should receive the honor. One would think that Clark superfan Jason Whitlock would be thrilled. And he was, initially. However, when he read Clark’s interview, it nearly brought him to tears — sad tears. Clark’s statements suggest that she’s joined the dark side. It seems the progressives at the WNBA, which Whitlock calls “the Woke Negro Basketball Association,” have finally won her over. “I read the entire article, and when I was done, I nearly cried,” he admits. “They massacred Caitlin Clark.” “The one thing in sports where I watched and all the cares left my mind and all I could think about is, ‘Man, I love this little girl, I love what she represents,’ ... they've destroyed it,” Whitlock laments. “Those angry black lesbians that hated her — I love watching her slay them,” he says. However, it’s looking like Clark was slain herself — but in a different way. “I'm with the Woke Negroes Basketball Association; I'm with the feminists; I'm with the lesbians,” says Whitlock, paraphrasing Clark’s statements in the interview. While he presents several quotes from the interview, in which Clark’s unfortunate transformation is on full display, this one is perhaps the most telling: “I want to say I’ve earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege. A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been Black players. This league has kind of been built on them. The more we can appreciate that, highlight that, talk about that, and then continue to have brands and companies invest in those players that have made this league incredible, I think it’s very important. I have to continue to try to change that. The more we can elevate Black women, that’s going to be a beautiful thing.” According to Jason, we shouldn’t be surprised by this response. “She's behind enemy lines; they captured her, and they said, ‘Hey, read this statement,”’ he sighs. Delta Force: Proof that forced diversity can make you hate a good video game

Delta Force mirrors a decades-old but consistently successful blueprint for first-person shooters but stumbles out of the gate with cringeworthy characters and a boring prologue. Before launch, Delta Force promised modes like operations, attack and defend, and a recreation of the cinematic wonder that is "Black Hawk Down."The latter is a story familiar with most war genre fans but unfortunately wasn't available in the open beta.Users will be annoyed before the game even starts, having to parse through multiple screens in order to launch it. Users are asked to launch Steam, agree to terms and conditions, and then launch the game every time they boot it up, at least for now. What the gamer immediately gets when the game finally opens, however, is a storyline and set of characters so baffling it feels like it was written with artificial intelligence using the keywords "gender and racial diversity."The opening cinematic feature is a tried-and-true story about a conflict in a fictional Middle Eastern war zone, before quickly transitioning to a vague plotline about a cybernetic old woman communicating with her daughter via video call from a control room. Either this story was very hard to follow or it was so scatterbrained it wasn't worth following. The publishers also released other trailers for different plotlines, such as an Elon Musk-inspired Neuralink knockoff, where a female Russian character who helped develop the technology has to murder the co-founder.Moving on, the characters — or the "operators" — then offer a sad reflection of the current state of big-budget titles. Put a chick it in, make it lame!Using the typical "operator" method that has been used tirelessly by developers in recent years, users are given the option of eight characters, four of which are unlocked at launch.Three of the characters are Chinese, which becomes less strange when you find out Delta Force is developed by TiMi Studio Group out of Shenzen, China. While the game lacks the nonbinary characters that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 provides, it makes up for this with pointlessly diverse characters that seem like tropes from any given heist movie crew. The first few characters are normal enough if we excuse their nicknames: "D-Wolf" (Kai Silva), "Vyron" (Wang Yuhao), and "Stinger" (Roy Smee) are just regular-seeming guys with their own special set of gadgets and bonuses. This is where any semblance of actual time spent writing stops, though.Enter "Toxik," a Russian woman named Zoya Pomchenkova. This sexy operator uses mini-drones that are shaped like dragonflies to help her on the battlefield.Next is "Shepherd," the quintessential buff, quiet character whose name alludes to his deep religious faith. We then move on to "Uluru," who painfully shows up on screen as a beer drinking, spitting, bearded Australian guy with a mullet.Luna Kim uses her high-tech bow-and-arrow system to create scans of the battlefield to reveal nearby enemies."My arrow knows everything," she says, as users consider closing their laptop.Last is "Hackclaw," real name Mai Xiaowen, a silver-haired hacker wearing — you guessed it — a COVID-style mask."Don't imagine that hiding behind a keyboard makes you safe," she says, in what is seemingly a mistranslated tagline. At this point, it really seems major developers don't want gamers to have the freedom to create their own characters out of fear the user base may appear incredibly un-diverse. Instead, players are forced into tragically bad archetypes that provide unnecessary advantages that typically trump skill. This is especially odd given the customization levels throughout the game. - YouTube Gameplay: Auctions and microtransactionsAfter choosing from one of the incredibly demoralizing operators, users quickly jump into a prologue mission where they are joined by two other real gamers to explore a warehouse.Enemies inexplicably drop briefcases full of loot, ranging from ammo to medical supplies or hard drives. Key cards gain the player access to rooms with more loot.Equipment and load-out are customizable, allowing users to change their helmets, vests, and even their backpacks in order to carry more ammo or med packs.Users take their in-game findings with them to their menu hub where they can pull from their inventory before each game. This is key because there is a medical aspect to the game; players can bleed out slowly or use a tourniquet or wrap to stop the bleeding. There are other injectables for stat bonuses, too.Acquiring weapons and ammo out-of-game is very reminiscent of Counter-Strike and similar games, with in-game currency used to buy any item at auction. As a reminder, this game is free, so one might have expected it to include microtransactions ... and it does. Offers to buy in-game currency ranged from $1.35 to $135, which could have been curated, however, users can spend as much money as they want to get ahead. For example, a user can buy key cards in the auctions that allow them to gain access to certain rooms on a map to collect more goodies.Available game modes included operations and war, the latter offering fast-paced urban combat on the one available map upon launch. Users who get to level 12 unlock a "normal" difficulty for the map, as opposed to "easy."Operations is typical of games like Battlefield; fight for control of certain regions on the map until you control them all or exhaust the other team of their lives.ControlsAlthough there was no controller support on PC (even a custom setup didn't provide proper mapping), there are many of the standard in-game movements one expects to find. Purists may not be happy to hear that within hours of the game's launch there was already frequent abuse of the sliding maneuver. The action itself felt like anything you might play, while still being better and more realistic than Call of Duty or Fortnite.Purists may also not like the pace of the game; there are a lot of open areas and a lot of reviving going on. Vehicles parachuting in can be annoying as they are as bait as possible, as opposed to them being available by default on the map.For a free game though, there is not much to complain about. Unreal Engines look great (Unreal 4 for multiplayer, Unreal 5 for campaign), and recoil, damage, and movement is about what you'd expect. What Delta Force does right is deliver a current-generation, fast-paced shooter that provides a refreshingly simple kit system with a vast array of guns and items. What it gets wrong is being another game where users will be disadvantaged against whichever teenager is willing to spend the most money on in-game currency. This, combined with the awful operators meant to placate any complaints about a lack of diversity, will likely make the game a "pass" for anyone but hardcore fans of the pay-to-play genre.Like Blaze News?
