ATF and the Assasination Attempts

A congressional task force is ramping up its investigation into the assassination attempts on Donald Trump and targeting the ATF for allegedly hindering their efforts. The ATF argues it has cooperated fully, partnering with the FBI. We will see. The Investigation Focus A congressional task force has accused the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) of obstructing their investigation into assassination attempts on President-elect Trump. The task force has issued subpoenas to ATF employees, highlighting a need for their testimonies following the bureau’s lack of compliance with document and interview requests. These subpoenas are aimed at resolving issues surrounding the ATF’s alleged lack of transparency and cooperation. Previous attempts to obtain the required documents from the ATF have met with delays, leading to the issuance of subpoenas for a specific ATF agent and a supervisory agent. The task force, led by Chairman Rep. Mike Kelly and Ranking Member Rep. Jason Crow, is determined to uncover the truth. They assert their requests have not received satisfactory responses, hampering their ability to thoroughly investigate. House Trump assassination task force subpoenas two ATF employees: "To date, ATF has failed to produce a single document responsive to the Task Force’s requests and has failed to make any of its personnel available for interviews." — Chad Pergram (@ChadPergram) November 19, 2024 ATF’s Stance The ATF has responded to these accusations, emphasizing its commitment to support the task force. Spokesperson Kristina Mastropasqua stated the ATF has already provided a detailed briefing clarifying its role. The briefing explained that they had no formal responsibilities for the security of Trump’s campaign event but assisted in the subsequent investigation by tracing the firearm involved in the attempt. This cooperation, according to the ATF, showcases their willingness to aid the investigative process. The ATF also reiterated its collaboration with the FBI and the Department of Justice, which have reportedly already shared relevant documents with the task force. Despite these assertions, the task force remains intent on securing direct engagement with ATF personnel to ensure thorough transparency and accountability. The task force is focused on gathering all necessary information to clarify the events surrounding the assassination attempts, ensuring no stone is left unturned. Given the high stakes, the task force is intent on overcoming any hurdles to conclude the investigation comprehensively. The task force continues to navigate inter-agency cooperation while striving to eliminate any obstacles in their path. These efforts are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the investigation and upholding justice in the face of adversity. As the investigation unfolds, public interest remains high, offering no alternative but for all involved parties to work towards transparency and truth. MRC's Brent Bozell on Kamala's Campaign Blowing Billions on TV Ads

MRC founder and president Brent Bozell appeared Wednesday morning on Varney & Co. on the Fox Business Network to discuss how Kamala Harris’s campaign tried to explain away their squandering a billion and a half on “messaging,” including the sex podcast “Call Her Daddy.” They spent a wad building a set for this one chat.  Fill-in host Ashley Webster pointed out that Kamala’s episode of this show only drew a million listeners, (much less than Donald Trump or J.D. Vance drew on Joe Rogan’s show). BOZELL: Well, I guess if you wanted to reach the young people who like going to porn sites, that's the place to go. I didn't know that was a voting demographic, by the way. Look, this is a campaign that will never be able to justify spending more than $1.5 billion in three months. They didn't want to put her in television because they knew she was terrible so they just tried to flood the airwaves. But there’s just so much time you can buy. John McCain used to talk about overbombing in Afghanistan -- after a while, you're just watching rubble bounce. That's what it was with Kamala Harris ads. They were just everywhere and people were getting turned off by those ads, but they couldn't put her in television for interviews because she was just so terrible. So Joe Rogan reached out to her, others reached out to her, but they knew that they were gonna get serious questions, so they didn't want her there. They put her on porn sites. That’s all she could do. Then Webster asked about the White House press briefings in a second term:  “Donald Trump may consider giving people like the aforementioned Joe Rogan a seat in the White House press briefing room instead of the mainstream media. I love it when the cat is among the pigeons. That would cause a meltdown, wouldn't it, Brent?” Bozell replied: BOZELL: He has every right to look at them and say you don't have a right to be in this press briefing, you are not reporting the news. I’m gonna bring in other people. I’m bringing in Joe Rogan, who by the way has got a massive audience and you don't, your audiences are imploding, CNN's audience is imploding, MSNBC is imploding. Why does he care to have them in there? Laying out those audience facts would cause some exploding heads.

‘The Right Thing to Do’: The View Urges Biden to Pardon His Son Hunter

After spending nearly a decade calling President-elect Trump a threat to democracy/institutions/norms and proclaiming ‘no one is above the law’ as they demanded he be put in prison, the Cackling Coven of ABC’s The View put their ideologically driven hypocrisy on full display on Wednesday as the urged President Biden to pardon his criminal son Hunter. Not only him, but his vicious dog who attacked and injured multiple people. The idea of a pardon for Hunter was the first Hot Topic of the show. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg seemed to get the answer they were looking for from the audience since they cheered for the idea and a few people shouted “yes”: GOLDBERG: But there's a much more serious pardon that many people are wondering about and that is people are wondering should Biden pardon his son – [Audience members shouting “yes” and applause] Hunter or does that make him an even bigger target for you-know-who coming in? It's an interesting question, which I pose to you all. Faux conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin was the first to voice her support for Biden to abuse his power for his family’s benefit. “So, personally, I think I would pardon my child. I don't even have kids; I'd bury a body for my child. So, I get it as a personal decision,” she proclaimed.     She went on to say that she was only “a little bit” concerned about what that kind of abuse of power meant for the country: I worry a little bit about the implications for the country and I mean this – not because Hunter Biden affects the country but because there's such a distrust in the powerful, the politically connected, and there's this idea that there is a different system of justice. We just saw Donald Trump, his indictments go away because he's in power. Former federal prosecutor Sunny Hostin flaunted her hypocrisy on gun control and the rule of law by making the utterly insane argument that Hunter should be pardoned because, out of the 334.9 million people in America, “less than .09 percent of the population … are indicted on that [gun] charge.” Hunter Biden lied about his drug use on a federal background check form, which is a felony. The ATF’s website notes: “Applicants who knowingly make false statements may also face criminal prosecution for a felony and up to 10 years in federal prison.” Despite the facts, and without evidence, Hostin declared “that the only reason he was indicted is because his last name is Biden” and “it is the right thing to do to correct course and correct that wrong and pardon his son.” According to pretend independent Sara Haines, Biden had been such a good president and got such a raw deal in being forced out of the presidential race that he somehow earned the right to abuse his power and pardon his son: I agree but I think President Biden always recognized that and still took the higher road of what it meant for the country even in how he talked about it and handled it. But I'm exhausted and I think Biden has taken such a punching this time with all the losing the election -- having to hand it off, the way everything has gone, I feel like this would be the one thing I would wish for him that he could just say, ‘you know what, I'm out and so is Hunter.’ I just wish he could do one thing. As they were wrapping up the segment, Joy Behar chimed in advocate Biden pardoning his out of control dog. “They should pardon those dogs that bit the Secret Service agents. Those dogs need to be pardoned,” she said. Farah Griffin commended the idea: “Justice for Commander Biden! That I'm on board with.” The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: ABC’s The View November 27, 2024 11:05:07 a.m. Eastern (…) WHOOPI GOLDBERG: But there's a much more serious pardon that many people are wondering about and that is people are wondering should Biden pardon his son – [Audience members shouting “yes” and applause] Hunter or does that make him an even bigger target for you-know-who coming in? It's an interesting question, which I pose to you all. ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: So, personally, I think I would pardon my child. I don't even have kids; I'd bury a body for my child. So, I get it as a personal decision. I worry a little bit about the implications for the country and I mean this – not because Hunter Biden affects the country but because there's such a distrust in the powerful, the politically connected, and there's this idea that there is a different system of justice. We just saw Donald Trump, his indictments go away because he's in power. (…) 11:07:06 a.m. Eastern SUNNY HOSTIN: One of the issues that I have is when you look at the charges that Hunter Biden was indicted on, less than .09 percent of the population is indicted on -- are indicted on that charge, and so, it's basically close to zero. So, I actually think that the only reason he was indicted is because his last name is Biden! [Applause] So, if you look at it like that. If you look at it like that, then it is the right thing to do to correct course and correct that wrong and pardon his son. The other piece of this is, Hunter Biden has acknowledged his addiction. He is an addict. And in the law, you know, there are all sorts of ways to handle people that commit crimes because of their addiction. There are drug deferment programs. And he should be someone should be treated bit differently because of the addiction and I would support not only I think his pardon on the illegal gun application one but the other one in California as well. ANA NAVARRO: And you would support it for any other addict after rehabilitation. HOSTIN: Yes. Absolutely. SARA HAINES: Normally I take what you're saying, Sunny, about it’s because his son – because he is the president. HOSTIN: For that particular charge. HAINES: I agree but I think President Biden always recognized that and still took the higher road of what it meant for the country even in how he talked about it and handled it. JOY BEHAR: They should pardon those dogs that bit the Secret Service agents. Those dogs need to be pardoned. FARAH GRIFFIN: Justice for Commander Biden! That I'm on board with. GOLDBERG: And on that we're going to go. We'll be right back.

Subway rider fights back after 'much bigger' passenger slaps him in face, sends his glasses flying

Alexander Rakitin told the New York Post he's been commuting from Brooklyn to Manhattan on the subway for almost three decades — but in the last couple of years he's noticed the danger factor increase.“I think everyone who takes the subway feels scared and nervous,” Rakitin, a father who works in finance, told the Post. “There’s a degree of nervousness all the time. Scanning my surroundings, seeing irate, angry people. People just not following the rules, antisocial behavior, criminal behavior, and aggression.”'Everybody that gets on the subway in the morning knows they're going down into a dangerous place. That's just the reality we live in.'Rakitin experienced all of that dialed up several notches earlier this week in a dangerous encounter captured on cellphone video.Just after 8:30 a.m. Monday, Rakitin was aboard the N train when another passenger became upset, WABC-TV reported. The Post noted that Rakitin, 42, accidentally nudged the knee of 34-year-old Timothy Barbee."He's being aggressive that apparently I sat too close to him, even though I wasn't in an adjacent seat," Rakitin told the station. "It's just he felt that's his personal space, and he was being very aggressive. I told him to just chill out. Like, just chill. It's 8:30 in the morning. Just going to work. Nobody needs this. Just chill out. And he just escalated."Video shows the pair jawing at each other with apparent expletives when Barbee tells Rakitin to "make me chill" and repeatedly orders him to "shut the f*** up." Rakitin tells Barbee that "you started it," and the pair stare each other down. With that, Barbee tells Rakitin, “I ain’t got time to go to jail today" and to "stop staring at me" — and then slaps Rakitin in the face, causing Rakitin's glasses to fly off his head.Rakitin told WABC that while he's had previous encounters on the subway, this was the first time it escalated into physical violence. But Rakitin said he fought back."I got on top of him, and I just grabbed ahold of him," he told the station. "And I was thinking, like, 'Just don't let go because he's much bigger than me.' I don't know what's on his mind, so I was just holding him until the cops came."Rakitin added to WABC that Barbee started calling out for help. What's more, Rakitin told the Post that Barbee — and other passengers — actually began telling Ratikin to let Barbee go.“The only way I can explain it to myself is that the people that saw it start, how it started, they just ran away," Rakitin told the paper. "Most people just ran away into a different train car. And then the people that didn’t see it start only paid attention when I wrestled him to the ground.”The Post said Barbee was arrested after the train pulled into the next stop; he was charged with third-degree assault. WABC said Rakitin wasn't seriously hurt.Barbee declined to comment on the incident after his Tuesday arraignment, the Post reported."Everybody that gets on the subway in the morning knows they're going down into a dangerous place," Rakitin told WABC. "That's just the reality we live in."You can view WABC's video report here about the incident. The Post's video shows the argument, the slap — and then Barbee being led off the train in handcuffs.Like Blaze News? Mayor in South Carolina dies just days after entire town police force resigns

A small town in South Carolina has had quite a difficult week. First, the entire police department resigned over a "hostile work environment" allegedly created by one particularly troublesome councilman. Then, just days later, the town mayor was tragically killed in an automobile accident. On Halloween, Bob Hale submitted a letter tendering his resignation as chief of police of McColl, a small town of some 2,000 residents and the home of the Pee Dee Indian tribe near the North Carolina border. Hale, who became police chief about a year ago, claimed that he had grown tired of the antics of an unnamed councilman.'I hate to see them go. ... But we gonna continue on.'"My personal decision to step away from the McColl Police Department can be attributed to repeated acts of harassment, personal attacks on my character, and the overall creation of a hostile work environment perpetuated by a specific Councilman," Hale wrote in a Facebook post."The majority of my tenure as Chief of Police was spent clearing the names of my officers as well as myself, from the numerous falsehoods that were made against us," he added.Hale further mentioned other "unwarranted and malicious behavior" that he said created a "toxic atmosphere" throughout the entire department, as well as budget cuts that stalled efforts to "modernize equipment, enhance training, and increase staffing levels."Hale said that his last day on the job would be November 22. The other four officers in the department quickly followed suit and resigned as well."At the end of the day, I have a family. And when my job is constantly getting threatened and certain things are getting said, I’m not going to stay somewhere and tolerate that," said former investigator Courtney Bulusan, who resigned on Thursday, according to WRAL."I’m not going to stay where I’m tolerated," she added. "I’m going to go where I’m celebrated."At the time, Mayor George Garner declined to comment on the mass resignations except to say: "I hate to see them go. They were a great group. But we gonna continue on." He also claimed to have received assurances that the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office would oversee the town until a new police chief could be found.Sadly, just days after uttering those remarks, Mayor Garner died.At approximately 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Garner was in a 2007 Chevy Tahoe driving along westbound Highway 34 in Mechanicsville, about 30 miles south of McColl, when he suddenly veered across the center line into oncoming traffic and struck a tractor-trailer, according to WMBF, citing the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Both Garner and the driver of the truck were taken to the hospital. The condition of the other driver remains unknown, but Garner unfortunately passed away from his injuries. He was 49.Darlington County coroner J. Todd Hardee released a statement on Facebook that gave further details about the deadly crash, claiming that a sheriff's deputy had been pursuing Garner at the time of the incident."The pursuit was not related to any laws being broken," Hardee explained. "The pursuit was taking place in an effort to protect the well-being of Mr. Garner."Hardee pledged to release a "ruling on the manner of death" within days. He also asked for prayers for Garner's family and the community as a whole. The crash remains under investigation.H/T: The Post MillennialLike Blaze News? The end of woke sports? Washington Redskins urged to bring back original logo

In 2020, following the death of George Floyd, the Washington Redskins underwent an uptick in pressure from woke sponsors, investors, and the public to drop both their name and logo. Apparently, it was racist. In 2022, the NFL team finally bent the knee and rebranded as the Washington Commanders. However, it’s looking like Trump’s victory may have inspired a reversal. “The Washington Redskins are going to be the Washington Redskins again,” says Jason Whitlock excitedly. “Twenty-two days after the election of Donald Trump, and we have the official end of the woke sports era." Apparently, “The Blackfeet chief and the people in Montana,” who the logo was actually honoring, are “all in support of re-establishing the Redskins logo,” says Whitlock, adding that “there’s even talk that the Commanders may revert back to their name,” as well. “Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I’m going to be giving thanks to the end of this era” and to the “end-dians,” who have “ended wokeness in sports,” he says. However, when you come to the end of an era, especially one that’s been overwhelmingly negative, it’s always good to reflect back on what went wrong. And that’s exactly what Jason is doing by reviewing the top 12 most woke moments in sports. To hear the list, watch the episode above.
