'Stop f***ing around': Rob Reiner says Biden needs to drop out of the presidential race

Actor and director Rob Reiner has joined a growing number of Hollywood celebrities who have lost confidence in President Joe Biden. Reiner, who has been a major Democratic Party donor, urged the president to step down following his poor debate performance against former President Donald Trump late last month, according to Fox News Digital.Reiner took to X to express his disappointment, writing: "It’s time to stop f***ing around. If the Convicted Felon wins, we lose our Democracy. Joe Biden has effectively served US with honor, decency, and dignity. It’s time for Joe Biden to step down." — (@) Reiner has joined the chorus of liberal voices who have lost confidence in the president. Podcaster Joe Rogan, comedian Bill Maher, and the New York Times editorial board are just a few who have suggested that Biden is not fit to stay in office for another four years.Following the debate between Biden and Trump, Reiner hosted a fundraiser for Vice President Kamala Harris on June 29 in Los Angeles. According to Deadline, Harris was candid about the "elephant in the room," seeming to allude to Biden's catastrophic performance on the debate stage.Despite Biden's inability to finish sentences or follow a train of thought on the stage, Harris reiterated that nothing will change merely because of what happened on a single day in June. But it appears that many Democrats are losing faith in Biden's presidency, despite all efforts to dismiss what everyone saw with their own eyeballs.Blaze News previously reported that just 24% of Americans believe Biden could stay up long enough to navigate a Cuban Missile-like crisis. Americans are convinced that Biden's age has had a profoundly negative effect on his ability to lead the nation. It was reported that members of Biden's team said he would not schedule events at 8:00 p.m. or beyond to ensure that the president gets enough sleep.Reiner's comments come after another Democratic Party megadonor, Abigail Disney, who is the granddaughter of Roy Disney, co-founder of the Walt Disney Company, said she planned to withhold cash donations to the party until Biden drops out of the presidential race."I intend to stop any contributions to the party unless and until they replace Biden at the top of the ticket. This is realism, not disrespect. Biden is a good man and has served his country admirably, but the stakes are far too high," she said."If Biden does not step down, the Democrats will lose. Of that I am absolutely certain," she added. "The consequences for the loss will be genuinely dire."Like Blaze News? JD Vance shreds liberal host's narrative and backs Trump's proposal to have Biden investigated

Former President Donald Trump noted in January that if he was ultimately denied presidential immunity in his election interference case, "Then Crooked Joe Biden doesn't get Immunity, and with the Border Invasion and Afghanistan Surrender, alone, not to mention the Millions of dollars that went into his 'pockets' with money from foreign countries, Joe would be ripe for Indictment." Trump added, "By weaponizing the DOJ against his Political Opponent, ME, Joe has opened a giant Pandora's Box." In subsequent months, various Republicans raised the possibility that President Joe Biden and his allies might soon get a taste of their own medicine. For instance, a fundraising email circulated by Rep. James Comer's (R-Ky.) campaign in March noted, "When President Trump returns to the White House, it's critical the new leadership at the DOJ have everything they need to prosecute the Biden Crime Family and deliver swift justice." 'Joe Biden has done exactly that for the last few years and has done far more in addition to that to engage in a campaign of lawfare against his political opposition.' While the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 on July 1 that Trump and other presidents have "absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within [their] conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority," Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) appears more than happy to keep alive the fear among Democrats that upon turning the tables, a Trump administration might similarly engage in lawfare. On Sunday, Kristen Welker of NBC News' "Meet the Press" showed Vance year-old footage of Trump stating, "I will appoint a real special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt president in the history of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the entire Biden crime family." Insinuating such action would be unprecedented, Welker pressed Vance on whether he would support such an initiative as Trump's vice president. Vance, on Trump's shortlist of potential running mates, answered, "I find it interesting how much the media and the Democrats have lost their mind over this particular quote. Donald Trump is talking about appointing a special prosecutor to investigate Joe Biden for wrongdoing. Joe Biden has done exactly that for the last few years and has done far more in addition to that to engage in a campaign of lawfare against his political opposition." "I think what Donald Trump is simply saying is, 'We ought to investigate the prior administration.' There are obviously many instances of wrongdoing," continued Vance. "The House Oversight Committee has identified a number of corrupt business transactions that may or may not be criminal. Of course, you have to investigate to find out." Vance underscored that Trump's desire to investigate Biden is a "totally reasonable thing for him to do and frankly, the Biden administration has done far worse." "If you think that what Donald Trump is proposing is a threat to democracy, isn't what Biden has already done a massive threat to our system of law and government?" added the Ohio Republican. After a hurried attempt to distance the Biden White House from the prosecutions against Trump — entirely sidestepping at least one case wherein prosecutors reportedly met with elements of the White House before taking action against Trump — Welker asked Vance once more whether he would back Trump should he seek justice for Biden. "I would absolutely support investigating prior wrongdoing by our government. Absolutely. That's what you have to have in a system of law and order," said Vance. "But I have to reject the premise here." Vance torpedoed Welker's intimation that lawfare would be unprecedented and that Biden had nothing to do with the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith, noting that Attorney General Merrick Garland — who made the appointment — was not only handpicked by Biden but "answers to Joe Biden [and] can be fired by Joe Biden." After indicating Biden's fingerprints were on the appointment of the special counsel who brought two indictments against his political opponent, the Ohio senator continued poking holes in the talking head's narrative framework. Vance noted that one of the "main guys" engaged in the prosecution of Trump in New York "was a Department of Justice official in the Biden administration who jumped ship to join a local prosecutor's office to go after Donald Trump." Vance was referencing Matthew Colangelo's migration from a senior position in the Biden DOJ — acting associate attorney general, then principal deputy associate attorney general — to a supporting role going after Trump in New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office. Welker immediately went on the defensive, suggesting, "That happens all the time." After indicating Welker's claim that such strategic migrations were common was rubbish, Vance reiterated that Trump's proposal is aimed at "merely reinforcing our system of law and government." NASCAR introduces electric vehicle as part of commitment to 'decarbonization' and 'sustainable' operations by 2035

NASCAR revealed an electric vehicle prototype at a Chicago event and spoke about its plans to "decarbonize" operations. The racing organization showed off its new EV at the Chicago Street Race and published materials riddled with activist jargon regarding sustainability goals that have been heard ad nauseum from large corporations.Touting a mission to strengthen its communities by advancing sustainability, NASCAR partnered with Swedish-Swiss electrical equipment manufacturer ABB.'We actually have the opportunity to evaluate not just the battery electric part, but then also the crossover vehicle part.'The beloved American stock car league's commitments to electrification echo those of the most basic plans put forth by limitless jurisdictions and manufacturers, stating that it would decarbonize its facilities and reach a net-zero carbon footprint in its core operations by 2035. Simply put, while NASCAR said it will still use combustion engines in its cars, it would like to be able to tell people that its nonracing operations are sustainable. "The combustion engine is our core product, and that will remain so for the coming future," Riley Nelson, NASCAR's head of sustainability, told CNN.NASCAR hopes to have 100% renewable electricity at its racetracks and facilities by 2028 and also to have on-site electric vehicle charging stations. The partnership with ABB will supply the infrastructure needed at operational sites. The EV itself, the ABB NASCAR EV Prototype, debuted in 2022 and was an attempt to make race cars look more similar to cars on the street, NASCAR said in a press release. The car has three electric motors (one front, two rear) and regenerative braking. The braking is when an electric vehicle slows its speed to revert surplus energy back to the battery to allow for a longer driving time. This can be an irritating feature of a commercial electric vehicle, as certain driving modes will automatically put the brakes on the EV when it is at very low speeds, such as in a car wash."The pilot programs that we've implemented within operations of our core business, and then also the events, has been going really well," NASCAR's Nelson continued. She added the company is "still in the early stages of this journey."NASCAR’s senior vice president of racing development, John Probst, told CNN that some fans will reject the very idea of electric racing and said that the gas cars are in no immediate danger of extinction. But like Nelson, Probst did not say they will never be eliminated. The company reportedly has plans to change its fuel to become more sustainable in the future as well, despite currently using 85% gasoline and 15% ethanol. "We actually have the opportunity to evaluate not just the battery electric part, but then also the crossover vehicle part," Probst said. "So it may be that one or both of these will become something in the future for us."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. 'Knock you off your feet': Ohio police chief fired for refusing to take a drug test after mayor smells marijuana in his office

A police chief in Ohio has lost his job for refusing to take a drug test after the mayor claimed that she smelled marijuana emanating from his office, according to WXIX. The mayor said the odor was so strong that it would "knock you off your feet."After the issue was brought up, the New Miami Village Council unanimously voted to relieve Chief Harold Webb of his duties on June 27. However, the spat that led to Webb's termination started on June 20, when Mayor Jewell Hayes-Hensley showed up at the police chief's office, along with a council member, to collect Webb's daily logs.In a letter, the mayor wrote that "the first thing that came out of my mouth was who has been smoking weed in here," adding that "the smell of marijuana could knock you off your feet."Before Webb was ultimately terminated, an attorney for the village delivered a letter to his home on June 24. The letter stated that he had until 5:00 p.m. the following day to take a drug test or face disciplinary action, according to the New York Post. Webb reportedly made his way down to the testing site on June 25 but later refused to provide a urine sample in front of a nurse as a witness. Webb said the entire situation was "belittling."Consequently, Webb texted Hayes-Hensley, "You know what you win. This is the third time you have questioned my integrity." He went on to say that he would provide his resignation letter to her that same evening.Despite not taking the drug test, Webb insisted that the smell of marijuana was due to more than 850 grams of marijuana flower the department had seized during a raid earlier this year. However, his explanation did not seem to convince those it needed to.Hayes-Hensley said, "Sorry things didn't work out."“Please turn in all your New Miami Village properties along with your resignation and leave all access to video cameras [and] computers turned over to me," she added.Leading up to the marijuana accusations, Webb had been accused of a slew of other violations. Hayes-Hensley accused Webb of stealing hot dogs from a gas station when only free soda was allowed on duty. She also accused Webb of refusing to respond to 911 calls, "theft of office," falsifying timesheets and daily logs, and cashing paychecks without showing proof that he was at work, according to the Post.Following Webb's dismissal, Hayes-Hensley wrote that it was her duty "to ensure the residents of our community are safe."“Council and I are working very hard to have a greater police presence in our village and do a major cleanup both with crime and housing. It is time that residents of the village of New Miami know they have a mayor and council working to put the community’s needs first and do everything within their power to make the village of New Miami a safe, clean, and thriving community.”New Miami Village has a population of around 2,200 residents.Like Blaze News? Gundam Breaker 4, a co-op Armored Core 6, announces open network test

I'm a huge fan of massive robots beating the crap out of things. My favourite anime is Neon Genesis Evangelion, and the only perfect score I've ever given to a game was FromSoftware's Armored Core 6. That's why I'm so excited about Gundam Breaker 4, a co-op mech game being published by Bandai Namco, which has just announced a new open network test. AMD’s new Radeon GPUs won’t be out until 2025, says latest leak

The next generation of AMD Radeon GPUs apparently won’t be out this year, as previously thought, with the latest rumor stating that the company’s new RDNA 4 GPUs, such as the Radeon RX 8900 XT, won’t be out until 2025. If this is true, that means Nvidia would have the holiday season to itself if it does indeed launch the GeForce RTX 5090 at the end of 2024. So far, two AMD RDNA 4 GPUs have appeared in various bits of documentation. They are the top-end AMD Navi 48 and mid-range Navi 44. However, several previous rumors have also pointed to AMD focusing on the $500-600 part of the GPU market with this launch, and leaving Nvidia to take the best graphics card crown with the RTX 5090 at the top end.
