NY Times Is Out of Control and Insane

The New York Times editorial on June 28 stated unequivocally that they would vote for a senile president over Donald Trump, who ran the country quite well while in office. “If the race comes down to a choice between Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden, the sitting president would be this board’s unequivocal pick. That is […] The post NY Times Is Out of Control and Insane appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Justin Timberlake’s Mugshot Inspired A Portrait On Display In Hamptons Art Gallery

An art piece based on Justin Timberlake’s mugshot is on display in the same Hamptons town where he was arrested for a DWI last month. The 43-year-old singer’s mugshot inspired a limited-edition art piece shown at the Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor, New York. The new installation, reportedly available for purchase in several colors, comes courtesy of artist Godfrey Lohman. A report from Page Six noted that tourists have been lining up to catch a glimpse of the piece. “My reaction was, ‘Oh my God!’ That’s great! It’s just great!” gallery owner Romany Kramoris told Page Six. The so-called “Queen of Sag Harbor” also mentioned that the gallery had sold “two or three” of the art pieces, which cost $520 each. Kramoris added that “a lot of people are coming back.”  Justin Timberlake’s mugshot turned into art at Sag Harbor gallery after Hamptons DWI bust https://t.co/ag37JMtduV pic.twitter.com/8niBDtOkL3 — Page Six (@PageSix) July 2, 2024 “[Timberlake’s mugshot] is our most contemporary piece! It’s au courant,” another gallery employee told the outlet. Timberlake was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two citations, including one for running a stop sign and another for failure to keep in lane, in the early hours of June 18.   A police report obtained by People magazine noted that the pop singer’s “eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”  He also refused to take a breathalyzer test. Documents also said Timberlake claimed, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.” According to reports, the young arresting officer did not recognize Timberlake as a celebrity. “He didn’t recognize him or his name,” the source said. Another witness claimed, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’” Timberlake’s court appearance is currently set for July 26, when he’s scheduled to perform on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour stop in Poland. The “Cry Me a River” singer also has tour dates in the U.S. later this month.

Trump Releases 4th Of July Statement, Slams ‘Highly Incapable President,’ ‘Laffin’ Kamala Harris

Former President Donald Trump released a 4th of July message on Thursday, dropping the hammer on President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and special prosecutor Jack Smith. Trump, who was widely viewed as the winner of the first presidential debate last week, has remained relatively quiet while Biden attempts to assure allies and voters that he has the mental and physical stamina to continue his re-election campaign. Trump released his 4th of July statement hours after a leaked video of the former president calling Biden an “old, broken down pile of crap” went viral on social media. “Happy Fourth of July to all, including to our highly incapable ‘President,’ who uses Prosecutors to go after his Political Opponent, who choked like a dog during the Debate but tried to pretend it was ‘International Travel’ (only 12 days rest!) and, when that gig was up, he blamed it on a ‘cold.’ Therefore, why would anyone say he’s cognitively challenged?” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Also, respects to our potentially new Democrat Challenger, Laffin’ Kamala Harris,” Trump added. “She did poorly in the Democrat Nominating process, starting out at Number Two, and ending up defeated and dropping out, even before getting to Iowa, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a ‘highly talented’ politician! Just ask her Mentor, the Great Willie Brown of San Francisco. Someone else that I have to compliment is a Deranged Biden Prosecutor named Jack Smith, who has become a Legend in his own mind for all of those cases he has lost. The Corrupt Prosecutors are working hard for Crooked Joe, but it will never be enough — MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump is celebrating a string of recent victories, including last week’s debate and the Supreme Court’s ruling that gave him immunity from prosecution for official acts as president, a decision that will likely delay his Washington, D.C., trial past the election. Following Biden’s poor debate performance, Trump has also seen a boost in the polls. The latest polls from New York Times/Siena and The Wall Street Journal give him a six-point lead over Biden nationally. The next few days could be vital for Biden’s re-election campaign as he seeks to recover from what he acknowledged was a poor debate performance. Biden is set to deliver remarks at the White House to a group of veterans and their families on Independence Day, and ABC News will release a pre-taped interview between anchor George Stephanopoulos and the president Friday evening, which is Biden’s first interview since the debate.

Biden Tells Democrats He Needs To Sleep More, Work Less: ‘It’s Just My Brain’

President Joe Biden told Democrat governors this week that he needs to be sleeping more, working less, and needs to stop doing events at night after his embarrassing showing during last week’s presidential debate. The New York Times reported that Biden acknowledged to the governors that he was having fatigue issues — a stark contradiction to White House staffers’ claims in recent days as they seek to quell forces from inside the party that are trying to push him out as polls show former President Donald Trump with a commanding lead over him and the overwhelming majority of voters believe that he is “too old” to be president. Biden told the governors that he was staying in the race as he blamed his poor debate performance on trips that he took weeks prior to the debate. “Biden said that he told his staff he needed to get more sleep,” the report said. “He repeatedly referenced pushing too hard and not listening to his team about his schedule, and said he needed to work fewer hours and avoid events after 8 p.m.” Hawaii Governor Josh Green, a physician, reportedly asked Biden specific questions about his health, to which Biden claimed that he was mostly fine before telling the governors: “It’s just my brain.” The Biden campaign claimed that the president was “clearly making a joke” about his brain even though there has been widespread speculation that Biden is suffering from some form of dementia or Parkinson’s disease. In the week prior to the debate, Biden was on vacation at Camp David where he prepared every day by taking naps and never starting debate prep before 11 a.m. When asked during the White House press briefing on Wednesday whether Biden takes naps every afternoon, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer the question. Click to Skip Ahead Average Hours of Sleep Why Do Cats Sleep So Much? When to Be Concerned If it seems like your cat sleeps a lot, it’s probably because it’s true. Cats love nothing more than having a few cat naps throughout their day. The average number of hours a cat sleeps a day will vary depending on several different factors, including their age and breed. However, healthy adult cats can sleep from anywhere between 12 to 16 hours a day.1 Cats have different sleeping habits than humans, and it can take new cat owners some time to get used to them. Getting enough sleep is vital to a cat’s health and well-being. So, if you’re ever concerned about your cat’s sleeping schedule, consult your veterinarian to determine if your cat’s getting just the right amount of sleep. Average Hours of Sleep for Kittens and Cats The amount of sleep a cat gets in a day can vary depending on their age. In general, young kittens tend to sleep more than adult cats. They can sleep for about 20 hours a day.2 During the hours they’re awake, they’re usually extremely active, curious, and playful. By the time a kitten reaches young adulthood, they require less sleep and will sleep between 12 to 16 hours. The number of hours they sleep will increase again when they start to reach their senior life stage. Senior cats tend to sleep more and move around less, especially as they start to experience mobility loss and other age-related health issues. It’s important to note that cats don’t sleep for multiple consecutive hours at a time throughout the day. They usually sleep for a little over an hour and will engage in some sort of activity before taking another nap. Their sleep is broken up at various parts of their day, and the cumulative amount of sleep they get per day adds up to about 12 to 16 hours. Image Credit: Tucker Horan Media, Shutterstock Why Do Cats Sleep So Much? Cats and humans have different sleep patterns. Most humans are monophasic sleepers, which means that we’ll sleep for one long period, typically at night. In contrast, cats are polyphasic sleepers. This means that they sleep for shorter periods of time throughout the day and night. It’s believed that polyphasic sleeping is beneficial for survival because it enables cats to get rest without falling into deep sleep and being easy prey for natural predators. In the wild, cats will also consume a lot of energy during their waking hours because they’re usually hunting for prey. They have to engage in strenuous activities, like climbing trees and pouncing. So, it’s important for them to get enough rest in between to be able to have enough energy for their next hunt. You may also notice that your cat is most active during sunrise and sunset. This is because they’re crepuscular animals, and these times of day are when they naturally feel energized and ready to hunt and explore. Image Credit: rai106, Shutterstock When to Be Concerned Since sleep is essential to your cat’s well-being, it’s important to familiarize yourself with your cat’s sleep patterns. While cats do sleep a lot more than most humans, sometimes they may sleep too much. Sometimes, cats will oversleep if they’re bored and under-stimulated. Boredom is a significant wellness issue, as bored cats are susceptible to developing behavioral issues, including destruction, over-grooming, and depression. It’s important for cats to get plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction every day to keep them happy and healthy. Sometimes, increased sleep can indicate an underlying health issue or an injury. Injured cats may sleep or rest more to recuperate from their injury and because they’ve lost some mobility. Many health issues, such as hyperthyroidism, diabetes, cancer, kidney disease, heart disease, and liver disease, can also cause increased sleep or changes in sleep patterns. If you notice any sudden changes in your cat’s sleep patterns, it’s best to consult your veterinarian. Your veterinarian can complete a physical exam on your cat and run additional diagnostic tests to diagnose any underlying health issues that may be causing sleep. They can also let you know if the increased sleep is simply due to aging. Conclusion Cats spend about half their day napping or sleeping. Their sleep is usually distributed at various parts of the day, and it’s common for them to nap after they’ve expended their energy from exercising or playing. Since sleep patterns can help you keep track of your cat’s health, make sure to keep an eye on your cat’s sleeping habits. This will help you to act as quickly as possible if they need veterinary care. Also see: How Many Hours Do Kittens Sleep?
