WATCH: Fury at MSNBC After ‘Chevron’ SCOTUS Decision Weakens Unelected Bureaucrats

The talking heads at MSNBC had a conniption over the U.S. Supreme Court daring to gut the power of unelected bureaucrats just whipping up regulations willy-nilly.   On June 28, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in the Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo case to rein in the absurd power usurped by the federal bureaucracy from Congress and the courts. Due to the 1984 Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council decision, federal agencies had to defer to government agencies' interpretations of ambiguous laws. In response to the fall of "Chevron," hosts and guests on a number of MSNBC shows gathered to mourn the inability of unelected bureaucrats to arbitrarily impose their will on American businesses. MSNBC legal analyst Barbara McQuade was arguably one of the most triggered personalities on the network. She cried that the obliteration of the draconian “Chevron” deference was “[A]n attack not only on the working class but also on career professionals in government who develop expertise in their field,” Huh?  McQuade perfectly encapsulated the MSNBC fury by complaining about how the ruling was an attempt to “dismantle the administrative state” and how it was a “real blow to the career professional civil service.” She wasn’t the only MSNBC figure to throw a temper tantrum over the demise of the “Chevron” doctrine. The rest of MSNBC backed her up. MSNBC host Joy Reid railed how the decision will “basically end the government’s ability to regulate the environment, public health, workplace safety and consumer protections. God help us all!” Oh yes, how terrible the government can’t legally be as tyrannical as it was before.  On the June 28 edition of Alex Wagner Tonight, former president of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund Sherrilyn Ifill went after the so-called “arrogant” Supreme Court, before ludicrously arguing that the decision “takes power from Congress, which after all delegated that power to federal agencies,” despite specifically being about ending court deference to executive branch regulators making up their own interpretations on gray areas of the law. She would go on to call for an expansion of the Supreme Court. National Review Editor Philip Klein has made the opposite point, arguing that Chevron disempowered Congress by leading it to “increasingly shirk its obligations of lawmaking and defer authority to agencies.” During the same segment, MSNBC host Alex Wagner suggested that the decision was motivated by “MAGA” concerns about the “deep state.”  On the June 29 edition of MSNBC’s The Weekend, co-host Alicia Menendez gave the game away fretting about an “actual imperial presidency” under former President Donald Trump. Moments before this, Menendez warned that Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts wants to “deconstruct the administrative state” before playing a clip of Roberts discussing Project 2025 and the need to rein in the power of the leftist federal bureaucracy. Menendez did not specify how reducing the power of a future Trump executive branch would empower him to run an imperial presidency. MRC Free Speech America VP Dan Schneider dragged Menendez and her panel, “These MSNBC people are so radical they don’t even see how absurd they are. Taking power away from a future Trump administration necessarily means that Trump’s executive branch would require congressional action before he could take certain actions.” Schneider added, “Now, the elected representatives of the people will have to do their jobs, exercise their Constitutional power and be held accountable by voters for unpopular decisions.” During the same show, Slate senior writer Mark Joseph Stern also vented about the decision. “This decision reflects a lot of hostility toward Congress and how Congress has legislated for the last hundred years or so, right? Congress passes broad laws that are designed to give agencies the ability to address problems on the ground as they arise.” Conservatives are under attack!  Contact MSNBC at (800) 952-5210 and demand they stop shilling for the administrative state.

NBC’s Welker Downplayed Biden Cognitive Concerns Before Dem Revolt

NBC’s Welker Downplayed Biden Cognitive Concerns Before Dem Revolt

The proverbial dam was showing some major cracks on Wednesday as more and more Democrats were publicly raising concerns or flat-out calling for President Biden to step aside and leave the race. The flat spin the Biden campaign found itself in provided for a major opportunity to expose how the liberal media had attempted damage control before things really went into freefall. For instance, NBC Meet the Press moderator Kristen Welker snapped at a Republican for questioning Biden’s mental acuity, before later marveling at Democratic Party panic. As NewsBusters’ Jorge Bonilla reported on Sunday, Welker interrupted North Dakota Republican Governor Doug Burgum when he warned that “we're at a greater national security risk today than we were on Thursday because the Commander-in-Chief showed that he's not capable of serving.”     “Well, there's no proof of that,” Welker interjected before pivoting to what Trump said during the debate, “but Governor, let me just ask you about the debate and a little bit more of what we saw. By one count, Donald Trump made more than 30 false claims during that debate.” Welker’s dismissiveness of Biden’s condition all but evaporated by Wednesday. During a conversation with anchor Craig Melvin, Welker marveled at the “unprecedented moment” and “wave of panic” inside the Democratic Party: MELVIN: How concerned is this White House that this is not something that's going to go away? WELKER: There are deep concerns, Craig, and this is just an unprecedented moment with the president frankly facing more pressure by the day. Look, Democrats, as you say, they've defended President Biden over concerns about his age but things clearly changed since the debate. There's just been a wave of panic within the party based on my conversations and it is significant that those cracks are starting to emerge that you just saw Gabe map out. But the question is, will the pressure be enough for the president to step aside? For his final question, Melvin essentially asked Welker to give the White House advice on how to triage the situation. “Beyond that, Kristen, what else can the White House do? What else should the White House be doing to try and, and, and ease some of these concerns?” he wondered. “They've got to be out front on all of this,” she declared, “and it's just hard to overstate the level of the crisis that they're dealing with given the pressure from their own party.” Welker went on to hype the White House’s efforts to fight back against those expressing concerns and those insisting Biden step aside: Look, I've been talking to officials at the White House overnight within the campaign. They are defiant Craig. They say they are prepared to keep fighting. They tout the fact that they raised $38 million since that debate and you'll see today that all staff meeting at the White House, the president himself will be addressing governors, addressing their concerns all across the country. “Polls show that the top issue for voters still the economy, still the border, not the issue of democracy, although it’s still is an important one,” she huffed. “So, this is just a pivotal moment that we are watching Craig.” The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: NBC’s Today July 3, 2024 7:12:02 a.m. Eastern CRAIG MELVIN: Let's bring in Kristen Welker now, moderator of Meet the Press for a little bit more analysis here. So Kristen, you've got the congressman down in Texas voicing concerns, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi also acknowledging that these questions about the performance -- debate performance are legitimate. It seems as if Democrats were whispering in the days after and now they're starting to say these things out loud. They're going on television. How concerned is this White House that this is not something that's going to go away? KRISTEN WELKER: There are deep concerns, Craig, and this is just an unprecedented moment with the president frankly facing more pressure by the day. Here's what I'm looking for, Craig: What happens to polling in the coming days and weeks? Do donors start to abandon the president and do more lawmakers start to air their concerns publicly? If a top Democrat, for example, starts to come out and call for the president to drop out of the race. That's a game changer. That's when the floodgates really open. Now, look at least one poll shows a slight increase in voters’ concerns about the president's mental and cognitive health to serve as president and that CNN poll that Gabe mentioned also really fascinating showing Vice President Harris doing better against Trump compared to Biden. So, if more polls show a similar trend for the president, donors and elected officials’ concerns could continue to snowball. And here's the rub, Craig, that could potentially threaten Democrats in down ballot races in addition to the presidency and that's when I think you'd see the pressure really mound. MELVIN: Kristen really quickly here, Gabe just mentioned some phone calls that the president plans to make to party leaders this news conference that he's planning for next week. Maybe even sitting down for an interview as well. Beyond that, Kristen, what else can the White House do? What else should the White House be doing to try and, and, and ease some of these concerns? WELKER: They've got to be out front on all of this and it's just hard to overstate the level of the crisis that they're dealing with given the pressure from their own party. Look, I've been talking to officials at the White House overnight within the campaign. They are defiant Craig. They say they are prepared to keep fighting. They tout the fact that they raised $38 million since that debate and you'll see today that all staff meeting at the White House, the president himself will be addressing governors, addressing their concerns all across the country. The campaign plans to make him more visible as you said, and then look for this, Craig -- look for them to really start to focus on that immunity decision in the Supreme Court, which essentially expanded presidential powers, to make their case, to make the president's case that former President Trump would be more dangerous in a second term, that he's been emboldened by this decision. Will the strategy be enough? Polls show that the top issue for voters still the economy, still the border, not the issue of democracy, although it’s still is an important one. So, this is just a pivotal moment that we are watching Craig. MELVIN: Indeed, moderator of Meet the Press, Kristen Welker. Kristen, thank you.

'Trans non-binary' athlete to represent US in women's track event at Paris Olympics

The Summer Olympics are almost upon us, and the U.S. plans to send hundreds of its premier athletes to Paris, France, to compete for gold for the red, white, and blue. Among those athletes will be a female track star who identifies as "trans non-binary," prefers "they/them" pronouns, and even once slammed America for allegedly "hurting trans people."On Sunday, Nikki Hiltz, a 29-year-old female mid-distance runner, finished first in the 1,500 meter event at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, thus punching her ticket for Paris for her first Olympic Games. Throughout the race, Hiltz and Elle St. Pierre, a veteran of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, were neck and neck, but in the final stretch, Hiltz turned on the jets and crossed the finish line with a personal best time of 3:55.33, beating St. Pierre's previous Olympic Trials record by two and a half seconds.'Sometimes I wake up feeling like a powerful queen and other days I wake up feeling as if I’m just a guy being a dude, and other times I identify outside of the gender binary entirely.'Hiltz views her win not only as a personal victory but a victory for the LGBTQ "community" as well. "This is bigger than just me. It’s the last day of Pride Month," she said. "I wanted to run this one for my community."During the race, Hiltz said she "could just feel the love and support" from the "LGBTQ folks." "You guys brought me home that last hundred [meters]," she insisted.Fellow runners St. Pierre and Emily Mackay will also compete for Team USA in Paris. Opening ceremonies for the 2024 Games begin on July 26.Hiltz has been a star athlete since her days competing for the Razorbacks at the University of Arkansas. Her UA bio claims she was a member of the women's track and field team, uses female pronouns for her throughout, and even refers to her as her parents' "daughter."Yet, somewhere along the way, Hiltz decided that she did not like the female label. In 2021, she publicly announced that she identified as "transgender." "That means I don’t identify with the gender I was assigned at birth," she clarified, according to Pink News, an outlet that promotes transgenderism and other LGBTQ issues. She also described herself as gender "fluid." "Sometimes I wake up feeling like a powerful queen and other days I wake up feeling as if I’m just a guy being a dude, and other times I identify outside of the gender binary entirely," she explained helpfully. Her Instagram account is filled with pictures of LGBTQ-related events and causes. She also features many pictures with her romantic partner, Emma Gee, who, according to Pink News, was the first openly LGBTQ+ athlete to compete for Brigham Young University, which is run by the LDS Church. In another Instagram post, Hiltz even thanked NBC and its correspondent for "getting [her] pronouns correct" on a broadcast about another women's 1500m race she won last year.Hiltz may have difficulty determining her gender on a day-to-day basis, but when she travels to France, she will compete in the women's category against competitors she describes as "people" whom she "deeply love[s] and respect[s]."In 2021, the International Olympic Committee sidestepped the transgender issue by deferring to the organizations that govern each individual sport, and World Athletics, which governs international track and field events, has forbidden men to compete in women's events. Women who identify as transgender may compete in men's events "if they have satisfactory signed declarations of their gender identities," NBC News reported.Like Blaze News? 'You know you're gonna quit': UFC's Sean Strickland brutally beats former Navy SEAL in insane sparring session

UFC contender and former champion Sean Strickland viciously beat up a former Navy SEAL in a video that upset viewers and fans.Strickland, fresh off a solid victory over fellow contender Paulo Costa at UFC 302, accepted the chance to spar with a Navy SEAL for five rounds in a caged sparring session. The former SEAL's name is Mitch Aguiar, who actually has MMA experience. Aguiar had 12 amateur bouts between 2013-2017 before turning pro in 2018. He is 2-1 as a professional but hadn't fought since 2020."It always seems like a good idea to spar a world champion until you actually [do it]," former UFC fighter Jake Shields wrote on X, as he recorded the fight.'The only SEAL that said yes … But man … He's one of the real ones.'"You know you're gonna quit, bitch!" Strickland is heard saying in the video. However, showing some restraint, the 185-pound fighter said "sorry" after punching the former armed forces member in the face. "I don't want to knock you out," he added.Playfulness quickly turned into brutality though, with five punishing rounds of sparring sending Aguiar to the canvas multiple times, although he never gave up."Mitch Aguiar is a savage and would beat 99.9 percent of humans in a fight[.] He decided he wanted to spar with Sean Strickland for 25 min," Shields wrote in a subsequent post. "He quickly learned there is a big difference between world champions but regardless he took a brutal beating and didn't quit[,] Sean obviously wasn't looking for a Ko but still dished out a bad beating[.] This is in round 5."Many fans were upset by Strickland's decision to fight the former military man, perhaps not knowing that he is a professional fighter himself. It should also be taken into consideration that Aguiar has never reached the ranks of the UFC nor promotions of similar caliber and fights at a weight class beneath Strickland: 170 pounds."This was disturbing to watch [not going to lie]," a viewer wrote, per Essentially Sports."What's the point of this[,] seriously?" another fan reacted.Other viewers mocked Strickland for not keeping the same "energy" in fights that he has lost in the UFC.Strickland was still cordial after the session and later reportedly praised Aguiar for being willing to step into the ring with him."The only SEAL that said yes … But man … He's one of the real ones. Probably why he was the only one that said yes," he said on an Instagram story.Strickland has taken on opponents from many walks of life in recent years, including another beat down of the much smaller YouTuber nicknamed Sneako.Joe Rogan reacted to that instance negatively, saying it's "not a good look.""He beat the s*** out of that guy. I don't know why he wanted to do that," Rogan continued. "It's not fair," he added.Interestingly enough, Aguiar was included in an answer on a Reddit page from 2018 regarding Navy SEALS and whether or not they could beat up a UFC fighter."A navy seal would beat a ufc fighter in a street fight," the post read. "They are trained in a number of different fighting styles and can not only break your bones by sheer punching power but also from tackling you," the post claimed.A reader pointed directly to Aguiar, who was 1-1 at the time, as an example of how different the disciplines are. He also noted former UFC fighter Brandon Wolff, who finished his career in 2010 with a 7-6 record. Wolff was a SEAL from 1999-2001.Like Blaze News? New York Judge DELAYS Trump sentencing following SCOTUS immunity ruling

New York Judge DELAYS Trump sentencing following SCOTUS immunity ruling

It’s been quite the week for former President Donald Trump. Not only did his debate against President Joe Biden send Democrats scrambling — the Supreme Court ruled that the president has immunity when executing "official acts." Following that decision, Trump’s team moved to overturn the conviction of the former president in the Manhattan case, where he was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records. As a result, Trump’s sentencing hearing has been postponed until September. While many conservatives are taking it as a win, Sara Gonzales remains skeptical. “Part of me is like what else are they planning?” Gonzales says, adding, “They don’t give up that easily.”“It’s either that or they see all of this imploding before their very eyes, and they don’t want to look stupid, so they’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ll just delay it, and then maybe people will forget about it,’” she continues, “But you’ve got to believe that they are completely scrambling to figure out what to do.” “All of these bombshells they thought that they had are now seemingly getting totally overturned,” she adds. Matthew Marsden finds it interesting that the liberal response to the Supreme Court’s ruling has been overwhelmingly one of fear. “It’s amazing how the liberals went absolutely bonkers and said that the Supreme Court ruling was about Trump,” Marsden says. “It’s just about the law; it’s about the Constitution.” Want more from Sara Gonzales? To enjoy more of Sara's no-holds-barred take to news and culture, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Man who is about to interview Biden says media has to explain how dangerous Trump is

ABC News' George Stephanopoulos told "The View" on Wednesday that he believes the mainstream media needs to do a better job at explaining how unprecedented and dangerous former President Donald Trump is to the United States. Stephanopoulos made the remarks ahead of a sit-down interview with President Joe Biden, an effort to jump-start his failing campaign after he failed to reassure the country that he is coherent during last week's debate with Trump.Stephanopoulos' interview with Biden will not be aired live.Host Joy Behar lamented how Trump is beating Biden in nearly every swing-state poll, especially after the debate."I think there’s a lot of reasons for it, but really, I think the most important thing that people should understand about this election is how far from normal it is. We have never had a former president, a presidential candidate, who was impeached and then indicted for trying to overturn an election. Never, in all of our history. We’ve never had a former president, a presidential candidate, who lies about the election that he lost," said Stephanopoulos."We’ve never had a former president or presidential candidate who refuses to pledge to accept the results of the next election if he lost. You know, the peaceful transfer of power is the most fundamental tenet of our democracy," he continued. "Refusing to accept it, I think, is un-American. I believe it’s unconstitutional. And I think it’s the job of the media to put that into context." — (@) Stephanopoulos was communications director for former President Bill Clinton.Stephanopoulos' interview with Biden will not be aired live. Instead, portions of it will air on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET on “World News Tonight with David Muir," with the full interview airing Sunday on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”The interview is being seen, even by Biden, as a make-or-break moment for Biden's re-election hopes. If he does poorly, even though the interview will be edited, then he may well step aside from being the Democrats' nominee. As the pressure continues to mount before the interview has been conducted, it is possible that it does not matter at this point if he does well with Stephanopoulos' questions.Like Blaze News?
