Joe Biden must go — now

Joe Biden must go — now

It’s nearly July 4, which means it’s “lives, fortunes, and sacred honor” time. You simply should never fire up the grill and eat that hot dog until you’ve done some reflecting about the cost of your citizenship in the greatest country ever devised by man. That is undoubtedly truer than ever in 2024 as our birthright is seemingly imperiled at every turn. For example, my email inbox and X feed is concerned that if we push too hard, per the designs of U.S. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) introducing a resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives to invoke the 25th Amendment following Joe Biden’s dementia-ridden debate, it may backfire politically in the end. Pondering whether Democrats will swap out Biden for a more electable candidate isn't a conclusion from actual sober reflection, especially since the winner of the upcoming election won't be sworn in for another 205 days. Instead, it’s suicidally foolish.Without question, the American people and their interests are in greater danger now than they were before the presidential debate.A lot of hell could break loose over the next 205 days, especially now that the whole world saw — once and for all — the president of the United States is clearly incapacitated and therefore cannot actually be running the country. Who’s in charge, then? We don’t know. Neither do our allies and enemies. So, while this upcoming election is very important, we need to get to that election first before all we have left is a pile of smoldering ash to govern. We simply cannot have someone who couldn't pass a corporate management competency hearing, be certified to become a foster parent, or even obtain a driver's license be the one who is in possession of the nuclear codes. Full stop.I realize that all the signs of Biden’s mental collapse have been there during his entire term for those of us who have been paying attention or are not merely idolatrously partisan Democrats. But at least 80 million Americans watched the debate on their TVs or live online, and that doesn’t count the viral clips tens of millions more people saw later. Everyone has now seen what we have been seeing. It can no longer be ignored. This is why the same lying "media" that ran with "cheap fakes" and "right-wing conspiracies" just a week ago regarding Biden’s health is now all-in that Biden must step aside. This has even permeated into "sports bro" subculture (as @DeaceOnline refers to it), with sports media people who rarely if ever address politics discussing the debate and its aftermath. It's as if the White House apothecary who was charged with keeping Biden lucid missed and hit us instead. We are awake, but for how long will the memes, trolls, and commentary that political junkies like us are regularly mired in also remain in the consciousness of the general public?I believe the public has been awakened to the point that the Biden 2024 campaign is now finished. The only question is whether Biden is shunted aside at the Democratic National Convention in August or on Election Day in November. But a lot of bad can happen between now and then. It’s not enough to make this merely about an election outcome because there is still a country to run right now, and that is what Americans must not take for granted. Not today. Not ever. But that’s exactly what they have been for a while now, which has as much to do as anything with why our nation is in such a sorry state on so many fronts. We are no longer citizens in any true sense. We are waaaaaaay too comfortable and simply don’t want to be bothered with the responsibility of “We the People.”I believe many Americans resent — yes, resent — having to be involved in politics at all. They would rather have an expert class of bureaucrats permanently take the wheel so they can get on with whatever makes them comfortably numb. For such is the person who is fine with Biden remaining in power until January 2025 as he struggles to string sentences together and walk downstairs. Not only is that unacceptable, but it is simply un-American.“A Republic, if you can keep it,” Ben Franklin said. Well, can you?Our enemies are watching. They know they are on borrowed time as well. Donald Trump keeps saying that if he were president, Putin wouldn't have invaded Ukraine and points out Putin only went on the war path under Obama and then Biden, not him. So, if the guy who drops MOABs and signs the Abraham Accords is set to return, the tyrants of the world know that now is the time to strike with mischief and malevolence while the moment is still available.Without question, the American people and their interests are in greater danger now than they were before the presidential debate. We can all celebrate an event 205 days away right now until one morning we wake up and Pyongyang has gone October 7 against Seoul during one of the many days in between. And then stuff will get real, and fast. The kind of stuff that will make you wonder if you will even have another election to look forward to.We must put the country first, and what better time to do that than July 4. Yes, it is a hard pill to swallow, but it is an act of patriotic duty to remove Joe Biden from office right now. Because this is fundamentally about far more than one incapacitated man. It is about who we are called to be as a free people, and it may even be about our very survival. There is no time to waste.

'This isn't therapy': Kevin Costner shuts down questions about his ego being too big for 'Yellowstone'

Kevin Costner shut down questions surrounding his return to "Yellowstone" and allegations about demands he may have made in order to continue making the show.Costner sat down with "CBS Mornings" host Gayle King, who tried to take a deep dive into the actor's psyche and the reasons behind why he didn't plan on making more episodes of the hit show. The actor told King that he "loved the show before anybody," and his feelings toward it haven't changed."The truth never changes. That love was really strong. The idea of going back; I would do that in a second if I felt that it was something that I could do, wanted to do, I would make, I would make it fit."However, the 69-year-old host was insistent on figuring out what issues were going on between Costner and "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan. Sheridan writes, directs, and produces the show.King suggested that the two were in a battle of competing egos, asking, "Whose is bigger, Kevin?" at one point. 'I have no choice, my children are looking at me, so I can't wilt like a daisy, I have to go forward.'King then relayed allegations to Costner that he has been difficult to work with and has made a series of demands that must be met in order for him to film more episodes of the show:"The characterization of you isn't necessarily flattering. You made demands, you want to have a certain schedule, you want to shoot at a certain time, you want certain money," she listed. "If it's not that hard, why can't the two of you be able to work it out? People would love to see that," she continued. Costner wasn't keen on opening up emotionally to the host."This isn't therapy, Gayle. We're not going to discuss this on the show really, honestly.""I'm a good therapist," King replied jokingly. Costner didn't think the accusations were very funny."I've conducted my life in a pretty straightforward way. I've never missed any obligations in my entire career, so the idea is wide open for me. It just happens to be like, can I fall in love with the writing, can I fall in love with the part that wants to go forward?"Costner announced in a video in late June 2024 that he wouldn't be able to continue with the show after something had "really changed.""I won't be returning," he added in the announcement. From one sensitive topic to another, King brought up Costner's high-profile divorce from Christine Baumgartner after 20 years of marriage."You went through a very public divorce, so I am curious about how you're doing ... head-wise and your heart-wise," King asked.Still very serious, Costner was straightforward in his answer."That's a crushing moment. It's powerful, it hurt, but I go forward. I have no choice, my children are looking at me, so I can't wilt like a daisy, I have to go forward. I have to continue to be who I am and keep a special eye on who they are," he explained.Costner just finished production on "Horizon: An American Saga," where he worked with his teenage son Hayes. The Western star called the opportunity to work with his son "a dream come true."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Black leaders cry racism after former Chattanooga police chief indicted for forgery, perjury

A woman with decades of police experience has now found herself on the wrong side of the law after she was slapped with more than 10 felony counts related to lying on official documents. In 2022, Celeste Murphy was named the first black female police chief of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She had an impressive resume, having risen through the ranks to become deputy chief of the Atlanta Police Department before she made the move to Tennessee.Or did she?In April, District Attorney Pro Tem David Michael Dunavant asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to look into Murphy and her state of residence. Reports indicate that she entered various Chattanooga addresses on her Tennessee driver's license application, voter registration form, and a residency affidavit from the Department of Safety and Homeland Security. However, at least one person living near one of those residences claimed never to have seen her. Another residence reportedly belonged to the family of a police sergeant who denied that Murphy ever lived there. And thus far, Murphy has not voted in Hamilton County, Tennessee.Murphy did allegedly claim a property tax exemption for a home she bought in Fulton County, Georgia, several years ago, though, which raised red flags. Back in March, she said that she would work to resolve the state residency discrepancies, but records show she is still apparently receiving the Georgia tax break. Her contract with Chattanooga required her to reside in Tennessee. Plus, lying on many official documents is considered perjury."During the investigation, agents determined Murphy knowingly entered false information on several government documents related to establishing residency in Chattanooga, though swearing to their truth in signing the documents," said a TBI press release.'Last year in the city of Chattanooga, 77 percent of homicides claimed the lives of black men, women and children of all of those that were cleared. Every single one was a black perpetrator. I don't recall a press conference speaking out against those killers.'On Wednesday, 56-year-old Murphy resigned her position as police chief in Chattanooga effective immediately. "While the circumstances surrounding the situation have been challenging, I respect her desire to preserve the integrity of the Chattanooga Police Department," Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly said. The following day, Murphy surrendered to the Hamilton County jail on 14 total counts, 11 felonies, and three misdemeanors. The charges against her include illegal voter registration, false entries on official registration or election documents, false entries in governmental records, forgery, perjury, and official misconduct. She quickly bonded out of custody after posting $19,000 bond. She has another hearing scheduled for July 12.Murphy will receive a 90-day severance package from the city, totaling more than $44,000. She also enjoys the support of many local black pastors, many of whom believe she is the victim of racism and sexism."This attempt to discredit an African-American woman in leadership reeks of petty partisan politics with dangerous outcomes if applied uniformly," Dr. Ernest Reed, pastor of Second Missionary Baptist Church, said at a press conference on Monday morning about Murphy's indictment."She has challenged the status quo, advocating for a fair and impartial environment. Her commitment to high standards, independent thinking and community engagement has made a tangible positive difference. We are not addressing individuals, but a pervasive spirit of resistance to change and justice," he continued.Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp, who recused herself from the Murphy case, slammed the black leaders who had gathered just outside her office for their press conference, implying they were little more than race hustlers who care more about the political expediency of Murphy's case than "than they do about black lives.""Last year in the city of Chattanooga, 77 percent of homicides claimed the lives of black men, women, and children. Of all of those that were cleared, every single one was a black perpetrator," she said to the black leaders. "I don't recall a press conference speaking out against those killers. I don't recall a press conference where you stand up and are the voice of victims. "Maybe I wasn't invited to that one.""I do not recall a press release or a press conference in which you call for a ceasefire in your own community," Wamp continued. "I don't recall you saying prayers outside of this courthouse as you are losing dozens of members of your community every single year.""This is not about race," Wamp added. She declined to comment on Murphy's case.At least one major police organization, the Fraternal Order of Police, does not seem to be supporting Murphy's cause. "It is a disappointing day for law enforcement when an Officer or Chief is indicted for acting outside the law and tarnishes the badge we all proudly wear," the group said in a statement."We will support our interim Chief and will offer our support to the Mayor’s Office in the search for Chattanooga’s next police chief."Harry Sommers, executive police chief of Chattanooga Police Department, has been named interim police chief while a search begins for a permanent replacement.Like Blaze News? WATCH: Joe Biden’s face during Jill’s speech SCREAMS elder abuse

After last week’s debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, almost everybody — including many Democrats — is calling for Joe Biden to step down as the Democratic presidential candidate. Policies aside, he’s simply too old and senile for the job. For a while, the left tried to deny Biden’s cognitive decline, but that’s finally shifting. Not for Jill Biden, though. Clearly she’s going to hang on until the bitter end. At a recent speech at one of Biden’s campaign rallies, Jill told the crowd, “I saw in [Joe] then the same character that I see in him today. And even though he has faced unimaginable tragedies, his optimism is undaunted. His strength is unshakable. His hope is undeterred!” While the speech itself is pathetic, Biden’s face is all the more so. Elder Abuse! When Will Jill Biden and The Democrats Stop This Charade?! www.youtube.com “The tragedy, Jill, is that you’re doing this to him,” says Sara Gonzales. “This is clearly elder abuse, and she seems to be thrilled about it.” “You can go back and watch the way he would speak 30 years ago, and he was intelligent, he had a good charisma about him, and to allow whatever legacy that would have been in Democrat circles to become this,” says BlazeTV contributor John Doyle, adding that what Jill is doing is paving the way for Biden to be “ritually humiliated.” Sara agrees, adding, “The thing that does make me sad about this is … nobody in Joe Biden’s family loves him enough to say, ‘that’s enough; we’re done here.”’ Want more from Sara Gonzales? To enjoy more of Sara's no-holds-barred take to news and culture, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

If you’ve avoided Far Cry 6 so far, now’s the time to give it a try

Far Cry 2 is still the best one. It’s brutal, nasty, uncompromising, and has some of the most frightening gun battles in FPS game history. Ever since Assassin’s Creed 2 in 2009, it feels like every Ubisoft open-world game - or just open-world games generally - have followed a similar model, a model that’s gradually spoiled the Far Cry series. Check map. Drive to outpost. Kill everyone. Take over outpost. Repeat. If players rejected Far Cry 6 at launch, it’s because this formula had gone unchallenged and unchanged for too long. The experimental days of Far Cry 2 are long over. Nevertheless, there are reasons to try the 2021 sandbox FPS sequel, especially now, when it’s the cheapest it’s ever been. Apple’s Vision Pro: five months later

Image: Alex Parkin / The Verge The Apple Vision Pro is many things. But for us, and for many other users, it’s one thing in particular: a really, really, really big screen. Since Apple started shipping its spatial computing headset five months ago today, we’ve tested the device as a TV, a computer monitor, a game console, a mega-chill way to relax on the beach, and much more. On this episode of The Vergecast, we talk about the past, present, and future of the Vision Pro. We chat with The Verge’s Wes Davis and Victoria Song about their experiences with the device, along with what they’ve liked and what they’d like to change. It seems pretty clear that the first version of the device wasn’t a groundbreaking, market-moving hit, so what next? Apple is reportedly working... Continue reading…
