NJ makeup artist was warned by her father about ex-boyfriend before she was murdered: Report

Just before special effects artist and burgeoning social media influencer Stephanie Parze went missing on the day before Halloween in 2019, she reportedly told her family that she was spooked about living in her New Jersey home, according to People Magazine.Stephanie's sister, Brianna Parze, said her sibling called "my mom in a panic" in October 2019, "saying that the house was haunted or possessed."Twenty-five-year-old Stephanie called her family to say that she had spotted a strange handprint on her bathroom mirror "that looked like somebody put their hand on it and dragged their fingers down, like somebody was seeing a horror movie," according to Stephanie's father, Ed Parze.A few days after she told her family about this strange development, her pet parakeet was found dead at the bottom of its cage. And just a month after this incident, Stephanie mysteriously vanished.'She always called and texted whenever she got home. But when 25 minutes went by, and we didn’t hear anything, we immediately knew something was wrong.'Despite Stephanie alluding to something mysterious and perhaps supernatural happening in her home, Ed immediately thought his daughter's ex-boyfriend might have something to do with her disappearance, according to Fox News Digital."I didn’t like this person from the day I met him," Ed shared with Fox News. "There wasn’t ever any eye contact with this guy. He was in and out. I even said to my daughter, ‘I’m not liking this. You’ve got to be careful with him.’ He was strange. I had a gut feeling from day one. … I just said, ‘It’s him.’"The disappearance of the New Jersey makeup artist is being explored in Investigation Discovery's true-crime series, "Deadly Influence." The show specifically delves into the dark side of social media, and how online communities can suddenly turn dark and sometimes deadly.Ed said he is "speaking out because we need to get the awareness out so that this doesn’t happen to anybody else. It also keeps Stephanie alive." He went on to describe his daughter as a 4-foot-11 firebrand who had a deep passion for artistry. Consequently, she quickly amassed a substantial following on social media."I didn’t realize that she had an influence on social media like she did until after the incident," Ed conceded. "I knew she was doing things on social media and putting some art out there. She would always send me stuff, and I thought it was amazing. But I didn’t realize how fast it took for her to build a following."Stephanie eventually turned to an online dating site where she met John Ozbilgen, a stockbroker from New Jersey. The two initially interacted on social media before ultimately meeting in person. However, Ed said the development was quick and he did not feel right about Ozbilgen. Later on, Stephanie accused Ozbilgen of assault, and she wanted to put an end to the relationship. While Ed said he tried to warn his daughter about Ozbilgen, she insisted that her father should give the 29-year-old stockbroker a chance."What do you say to that? You have my 25-year-old independent, strong daughter. She knows what she’s doing," Ed said. "You would hope that you’re proven wrong. But I still had that gut feeling. And then my gut feeling was right."Stephanie was last seen on October 30, 2019. She departed her parents' home after spending a night out with relatives. She drove to her late grandmother's nearby home but failed to show up for a nanny job the following day. Her phone and car were discovered at the house, but there was no sign of a break-in."Stephanie only lived about six minutes from here," Ed said. "She always called and texted whenever she got home. But when 25 minutes went by, and we didn’t hear anything, we immediately knew something was wrong."Though family members tried to get in touch with her, Stephanie did not reply to any of the messages. As a result, the Parze family organized a search party to help find Stephanie."I used to go on Facebook every night and just start putting posts out there," said Ed. "More and more people came forward wanting to help. It pulled at my heartstrings. … I didn’t realize how far these posts had reached out to people. … Many people just recognized Stephanie from her face and being online all the time."Investigators quickly identified Ozbilgen as a person of interest. He had reportedly sent Stephanie 10 angry unanswered messages the night before she went missing. On November 8, 2019, Ozbilgen was arrested and charged with child pornography. Images were found on his phone while authorities were investigating Stephanie's disappearance. He remained in custody until November 19, when he was ultimately released.Just three days after he was released, Ozbilgen committed suicide. Though he was never charged in Stephanie's disappearance, he reportedly left behind a note that indicated he was responsible for killing her.Stephanie's remains were later found in Old Bridge by two teenagers.Like Blaze News? 16 years after launch, Castle Crashers bounces back on Steam

First launched in 2008, delightful 2D hack-and-slash action game Castle Crashers was a highlight of Microsoft’s first Xbox Summer of Arcade. FF14 Dawntrail’s “urgent issues” are being fixed, Yoshi-P apologizes

Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida issues an apology for the Dawntrail launch problems, as he promises that Square Enix is working to “promptly correct any urgent issues” that have cropped up in 7.0. All told, though, Dawntrail has been a miracle. The launch queues of Endwalker are virtually non-existent now, and the handful of bugs are either already fixed or not even close to game-breaking. This is how you launch an MMORPG expansion, and everyone else needs to take note. Patriotic Mixed Berry Dessert

Patriotic Mixed Berry Dessert is a no bake dessert featuring pound cake, whipped topping, pie filling, vanilla pudding mix, and berries. Perfect to celebrate the 4th of July! A RED WHITE AND BLUE DESSERT This Patriotic Mixed Berry Dessert is a no bake 4th of July dessert that’s easy to throw together and serve when you need a refreshing dessert recipe. I love a good no bake recipe, especially in the summer so I don’t have to turn on the oven. And this Sumer has already been so hot! So anytime I don’t have to make the house hotter is even better! This recipe takes a few different premade things and layers them together to make a beautiful dessert that tastes delicious too! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:  What kind of pound cake should I use? I used the pound cakes from Walmart in the bakery section. They’re simple to use. They’re premade and take no extra time. But you can purchase the Sara Lee Pound Cakes that are in the frozen section of the grocery store. You’ll need to thaw them first and you’ll need 1 1/2-1 3/4 pound cakes since the Sara Lee pound cakes are 16-ounces a piece. If you have more room in your baking dish, feel free to add more. Since this is a layered dessert, it doesn’t have to be an exact amount, it just has to fill your dish. Can I make this the night before? Sure! I like to make this the day ahead of when I plan to serve it so I know it’s chilled and ready to go. Can I decorate this to look like a flag? Yes, this would be a cute cake to decorate like an American Flag. Get creative and put the blueberries in the top left cover and then make lines with the strawberries to look like the red and white stripes of the flag. If you want to put the few extra minutes of work, you can really create a beautiful dessert. What other fruit could I use? Instead of the berries, you could use or add some sliced bananas or other berries. If you don’t plan on eating this the day that you make it, just know that the bananas will start to brown over time unless you coat them in something like citric acid. This isn’t something I tend to do because I think it messes with the other flavors of the dish, but if you don’t mind it, you could try to mix the bananas with some if you were planning on serving this more than just the day that you make them. Can I freeze leftover no bake Patriotic Mixed Berry Dessert? I don’t recommend it. How do I store leftover Patriotic Cake? Leftover cake should be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE) strawberry pie filling– you can use store bought or homemade pie filling pound cakes– Pound cakes could also be swapped out for Angel Food Cake if you want a lighter dessert. Since they’re pretty thick, you may only need one of them. Pay attention to your baking dish as you’re layering the dessert to decide if more is necessary or not. instant vanilla pudding mix cold milk sour cream– if you don’t like sour cream, just leave it out and just let the pudding and Cool Whip stand strong. If you really want to use something in its place, try using vanilla extract or plain Greek yogurt. I do think the sour cream cuts the super sweetness of everything else and you don’t taste it as a separate ingredient. whipped topping– I used the middle size tub of Cool Whip that’s 12 ounces. They make an 8-ounce, 12-ounce and 16-ounce tub. If you can’t get the 12 ounce one, go for the 16-ounce, it won’t make much of a difference. fresh blueberries and strawberries HOW TO MAKE A PATRIOTIC MIXED BERRY DESSERT Into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish, evenly spread the strawberry filling. Evenly spread the diced pound cake on top of the strawberry pie filling layer.  Next in a bowl, add the instant pudding, cold milk and sour cream. Whisk together until smooth. Then gently stir in about 4 ounces (about a third) of the whipped topping. Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the pound cake layer.  Then gently stir the layers together (don’t stir until it looks completely mixed, just enough to make sure the pound cake pieces are coated.) Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the top of the cake. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight. Before serving, add fresh blueberries and diced fresh strawberries on top.  Then slice and serve!  CRAVING MORE RECIPES?  4th of July Party Recipes Patriotic Sugar Cookie Bars 4th of July Flag Dip 4th of July Rice Krispies Treats Red, White and Blue Cupcakes Red, White & Blue Jell-O Cups Patriotic Homemade Funfetti Cake Patriotic Jell-O Marshmallows Red, White & Blue Jell-O Shots Berry Cookie Cups Print Patriotic Mixed Berry Dessert Patriotic Mixed Berry Dessert is a no bake dessert featuring pound cake, whipped topping, pie filling, vanilla pudding mix, and berries. “The House of the Rising Sun” By The Animals Is Still The Definition Of Timeless

Folk songs are those special little ditties we know without having to think, humming them as easily as breathing. For how popular they are, though, it wasn’t until the Animals put together their version of “The House of the Rising Sun” that we got a true, certified folk rock hit of unprecedented commercial success, scoring a big win for the band and us music lovers. The Animals, who reigned as kings of the jungle during the British Invasion, took a risk when they pursued “The House of the Rising Sun.” Fittingly, everything about their journey to make this narrative-driven folksy song part of their repertoire is unorthodox. But every unusual, daring step they took helped the Animals compose a revolutionary version of the song that to this day has listeners marveling at just how long we’ve been enjoying it without fail. The Animals listened to their guts working on “The House of the Rising Sun” Like plenty of folk songs out there, the original “The House of the Rising Sun” has origins steeped in mystery, with some stories pointing to 1930s Appalachia and others asserting it’s a direct relative of English folk music tradition. But one thing’s for sure: when Eric Burdon heard it song by Northumbrian folk singer Johnny Handle at a Newcastle, England club, he was smitten. RELATED: “Ain’t No Sunshine” By Bill Withers Is A Love Song Unlike Any Other So, while they were on tour with Chuck Berry, the Animals started getting real acquainted with the cautionary tale, rolling beat, and homey feel. Bereft of the gift of foresight, producer Mickie Most was completely unimpressed—wary, even—of the Animals getting so attached to the song. So, they made a point in the grandest way possible: they closed a joint concert with “The House of the Rising Sun.” Normally, bands would close with the real bangers, the stuff that sent already-high adrenaline levels rocketing off the charts, just like their album sales, hopefully. The feel from “The House of the Rising Sun” was something totally different—and concertogers fell head over heels in love with it. Even better, it cleared Most’s doubts and the Animals finally got approval from dad to produce something from it in earnest. Time flies when you have great tunes to listen to The band received some pushback but was determined to try this song / Everett Collection Their little concert closer experiment proved the best use of the scientific method known to music. Then, on one magical day on May 18, 1964, they did it, the Animals composed “The House of the Rising Sun” in just one take. It took just one round of music magic to make something that has fans fawning over this subdued yet enduringly catchy tune 60 years later. Over on YouTube with a modest 59 million views, “The House of the Rising Sun” has fans wondering things like “Who is listening in June 2024?” To this, another user fittingly summed up, “Stop asking if somebody still there We are always here.” But perhaps the best summary comes from a comment that puts it all into perspective, saying, “Its weird to think. This song is 60 years old. In 40 years, it will be 100 years old. If we are still listening 60 years later, we will be listening 100 years later.” The Animals made The House of the Rising Sun a classic beloved by all generations / YouTube screenshot That’s because they did something really special with this version of the song. Us listeners can easily tell that Burdon’s lead vocals are rugged as the English countryside and we know this would never sound quite the same sung by anyone else. It helped the four-and-a-half-minute-long song defy the odds that said pop hits couldn’t be that long. That’s where the trends were so very wrong; “The House of the Rising Sun” reminded us that the best things in life ask us to stop for a bit and bask in what they have to offer. Despite the trends of the time, bask we did, making “The House of the Rising Sun” the first folk rock hit. Burdon once said “We were looking for a song that would grab people’s attention,” and it just takes one listen to see—and hear—that the band achieved exactly that. To this day, fans know there will be listeners coming back to this track for decades to come / Everett Collection Click for next Article The post “The House of the Rising Sun” By The Animals Is Still The Definition Of Timeless appeared first on DoYouRemember? - The Home of Nostalgia.
