Dems Click Off MSNBC and Discover There’s No Place Like Home

Cut the lights. Cue “The Sounds of Silence.” Crawl under the covers. This amounts to the post-election routine of our Almira Gulches hit by a reality tornado. Their habits certainly no longer include cable news mesmerism — and hopefully not euthanizing people’s pets, either. In the first full week after the election, MSNBC suffered its lowest ratings this century. Morning show hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski made a heel-turn pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago to chitchat with the man they so recently likened to Adolf Hitler. The Wicked Witch of the Northeast endured a painful pay cut. The parent company subsequently announced its decision to spin off the network (and most of its other cable channels), presumably to prepare for sale. Then Elon Musk pondered the idea of buying MSNBC as he did Twitter. “If you buy MSNBC I would like Rachael Maddow’s job,” Joe Rogan tweeted. “I will wear the same outfit and glasses, and I will tell the same lies.” Then Donald Trump Jr. piled on. “Ok @elonmusk & @joerogan,” the tweeter-in-chief posted. “Since this is getting interesting I’ll throw my hat in the ring as well. I’ll mimic Lawrence O’Donnell… minus the castration of course. That’s a bridge too far.” It demoralized everyone at the network save Chris Hayes, surely relieved that Trump picked O’Donnell to pick on. Why did Rachel Maddow’s fan club stop showing up to the meetings? “We’re all absorbing a lot about what this win is going to mean, and the last thing I need is a lot of things that raise my blood pressure,” Brandon Wilson, a 53-year-old professor whose commute to the soundtrack of MSNBC on satellite radio stopped the day after the election, told The Washington Post. “Like blaming the candidate for some obvious problems with the electorate, like misinformation and disinformation.” Not every wokester cries themselves awake. Without the disorienting effect of politics, many see their lives go from black-and-white to color. Andrew DelPonte, a teenager who had started his days by listening to NPR and read all 900+ pages of the Project 2025 report, now demurs from politics. “I’m putting my energy into redecorating my room,” he told the Washington Post. “I was maybe so overinformed going into this election that now I just need to take a step back. Things I think I have control over is what is helpful right now.” Drew Stanecki, a 36-year-old Virginian, turned off his notifications for the New York Times and Washington Post content. “I’m taking a general break and living in a smaller world for the next few months,” he told the Washington Post. “And that’s okay.” It is, and healthy, too. The behavior of progressives for much of the last eight years earns a designation of sick. People who dismiss God showed that they still require a devil, whom they created in Donald Trump. They became obsessed with the ability of strangers in a faraway city to rain unhappiness or happiness upon them depending upon the letter next to their name. It all — the assaults upon statuary, the scolding of neighbors to wear this mask or get that shot, the delusion that the Kremlin installed their own in the White House, the righteous censorship of those who rebelled, the post-presidential impeachment reminiscent of Oliver Cromwell’s posthumous execution — struck as a cope. If you have no life, anyone’s, nay, everyone’s will do. They gained satisfaction or discontent from distant matters not even tangentially connected to them. They wanted power over you because they lacked it in themselves. Activists paradoxically imagined themselves as passive pawns lacking control of their own well-being. Simultaneously, they wished to control the lives of others through a total-politics program of mandates, censorship, canceling, and so much else that is mercifully waning. Believing that Washington, like the Wizard, can deliver your wants and needs (a brain, a heart, courage, or even free gender-reassignment surgery) sets one up for disappointment. Progressives are the people who obeyed the command: Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. Left-wingers now learn that there’s no place like home. It certainly beats hanging out with pixilated, imaginary friends on MSNBC. Maybe switch over to TBS. They tend to play a certain movie from 1939 this time of year. READ MORE from Daniel J. UKRAINE WAR RAW TRUTH REVEALED BY A HARDCORE HAWKER OF……

from State Of The Nation: SOTN Editor’s Note: Honestly, it does not get any worse than this naked display of war-profiteering by a sitting U.S. Senator.  Only a hardcore Neocon Zionist warmonger like Sen. Lindsey Graham would have the unabashed chutzpah to utter the following despicable words about the Russo-Ukraine War. The Republican senator from South Carolina […]

DISRUPT, DEFUND, DEPORT, DENY, DESTROY

by Jim Quinn, The Burning Platform: “At home, fellow citizens, you best know whether we have done well or ill. The suppression of unnecessary offices, of useless establishments and expenses enabled us to discontinue our internal taxes. These covering our land with officers, and opening our doors to their intrusions, had already begun that process […]

Monaco '79 - A new Amiga game inspired by Sega's classic 1979 arcade game 'Monaco GP'

Here's another Amiga news story for you all, as the first game we featured was a nod to a classic shooter called 'Battle Squadron'. This game however called Monaco '79 by No Nonsense Games, is a new Amiga game inspired by Sega's classic 1979 arcade game 'Monaco GP. As in the words of the creator "A 2D, top-down, fast-paced, vertically scrolling racer for the Commodore Amiga (OCS/ECS).&

Master of Minefields - Check out this upcoming 'Minesweeper' game for the Commodore Amiga by Digital Worlds Studio

Ahh Minesweeper, a game that so many of us have played at least once! Although it wasn't my type of game however, it certainly had its cult following. For those of you who don't remember anything about this puzzler. Players had to clear the board of numbers without coming across deadly exploding bombs using help from clues about the number of neighbouring mines in each field. So why are we
