Walmart, the nation’s largest private employer, has joined the list of corporations to roll back its DEI initiatives. Conservative activist and filmmaker Robby Starbuck reported on the massive news. “Walmart is ending their woke policies. I can now exclusively tell you what’s changing and how it happened. Last week I told execs at @Walmart that I was doing a story on wokeness there. Instead we had productive conversations to find solutions. Below are the changes Walmart committed to. I have to give their executives major credit because this will send shockwaves throughout corporate America. This is the biggest win yet for our movement to end wokeness in corporate America,” Starbuck said. Starbuck listed the changes Walmart committed to: • Surveys: Walmart will no longer participate in the HRC’s woke Corporate Equality Index. • Products: Monitor the Walmart marketplace to identify and remove inappropriate sexual and / or transgender products marketed to children. • Funding of Grants: Review all funding of Pride, and other events, to avoid funding inappropriate sexualized content targeting kids. • Equity: We will not extend the Racial Equity Center which was established in 2020 as a special five-year initiative. • Supplier Diversity: We will evaluate supplier diversity programs and ensure they do not provide preferential treatment and benefits to suppliers based on diversity. We don’t have quotas and won’t going forward. Financing eligibility will no longer be predicated on providing certain demographic data. • LatinX: Walmart will no longer use the term in official communications. • Trainings: Walmart will discontinue racial equity training through the Racial Equity Institute. • DEI: Walmart will discontinue the use of DEI as a term while ensuring a respectful and supportive environment. This won’t just have a massive effect for their employees who will have a neutral workplace without feeling that divisive issues are being injected but it will also extend to their many suppliers. We’ve now changed policy at companies worth over $2 Trillion dollars, with many millions of employees who have better workplace environments as a result. I’m happy to have secured these changes before Christmas when shoppers have very few large retail brands they can spend money with who aren’t pushing woke policies. Companies like Amazon and Target should be very nervous that their top competitor dropped woke policies first. I think Target specifically will suffer serious sales problems as a result and Walmart will benefit. The company said some products that violated its policies have been removed, such as chest binders – products designed to flatten the chest – when marketed to children. The company also confirmed it will review all grants, especially for community events, to ensure they promote an appropriate environment for children. However, Walmart will continue to support Pride celebrations. The company has also decided not to extend the Racial Equity Center it launched in 2020 as a five-year initiative and will ditch the terms “LatinX” and even “DEI” altogether in official communications. It will instead focus on the term “belonging” for all associates and customers. Walmart also joined an array of companies in recent months – including Ford and John Deere – to end participation in the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index, which is an annual survey and report used to gauge “policies, practices and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) employees.” WATCH:

The NY Post has more details: A Georgia mom is refusing to strike a plea deal after she was arrested on child endangerment-related charges over her 10-year-old son’s unsupervised walk into town. Brittany Patterson, 41, of Mineral Bluff, Ga., was arrested by the Fannin County Sheriff’s Department on Oct. 30 after she left her son alone at home and he wandered less than a mile into town, according to NBC News. Brittany Patterson refused to strike a plea deal after she was arrested for child endangerment-related charges. The Fannin County Sheriff’s Department initially called the mom to alert her to the fact that her son Soren was unaccompanied in the town located near the North Carolina border. “It’s not a super dangerous or even dangerous-at-all stretch of road,” Patterson told the outlet, referring to the street that leads from their rural home to the town of Mineral Bluff. “I wasn’t terrified for him or scared for his safety.” Deputies drove Soren home and, hours later, returned to handcuff and arrest her in front of her family. Patterson was booked on suspicion of reckless conduct and posted a $500 bond, according to the report. The mom said she was angered and frustrated that her children had to witness her being handcuffed and booked by police. Patterson has rejected an offer to drop the charges, arguing they are entirely unwarranted. After spending millions of dollars on celebrity performances during the presidential campaign, Democrats launched a humiliating effort to pay laid-off Democratic National Committee staff. The union representing members of the DNC launched a GoFundMe page for workers let go with “little notice and no severance.” “Last week, 2/3 of DNC staff was laid off with little notice and no severance. We are heartbroken to see our colleagues—who dedicated countless hours to electing Democrats up and down the ballot—depart under these circumstances, and we are furious with DNC leadership for failing to provide severance to those affected,” the GoFundMe page, launched by DNC Staff Union, read. “As such, we are creating a relief fund which will directly aid staff members, including single parents and workers expecting children, impacted by the recent layoffs. The funds raised will be distributed equally to any laid-off member who opts in to receive funds. We hope these funds can soften the economic blow for those impacted,” it continued. The GoFundMe page seeks to raise $25,o00 to assist staff laid off after the 2024 presidential election. At the time of writing, it has raised nearly $17,000. Here’s the latest from CBS News on the asset forfeitures they are trying to push through: Trump ally and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani got a tongue-lashing Thursday in federal court after missing a deadline to turn over valuables to two election workers he defamed, including one asset, a vintage Mercedes, that he took for a drive to vote in Florida. He owes the women, Ruby Freeman and daughter Wandrea Moss, millions in damages. U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman, upon being informed that Giuliani is the only person named on a list of people who have knowledge of Giuliani’s assets — and that he wants his name removed — called the request “farcical.” “My expectation is you’re going to answer that question truthfully and fully,” Liman said, adding that someone else “in the world” must have knowledge of Giuliani’s various assets. Hearings in the matter were being conducted remotely, but Liman ordered Giuliani to appear Thursday in person after learning that Giuliani had not met his obligations to the two women. Lawyers for Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Wandrea Moss, said they went to Giuliani’s Manhattan apartment last week and discovered that it had been emptied out, frustrating their efforts to catalog and obtain his assets. “That’s the one piece of property sitting here in Manhattan that can’t be moved. Everything else has been game playing,” said Aaron Nathan, a lawyer for Freeman and Moss. “We’ve asked over and over where this stuff is, and the defendant has refused to answer,” Nathan said. Kenneth Caruso, one of Giuliani’s lawyers, said some of the items are now in a storage facility in suburban Ronkonkoma, New York, and claimed Giuliani has “no control” of it. Liman warned Caruso to “consider your words” about access to the storage facility, because it could end up the subject of a contempt hearing if Giuliani doesn’t turn over the property he owes. A jury in December 2023 awarded the pair $148 million in damages for lies Giuliani spread about them after the 2020 presidential election. The massive award sent Giuliani into bankruptcy, and entitled the defamed women to much of what he owns. Liman had given Giuliani until Oct. 29 to surrender a long list of possessions, including the Mercedes, two dozen high-end watches, a jersey signed by New York Yankees Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio — long featured prominently above the fireplace in Giuliani’s $5 million apartment — as well as other furniture and sports memorabilia. The women are also entitled to some $2 million that Giuliani has said President-elect Trump’s 2020 campaign owes him. In another tense moment, Caruso called it “vindictive” that Giuliani must turn over a watch that’s an heirloom previously owned by his grandfather. Liman raised his voice, saying “Oh, come on,” before pointing to other cases he hears regularly, such as people “who run bodegas and short their employees’ wages.” I’m no attorney, but I was always under the impression that even if you get a judgment against someone, they don’t just have to “pay up”. In fact, I was always under the impression that the judgment holder has the obligation to track down and seize your assets. You know, using things like garnishments and levies and things like that. I have never heard of someone having to voluntarily just turn over assets. Are there any attorneys reading this who can comment down below and let me know if this is strange? Should Rudy be forced to just turn everything over or should they have to “go get it”?
