A cat was seen carrying tiny kittens on top of a house. Through an act of kindness, their future took a wonderful turn. Martha and MagnusAnneLast month, a resident noticed a stray cat walking across a flat rooftop, carrying two newborn kittens. An animal rescuer, Karina, received a call for help. When she arrived, the cat had hidden away her kittens."She had hidden between a wall and a garden shed, cramped in a tiny nook," Anne, a foster volunteer, shared with Love Meow. Karina didn't spot the kittens until she heard a squeak coming from beneath her.She safely captured the mother cat using a humane trap and gently scooped up the two kittens, ensuring they would never have to spend another day outside. Mathilda was very anxious when she first arrived in her foster home with AnneAnneThe feline family was with Karina for the first two weeks, then moved to Anne's foster home for continued care and socialization.Anxious and withdrawn, Mathilda, the mother cat, kept her distance from her kittens upon arrival. Anne set up a cozy nursery with plenty of food, allowing the cat mom to decompress. Within a few hours, Mathilda began to relax, and her maternal instincts kicked in. She rejoined her kittens and resumed her motherly duties. After a few hours of decompressing, she rejoined her kittensAnne"She was very protective and wouldn't let me near her kittens without hissing, but she was never aggressive."The tabby boy, Magnus, was smaller than his sister, Martha, who looked like a miniature house panther. Anne was ready to start bottle-feeding to help with his weight but felt immense relief when he made gains the following day. Magnus is the smaller of the two kittensAnneAnne had prepared several comfy nesting options to accommodate Mathilda, but the mother cat chose the most precarious location for her kittens. She moved them from a large box to a high perch in the cat tree overnight."When I blocked it with blankets, she was so determined that she stuffed Martha under them. So, out went the big cat tree." AnneAfter numerous trips moving the kittens, Mathilda finally settled on the couch. "It wasn't my first choice, but compromises were made. I wanted the kittens safely on the ground, but Mathilda wanted them up high."The kittens nestled securely on the couch, with a pile of pillows and blankets on the floor to provide a soft landing just in case. Mathilda eventually settled on the couch with her kittensAnneIt took about five days for Mathilda to start trusting when she realized her foster mom was there to help. Encouraged by treats, she mustered the courage to sample the tasty goodness from Anne.As they bonded over snack time, Mathilda's walls began to crumble, and she started to embrace the comforts of indoor life. She rubbed her face against her foster mom's hand, savoring the moment. She warmed up to her foster momAnne"Now, she snuggles up against me while nursing her little ones. She loves affection and is much more relaxed," Anne shared."She truly is a gentle soul, and her stern looks can be a bit deceiving. She takes good care of her kittens but isn't a helicopter mom. If they're asleep, she just chills on her own or comes for cuddles." She grew to enjoy snugglesAnneAs the kittens grow bigger and stronger, their curiosity about the world around them soars."Magnus is slowly discovering there's more to life than just sleeping and nursing. Little Martha is completely in awe of her surroundings." The kittens are getting more active and curiousAnneAt three weeks old, the kittens have already developed big attitudes, acting as if they were twice their size. They fearlessly attempt to climb their foster mom, treating her like their own personal cat tree."It is still a bit difficult for them to do at this age, but it looks like they'll have very outgoing personalities." AnneMathilda is grateful to never have to endure another day on the streets. Reporters might admit the Trump convictions are a "political gift" for the Democrats, but they still claim there's "no evidence" the prosecution was political -- and especially, that anyone could claim Biden and his administration were behind it. The networks strongly suppressed the painfully obvious notion that Democrats are prosecuting Trump to damage his re-election chances. In a piece puffing up Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, Washington Post reporter Shayna Jacobs wrote: "Some thought the case was weak. Others — namely the defendant and his allies — continue to insist without offering evidence that it was a politically motivated attack on Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee in this year’s presidential election." The paragraph right before it noted Bragg was an elected Democrat. An Associated Press "fact check" by "news verification reporter" Melissa Goldin concluded: "Throughout the trial Trump has said, without evidence, that the indictments were politically orchestrated by Democratic President Joe Biden and his administration in an effort to keep him out of the White House. But Biden and his administration have no control over this prosecution. The case was brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a state-level prosecutor." Even that doesn't acknowledge Bragg is an elected Democrat, and it doesn't mention former Biden Justice Department official Matthew Colangelo joining Bragg's team to get Trump. It also happened on TV. ABC's George Stephanopoulos exploded at Trump lawyer Will Scharf when he insisted Biden was involved. CBS analyst John Dickerson lamented on Friday morning: “But when you say things like Joe Biden is behind this, for which there is no evidence, that sows doubt, and we have a really, really recent example of what happens when you sow doubt in the system, people take matters into their own hands.” (Translation: January 6 riot.) The networks also attacked Trump by associating him with violent messages on social media. On PBS NewsHour, reporter Laura Barron-Lopez announced "I was working with Advance Democracy, a nonprofit investigative group that tracks far-right social media." The group is run by Democrat Daniel J. Jones, a former Dianne Feinstein staffer who was also associated with Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm Hillary Clinton hired to create the phony Steele Dossier.  NBC reporter Ryan J. Reilly also played masquerade in an online report: "Advance Democracy, a nonprofit that conducts public interest research, said there has been a high volume of social media posts containing violent rhetoric targeting New York Judge Juan Merchan and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg..." Oklahoma police said that a gang of teenagers attacked a homeless man so badly that they nearly killed him, and one streamed it live on social media. The horrific beating unfolded on May 26 outside of a 7/11 gas station near Kentucky Avenue and Southwest 59th Street in Oklahoma City, according to police. 'He had some pretty severe injuries and pretty significant trauma.' Surveillance video obtained by police reportedly shows people in a vehicle yelling at Tilman Shannon, a homeless man. When they allegedly threatened him, Shannon tried to run away, but the teenagers followed him. Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Dillon Quirk said that the video showed a group of nine teenagers brutally beat down Shannon near a dumpster outside the business. The teens allegedly called him the N-word, and at least one streamed the attack on her Instagram account. Police said the teen who streamed it was later identified as Veronica Benavente. The arrest affidavit says that Benavente told Shannon, "We are kids," and also used racial expletives and slurs against him. One of the more grievous injuries Shannon suffered was when a teenager grabbed his colostomy bag and pulled it from his body, resulting in his intestinal tract being pulled out of his body. "What the **** is wrong with your stomach?" one teen is said to have yelled at the man. “He had some pretty severe injuries and pretty significant trauma,” said Sgt. Quirk. Shannon was transported to the OU Medical Center for treatment of his extensive injuries. He is expected to survive. Police said that Benavente and 18-year-old Eric Villagomez were arrested for their alleged involvement in the beating. Three juvenile suspects were found, and another four suspects have not yet been found, according to investigators. 'That is so scary.' Residents of the area say gangs have been a growing problem recently. “That is disgusting,” said Mike Martin to KFOR-TV. “It’s not that common, but there are a lot of gangs around here," he added. “Not that long ago I saw some elementary-age kids in front of my house with bandanas on and I was like, ‘What are you guys doing?’ They yelled something and acted all tough." “That is so scary,” said Trisha Tyler, who has lived in the neighborhood for five years. “This neighborhood isn’t usually all that dangerous." British political figure Nigel Farage has announced that he's running for parliament and will lead the Reform UK party."Britain has been failed by two main parties that have conspired to accelerate our decline. There is not a cigarette paper between Labour and the Tories in this election," Farage wrote in a piece posted by the Telegraph. "Both are hooked on a deadly addiction to mass immigration; neither has a plan to pull this country out of a deep economic hole. And, frankly, neither believe in it. I believe in this nation, and I’m prepared to fight for it. That is why I have announced that I will lead Reform UK for the next five years and seek election as the MP for Clacton," he declared. 'I can't let those people down.'"Reform's agenda for the country is based on the belief that the purpose of power is to best serve British citizens. Where Labour and the Tories stand for mass immigration, Reform would freeze non-essential migration to reverse long-standing wage depression and save Britain’s public services from the burden of unlimited demand," he asserted. "Where the London establishment stands for high taxes and high spending on their pet projects, Reform understands that British taxpayers know best how to spend their money."In a video posted on X, Farage said, "Let's make Britain great again."Farage's announcement comes as a reversal fewer than two weeks after he announced that he would not run during the nation's upcoming elections."I have thought long and hard as to whether I should stand in the upcoming general election," he had noted in a statement last month. "I will do my bit to help in the campaign, but it is not the right time for me to go any further than that."Farage explained during remarks on Monday that he changed his mind because he does not want to let people down. "I can't let down millions of people who would feel let down by me unless I was at the front and lead this charge," he said while explaining why he had changed his mind.
