The Bronx might be a deep blue area in a deep blue state, but that didn’t stop Trump supporters from coming out to support the former president. Former Democratic Governor David Paterson took notice as well, calling Trump’s Bronx rally a “wake-up call” for Biden — as between 8,000 and 10,000 supporters showed up despite the rally only expecting around 3,500. One of the attendees, a black woman, was captured on camera saying “that we absolutely must take our country back.” She also drew attention to the “diverse group of people,” noting that what ties them all together is “our love of country.” “Those are some fired up people,” Pat Gray laughs, after watching even more clips of the Bronx supporters. Another supporter, a young man, told reporters that “Joe Biden’s policies have failed.” “It’s failed us in terms of the economy, in terms of illegal immigration, in terms of the environment,” he said, adding, “These policies only hurt black people. It doesn’t help them.” Gray is impressed, saying “Something is happening here. That’s great.” “It’s not like 80% of blacks and Hispanics are going to vote for Donald Trump, but he’s at least doubled the numbers, according to the polls that have been conducted. It was 9%, now it’s around 18%,” Gray says. “I’ve seen it as high as 23% among blacks who are supporting Trump now. That’s unheard of for a really long time,” he adds. During Holocaust Remembrance Week’s March of the Living, pro-Palestinian protestors disrupted a remembrance march to honor the victims of Nazi atrocities at the site of the Auschwitz concentration camps. The demonstrators chanted slogans, displayed Palestinian banners and flags that said “stop genocide,” and some wore yellow stars that appeared to resemble the ones Nazi authorities forced Jews to wear after the German invasion of Poland in 1939. “Nothing is sacred anymore,” Mark Levin says, disgusted. “Israel is defending itself, and it is a constant defense. They’re attacked, they defend themselves. They’re attacked, they defend themselves.” Meanwhile, Joe Biden asked them to stand down. Levin says this “sends a massive propaganda message throughout the world.” That message being that “it’s okay to slaughter Israelis and Jews. In the end, you’ll survive — particularly if you’re leading these efforts. In fact, the United States will come to your defense.” “As long as Joe Biden’s in the Oval Office and Blinken is Secretary of State. Indeed, they’re funding Iran, which is funding the terrorists. Reps. Ilhan Omar and Cori Bush commemorated Memorial Day by making it clear that they are completely ignorant of the meaning of Memorial Day. The pair appeared to mix up the holiday with Veterans' Day in since-deleted tweets on X, formerly known as Twitter. “On Memorial Day, we honor the heroic men and women who served our country,” Omar wrote before the post was taken down. “We owe them more than our gratitude — they have more than earned access to quality mental health services, job opportunities, housing assistance, and the benefits they were promised.” “This Memorial Day and every day, we honor our veterans in St. Louis. We must invest in universal healthcare, affordable housing, comprehensive mental health services, and educational and economic opportunities for our veterans as we work to build a world free of war and violence,” Bush wrote in a similar post. While Omar and Bush clearly didn’t understand the meaning of the holiday, social media users on X did — correcting them, sometimes brutally, in the comments. “They don’t know our history, they pervert our history, they’re holding high political offices without understanding what this country is, what it’s traditions are,” Jason Whitlock of "Fearless" tells Delano Squires, adding, “I just find this troubling and disturbing that we have so little connection to our own history.” Squires says he “wasn’t particularly surprised.” “I think they are probably more representative of the average American than we would like to acknowledge.
