Biden and Trump slated to participate in two presidential debates later this year

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are slated to participate in two presidential debates ahead of the widely-anticipated 2024 presidential contest.CNN will host a debate on June 27 that will be moderated by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, according to a press release that notes there will not be an audience at the event in Georgia.'He can't put two sentences together!'ABC News has announced a September 10 debate, noting in a press release that "ABC News will make the debate available to simulcast on additional broadcast and streaming news networks in America."Trump and Biden have agreed to participate in both of the debates. In a video posted to X earlier on Wednesday, Biden claimed that Trump lost two debates against him in 2020 and noted that Trump has indicated that he wants to debate again. Biden declared, "make my day, pal," adding, "I'll even do it twice." — (@) "Crooked Joe Biden is the WORST debater I have ever faced - He can't put two sentences together!" Trump declared in a Truth social post on Wednesday morning. "I am Ready and Willing to Debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September. I would strongly recommend more than two debates and, for excitement purposes, a very large venue, although Biden is supposedly afraid of crowds - That's only because he doesn't get them. Just tell me when, I'll be there. 'Let's get ready to Rumble!!!'"Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has claimed that he will meet the requirements to take part in the June debate."I'm happy to report that I will meet the criteria to participate in the @CNN debate before the June 20 deadline. I look forward to holding Presidents Biden and Trump accountable for their records in Atlanta on June 27 to give Americans the debate they deserve," Kennedy tweeted. — (@) Like Blaze News? CA colleges are once again seeing campus buildings being taken over by protesters

University of California, Berkley Chancellor Carol Christ released a letter to the college's encampment, offering compliments to the group for maintaining a "professional, organized, and productive approach during a very difficult time." After the chancellor's letter was released, campus occupiers took over a school building in order to "escalate for Gaza." Protesters took over a building to 'avenge' Al Shifa hospital and to show their disapproval of disbanding the official encampment over 'weak concessions.' Christ pledged to the protesters to take action to meet most of their demands. “I want to again acknowledge your efforts to peacefully protest the extraordinary death and destruction in Gaza. I, too, am concerned about the horrific killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians as well as the destruction of the Palestinian educational infrastructure," Christ said.“I plan to make a public statement by the end of the month sharing my personal support for government officials' efforts to secure an immediate and permanent ceasefire. Such support for the plight of Palestinians, including protest, should not be conflated with hatred or antisemitism," she wrote. On Wednesday, protesters took over a building to "avenge" Al Shifa hospital and to show their disapproval of disbanding the official encampment over "weak concessions." — (@) — (@) The University of California, Irvine saw a science building being taken over on Wednesday as well. The college issued emergency notification warning about the violent protest, warning students to stay away. — (@) There are reports of a massive police response from multiple law enforcement agencies to move in on the occupied building. — (@) The buildings' occupation come after far-left groups were unable to hold on the encampment at the University of California, Los Angeles. The clearing of the zone has been met with promises to occupy other spaces at college campuses across the state.Like Blaze News? VIDEO: Florida police use drones and SWAT officers to arrest four suspects in spree of armed robbery of Dollar General stores

Florida police employed drones and SWAT members to arrest four suspects just minutes after their latest in a spree of armed robberies at Dollar General stores. Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters told reporters in a media briefing Tuesday that the three males and one female had used guns to steal about $11,000 from Dollar General stores in Jacksonville. “They won’t be doing that anymore. Not in our city,” Waters said. Police said the group used the same pattern in four armed robberies where they waited until just before stores closed to strike. In all four robberies, one person manned the getaway car, a white Dodge Charger, while three armed with guns went into the store. Waters said they warned other Dollar General employees about the robberies and used undisclosed technology to identify potential suspects and the vehicle. 'It is life-altering ... They’re scared to death.'After a fourth robbery on May 1, the four led police on a brief chase before they were arrested. One shot was fired during the incident. Police said they found ski masks in the car as well as three guns and $3,500 in stolen cash and merchandise. The four suspects were identified as 25-year-old Jakeithiyah Daniel, 26-year-old Jackeri Lewis, 23-year-old Nathaniel Carter, and 24-year-old Tresonda Benefield.Police also served a search warrant at the homes of two of the suspects and discovered clothing and a box of latex gloves that matched those used in previous robberies. No one was injured in the arrest or the robberies, but two of the employees involved in the robbery never returned to work. “It is life-altering. It impacts the way you see things after that for a very long time,” said Tom Hackney, a retired officer and legal analyst for WJXT-TV. “They’re scared to death.” WJXT obtained surveillance video from the robberies as well as drone footage from the arrests. Waters said the firing of the officer's gun during the arrest is under administrative review, but said only that it was likely justified because one of the suspects aimed a gun at the officer. "The suspects could have lost their lives, and it would have been right for the police officers to be able to use force in that case," he explained. A spokesperson for Dollar General's corporate offices released a brief statement about the incidents:"We are committed to providing a safe environment for employees and customers. We have invested in various security measures, as appropriate for each store. To protect the integrity of these measures, we do not publicly comment on their details."The four suspects were charged with first-degree felony armed robbery.
