Florida police say a man shot and killed his neighbors over a dispute about a basketball hoop, and the entire interaction was caught on surveillance video. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said in the arrest report that 63-year-old Norman Scott confronted his neighbors on May 4 and then shot them both at about 5:30 p.m. The victims were identified as Tara Marie Jones and Taylor Glenn Jones. The altercation unfolded outside of the Jones' home on Galleria Street in the Black Diamond residential development in Wellington. 'There's a lot more to this case than we all know now.' A witness told investigators that Scott admitted guilt to him after he asked the man whether he had heard anything. "Don't worry, I shot them both," Scott allegedly told the witness. Scott called 911 to report the shooting and claim that he shot in self-defense. He also allegedly told another witness that he had been attacked first.Police, however, said that a surveillance video from Jones' camera showed one of the victims raising his hands in the air and backing away before Scott shot him three or four times. He then allegedly shot the woman and fired two more shots into the first victim as he walked away. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives said that "at no point during this encounter" was Taylor Jones acting in a threatening way toward Scott. They were able to recover expended cartridge cases from a 9mm gun near their bodies, and they found the gun inside of Scott's home on a table. Scott was charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a firearm. He is being held without bond at the Palm Beach County jail. Scott's attorney, Brian Pakett, told WPTV-TV that he was a church-going man who worked as a mechanic. "There are two people who are deceased," Pakett added. "It's extremely tragic. What I can tell you is, there's a lot more to this case than we all know now." A friend of the victims told WPTV they had recently moved to Florida from the west coast. A GoFundMe account has been set up for the benefit of their four surviving children and has raised over $158k. WPTV also reported that Scott had no previous criminal history. Texas police say a pizza delivery man told them he shot and killed a man who was trying to rob him with a gun, but the victim's family is trying to cast doubt on his story. Police said that the man tried to deliver a pizza at a residence on Yellowstone Blvd at about 11 p.m. when he got into an altercation with a customer. The delivery man shot and killed the man. When police responded, the delivery man told them that he had been accosted by two men, one with a gun, who were trying to rob him. He said the other man ran away after his companion was shot. 'Only God got the last answer.' "We're not sure how the pizza delivery went so wrong that somebody wound up getting shot," said Houston Police Department Sgt. Mark Holbrook. "But that is what we're investigating right now."The delivery man was uninjured. While police would not identify the man who was killed, a man named Ameer White told WTHR-TV that he was the man's brother and identified him as 21-year-old Areyeh White. "They say he was the pizza delivery guy, but we don't have a receipt that he was buying a pizza," Ameer White said. "If you were the pizza delivery guy, why did you have a, why were you armed?"Contrary to his comment, Holbrook appeared to confirm to reporters that police had confirmed the delivery of a pizza. "The driver is cooperating and speaking with investigators about this incident. And there were witnesses who saw parts of what happened," Holbrook said. "There was a pizza delivery." Police did not confirm whether a gun was found on the body of the dead man. The brother of the man shot said that they lived together in a unit at the complex but that his brother had been at his girlfriend's apartment when the shooting happened. "It most definitely destroyed me. Because he said he was going to be home in 30 minutes. I stayed up for him," Ameer White added. Houston police said that a grand jury will decide whether the man will face charges over the shooting. "Honestly, only God got the last answer and I'm sure he'll figure it out for us," he concluded. With the M4 iPad Pro and M2 iPad Air being released later this week, Apple still offers a confusing iPad lineup – don't even get me started on Apple Pencil models. However, one of the company's top executives, Greg Joswiak, Apple's Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing, explained why the iPad Pro has the design of an iPad Air, and which device users should focus on. In an interview with YouTuber Arun Maini, the executive said Apple doesn't need to change product names because of some tweaks (iPad Pro getting thinner and lighter and the iPad Air getting a larger version). He said, "iPad Air really kind of developed itself to be the product in the iPad lineup that took what were previously Pro features and brought them down to an even more affordable price." That said, "Air" for Apple doesn't mean light anymore. Instead, it means "affordable." He reinforced this by saying the iPad Air now offers the previously exclusive M2 chip of the iPad Pro and its larger display. It’s the things you love in an iPad at a very affordable price.” M2 iPad Air: It's like an iPad Pro but more affordable, so you can do all you need without paying extra. Or, in Joswiak's words: “iPad Air takes those previously Pro features at a more mainstream price.” M4 iPad Pro: If price is not an issue, Apple is glad to offer everything it can to please high-end users. For example, the Ultra Retina XDR Display doesn't exist anywhere else. With that, the iPad Pro is "always pushing the edge to be the very best iPad it can be, and then hopefully someday, you’ll see those then migrate through the line.” That said, Apple forgot about the iPad mini. Refreshed almost three years ago, it still has a better chip than the current iPad 10. However, it won't change how you use it. After all, you can edit a video on this product, but should you? Not really. The iPad mini 6 is perfect for reading the news or books, playing casual games, doing light photo editing, and using the Apple Pencil, which doesn't work with the iPhone. With that in mind, I would say the weirdest product in Apple's iPad lineup at the moment is the iPad Air, as it's kind of Pro but also kind of basic. This is why I think Apple should focus on two base-model iPads, two iPad Pro sizes, and the iPad mini. Still, these are just my thoughts. Cupertino is expected to update the iPad mini later this year, so maybe, by then, its executives will remember its tiniest iPad available.
