Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) gave Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin an earful during a Wednesday hearing, demanding that he answer for reports that the United States had withheld ammunition that was supposed to be sent to Israel. The shipment was reportedly delayed as U.S. officials — among them President Joe Biden — expressed concern over Israel’s decision to strike Rafah in an effort to root out the last remaining stronghold of the Hamas terror network. Graham pressed Austin — and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Charles Q. Brown Jr. — to answer for that, drawing a comparison to the atomic bombs that ultimately brought about the end of World War II. Do you agree that they will if they can?” the South Carolina senator asked. Austin’s reply was simple: “I do.” “Okay. Alright. Do you believe that Hezbollah is a terrorist organization also bent on the destruction of the Jewish state?” Graham asked. “Hezbollah is a terrorist organization,” Austin agreed. “Okay, so Israel’s been hit in the last few weeks by Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas dedicated to their destruction. And you’re telling me you’re going to tell them how to fight the war?” Graham asked in apparent disbelief. “And what they can and can’t use when everybody around them wants to kill all the Jews. And you’re telling me that if we withhold weapons in this fight — the existential fight for the life of the Jewish state — it won’t send the wrong signal? … If we stop weapons necessary to destroy the enemies of the State of Israel at a time of great peril, we will pay a price. This is obscene. It is absurd. Give Israel what they need to fight the war. They can’t afford to lose. This is Hiroshima and Nagasaki on steroids.”

A majority of Americans are in favor of several different policies aimed at stopping illegal immigration, including building a wall on the southern border, deporting more illegal immigrants, and penalizing the businesses that hire them, a recent poll found. The public opinion survey, conducted by Chicago Council on Global Affairs and Ipsos in early April, found a significant partisan divide over immigration policy, though a majority believe that a number of measures should be taken to curtail illegal immigration. A slim majority of respondents, 54 percent, said that they favor continuing construction of the border wall. The question had the most pronounced partisan split, with 87 percent of Republicans and just 28 percent of Democrats supporting the policy. A full 65 percent of all respondents said that we should increase the number of deportations, with 89 percent of Republicans, 66 percent of independents, and 46 percent of Democrats in agreement. Another 66 percent of all respondents said that we should raise penalties against businesses that hire illegal workers. Republicans were widely favorable of the move at 85 percent, with Democrats at 48 percent, and Independents at 67 percent. The poll results come as America is facing a crisis on the southern border of unprecedented magnitude. Nearly 130,000 illegal immigrant apprehensions were recorded on the southern border last month alone. Officials have recorded over 9.5 million nationwide encounters and 1.7 million estimated illegal immigrant gotaways under the Democratic incumbent in total, a striking increase from the 445,000 total reported gotaways for 2018, 2019, and 2020 under Trump. One recent poll found that just 36 percent of voters approve of Biden’s performance on immigration, making it his lowest issue-specific approval rating for four consecutive months. Even voters in Colorado and Massachusetts, two firmly Democratic states, found that voters believe immigration is the biggest issue facing their states. Another survey from ABC/Ipsos found that Americans trust former President Donald Trump to handle immigration more than they trust Biden by a full 17 point margin.

Israeli media reported Wednesday night that Hamas terrorists fired rockets at a pier that the U.S. Military is constructing off the coast of Gaza. The court in New York is currently trying Donald Trump on charges that are completely specious — charges that, effectively speaking, he paid off Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election for electoral purposes as opposed to personal purposes, charges that have not been sustained by any sort of federal criminal prosecution against Trump. What is all that really about? What it’s about is humiliating Donald Trump. I don’t know why Democrats seem to think this is going to affect Trump in any way, shape, or form. Trump has been part of the seamier side of American politics and business for decades. There’s a reason he was in a tape for Playboy. There is a reason he was seen as a Studio 54 guy for years and years. It’s not as though Trump has led the most pristine sexual life. And no one at this point is surprised by any of the allegations that were made in court yesterday. But that did not stop Democrats from dragging Stormy Daniels into court. She is the heroine of the Republic because, as it turns out, all it takes to be a heroine in American life now is to be a porn star who has sex with a married man and then effectively blackmails that married man for money. And then, when the deal fell through, Daniels decided to go public with all of that to harm him. That is what heroism truly is, so long as that married man is a Republican. If the married man is a Democrat, as we all know, it’s time to wreck the woman. If that married man is Bill Clinton, then it’s time to completely wreck Monica Lewinsky’s life. That is how this works. All of this came to a head yesterday. Prior to going into court yesterday, Trump suggested all of this was coming out of the “crooked Biden White House.” The orders may not have come directly from the White House, but it is very clear that Democrats in the city of New York have decided they are going to engage in electoral interference. That’s what this stupid case is. WATCH: The Ben Shapiro Show Trump went into the courtroom where the judge, who is absolutely oriented against Trump at this particular trial, decided to allow the testimony of Stormy Daniels. To be extremely clear, there is no legal reason Stormy Daniels had to testify. She brought nothing useful to the court. There was no reason whatsoever for her to be in the courtroom. Whether or not she had sex with Trump is completely irrelevant to the charges that are being brought because they are about whether he — via his lawyer Michael Cohen — paid her off prior to the election and then reimbursed Cohen after the election, and whether it was a campaign finance expense as opposed to a personal payoff designed to quash the rumors so as not to bother his wife, Melania. The case the defense is making is that this is the kind of payment that is constantly made in American life. It can’t just be pinned on the election. The case the prosecution is trying to make is that this was all about stealing the 2016 election by silencing Daniels, as though any of the Daniels material coming out prior to the 2016 election would have saved Hillary Clinton, which we know is not the truth because there was a tape of Trump talking about grabbing women by their genitals and he still won. You think a tryst with a porn star would have changed the outcome in 2016? Daniels talked about her sexual tryst with Trump in 2006. Now, you may be asking yourself, isn’t the year 2024? Wasn’t this affair almost two decades ago? What the hell are we talking about Trump’s 2006 sex life for? That’s because you’re a rational human being. We’re talking about Trump’s 2006 sex life because the Democrats need some hook to hang their hat on to claim he’s a convicted felon. They charged him with 34 counts of felony campaign finance violation in the city of New York. The plan was to get Stormy Daniels in the room saying shameful things about Donald Trump. This whole thing was a put-up job. It was all designed so Daniels could unspool this bizarre story about the one time she slept with the future president, the time she spanked him with a rolled up magazine. Her original story was that they had this awkward encounter she didn’t really enjoy, but she didn’t say no. Now, she treats it as though it’s a quasi-rape. During her testimony, Daniels stated, “I was staring at the ceiling. I didn’t know how I got there.” Really? She went up to his room and then didn’t say no as he had sex with her. She has had sex with people on camera for a living. This was not her first rodeo. The attempt to turn Daniels into a resistance hero is quite pathetic. It’s designed to be a laugh line for the Left wing, which is why journalists spent the day guffawing at Trump. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said that Democrats are trying to interfere in the upcoming presidential election because they are terrified at the prospect of former President Donald Trump regaining the White House. Speaking of the criminal trial that Trump faces in New York State over an alleged hush money payment that he made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, Cruz said: “This is happening because Democrats are terrified that the American people are going to vote for Donald Trump in November. Disgraced St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is apparently missing in action as Missouri State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick has made multiple attempts to locate her to ask questions about an ongoing audit of her former office. Gardner’s office has been under investigation since 2021, when former Auditor Nicole Galloway was still in office. Fitzpatrick stepped into the role in 2023, and subpoenaed a number of records from Gardner’s office – but the office reportedly only delivered some of the requested documents. Fitzpatrick took Gardner to court in order to get the remaining information, but instead of cooperating with the investigation, she resigned from office in May of 2023. In the months since, Fitzpatrick has attempted to reach Gardner — either directly or through her attorneys — and has had no luck. “This is a pattern of behavior with Kim Gardner, who hasn’t shown a willingness to be transparent or accountable,” Fitzpatrick said in a news release on Monday. “Without question, she knows our audit is ongoing and that we want to speak with her about her time in office, but she has made no effort to comply with our requests or respond to our inquiries.” Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe (R-MO) — who is currently running for governor — called out the former circuit attorney via X: “Where in the world is Kim Gardner? On Wednesday, the GOP-led House quickly defeated a bid by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to remove Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) from his top perch. Within an hour of Greene declaring that she was going through with her motion to vacate the chair — an announcement met by a wave of boos in the chamber — members overwhelmingly voted to table the measure by a 359-43 tally. The measure was introduced in a privileged fashion, meaning leadership had two legislative days to act on it, similar to what Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) did last year to queue up a vote that led to Kevin McCarthy’s ouster as speaker. Unlike what happened with McCarthy, who lacked support from across the aisle when he was forced out of the role, Johnson had the backing of Democrats who said they would vote to table a motion to vacate the chair brought by Greene. He also got a boost from former President Donald Trump, now the likely GOP nominee in the 2024 election, who stood with Johnson at Mar-a-Lago in April and said the speaker was “doing a very good job.” When the vote finally did take place, 196 Republicans and 163 Democrats voted to table the motion from Greene. Eleven Republicans and 32 Democrats opposed it. Ten Republicans and 11 Democrats did not vote. Greene had been talking about using the motion to vacate against Johnson ever since late March when the House passed a $1.2 trillion spending package. At least two other Republicans, Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ), supported Greene last month as she refused to relent on her campaign against Johnson. Johnson and Greene met over the past couple days during which Greene made a series of what she said were “suggestions,” including defunding special counsel Jack Smith’s inquiries into Trump and no more financial aid for Ukraine. Recent polling from Monmouth University showed just one in five Americans wanted Johnson to be replaced as speaker. Trump posted to Truth Social on Wednesday, around the time of the vote on tabling Greene’s motion, complimenting Johnson, as well as Greene. He also called attention to the slim majority the GOP has in the House while pushing for unity.

Former Rep. Bakari Sellers (D-SC) made an appearance on Wednesday’s broadcast of “The View,” where he claimed that Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro and OutKick founder Clay Travis lacked the “intellect” to have honest discussions — and now Shapiro would like a word. Joy Behar began the conversation, noting that ousted Fox News Tucker Carlson had accused Sellers of using his platform as a CNN political analyst to “monetize racism.” Sellers objected, claiming that Carlson was the one monetizing racism when he talked about the Great Replacement Theory. “It’s rooted in white supremacy, and it’s fear. It’s grievance,” Sellers said, claiming that all it did was foment hate. Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), chairwoman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, teed off on far-left activists with Code Pink on Wednesday who were harassing her while she was trying to use the elevator that only members of Congress are allowed on. Code Pink has been on Capitol Hill all week harassing members of Congress over their support for Israel and their stand against the pro-Hamas protesters who took over college campuses late last month and earlier this month. “Don’t even think about it, I’ve got things to do,” the 80-year-old congresswoman warned the activists as they approached her while she was waiting for the elevator. The activists hounded her by drawing an equivalence between anti-Semitism and “anti-Islamophobia” — even though one is discriminatory and the other is anti-discriminatory.
