"Music has been boiled down to fifteen-second gimmicks for social media": Tuk Smith wants to return us to a world shaped by weirdos and mavericks, not algorithms

Recording almost everything on his latest album himself and putting it out on his own label, Tuk Smith followed the adage that if you want something doing properly, do it yourself

Latest album Melodies Of Atonement sees the Norwegians continuing to strip back and seek catchier elements of themselves – including taking influence from hip-hop

Snowman Decoration Playing The Recorder Is A Little Too Realistic

‘Tis the season for shopping. Many people are looking for early Black Friday deals on home decorations. When this happy customer found a cute snowman decoration, she pressed the “test” button to see what the animated display would do. What she got was the nightmare of any parent who has lived through the recorder lessons of elementary school music class. @arianagrandesleftshoe Beautiful #christmas #christmasdecorations #christmasdecorideas #christmassong #christmasmusic ♬ original sound – Mike Literus The adorable snowman decoration began playing with a piano-like intro before launching into a recorder solo. When the little snowman bent to start playing, the sound pouring forth from the beast is difficult to describe. Recorders are little straight flutes that have holes along the body. The instrument produces different tones as the musician covers or uncovers the holes. While a well-made recorder can create beautiful music, a cheap one will send you running away shrieking. This snowman decoration obviously came from a factory that scrimped on material costs. The snowman decoration “danced” to the obnoxious tones when the song was in full swing. The tune is not recognizable, although we assume it is a Christmas song. Any parent within earshot was probably wondering which child was failing music class. Image from TikTok. This snowman decoration is adorable. Grandparents will buy it for grandkids. Parents will accept the gift, but designate it as a “Grandma’s house” toy that lives with Grandma and Grandpa. No parent wants to relive the torture of fourth-grade recorder lessons. As a parent, I am ashamed to admit that this video caused me a minor panic attack. I thought I had been transported back in time. It was a nightmare I never wanted to relive. I’m all about sharing, though, so you also got to experience this agony. Annoy all your friends. Please share. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. The post Snowman Decoration Playing The Recorder Is A Little Too Realistic appeared first on InspireMore.

Woman’s Footage Of Finland In Winter Is Nothing Short Of Magical

Summer is known for a lot of things, including vacations. That said, you’re missing out if you have yet to travel during the colder months, too. Not sure the best destinations? If you ask Meghan O’Rourke, she’d say that Finland in the winter is the perfect choice. This country is gorgeous all year round, but it’s especially known for what it offers visitors from the months of November to March. During this time, Meghan says that Finland “looks like something out of a fairytale. From the snow ghost trees, glass dome cabins, reindeer, and bubble pink skies — it all feels so surreal.” The best part is that it doesn’t seem like she’s exaggerating one bit! Somehow, Meghan managed to capture the beauty of Finland during winter in the video below. Experience it for yourself! “Oh my gosh, this looks like a scene straight out of Disney’s Frozen!” someone in the comment section of the video points out. “The snow sparkles, and the icy landscape feels so magical.” “It’s the happiest country in the world,” someone else points out, with a third person adding, “Those rivers are really something else.” Welcome to Finland, a Real-Life Winter Wonderland Folks From All Over the World Dream of Visiting One Day According to Visit Finland, an organization run by the country itself, there are a whole host of activities for folks to enjoy, all while taking in the setting of a winter wonderland. This includes reindeer sledding, ice fishing, and trips to cozy cafes and Christmas markets. Plus, you can even meet Santa Claus at his village in Rovaniemi! For many of us in the U.S. visiting Finland would be quite the trip. But with breathtaking views like that, it certainly deserves a spot on our bucket list! Review Of Living in the Material World 50th Anniversary Reissue

It has been just over 50 years since George Harrison released his 1973 solo effort, Living in the Material World. Issued as the follow-up to Harrison’s highly celebrated post-Beatles debut, All Things Must Pass, Living in the Material World would struggle to be embraced by some upon its initial release. Whether some listeners were too keen on drawing comparisons between the project to its predecessor, or weather some simply failed to fully grasp the direction of the album, the project has, in many ways, dwelled in the shadow of its more bombastic sister-album in the decades since its release. Fortunately, The post Review Of Living in the Material World 50th Anniversary Reissue appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Dems Violate Law by Counting Undated PA Ballots Because Laws Don’t Apply to Them

One reason why 2024 wasn’t 2020 is that Republicans actually secured some court wins for election integrity. One of those was getting the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to rule that there was to be no counting…
