Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Willing To Join James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ Movies On This Condition
It has been 30 years since Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron last collaborated, and Arnold is looking to change that with the upcoming installments of the Avatar franchise. Arnold appeared in The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day and True Lies in the ‘90s—all made by James.
The renowned filmmaker is looking to release Avatar: Fire and Ash in December 2025, after achieving success with the previous two, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water. Reports say Arnold is eyeing a role ahead of next year based on a specific condition.

Arnold admitted that the first two Avatar movies are among his favorite of all time in a Q&A section of the Arnold’s Pump Club app. He also revealed that he cried while watching the sequel, and visited the set a few times to watch James in action.
Per the upcoming saga, Arnold is only willing to join if there is a role that makes sense for him. He noted that he and James have a thriving relationship outside of work, and there would be no need to force a collaboration as it would end up being cheesy.

It appears to be too late for Arnold to join the upcoming Avatar sequels as most of the motion-capture footage has been shot already. Speaking of a fitting role for Arnold, it is unlikely that the high-action star can fit into any major parts, and thankfully, the franchise has been a box-office favorite regardless.
