Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) encouraged Democrats to give it a rest when it comes to ginning up outrage over President-elect Donald Trump, warning them that it wasn’t even Thanksgiving yet and that Trump would be in the picture for more than four years. Fetterman made the remarks during a Sunday CNN interview with Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” when asked about recent remarks that he made when he said that Democrats should not be “freaking out” over everything Trump does. “I mean, there’s some that I would absolutely be excited to vote for, like my colleague from Florida or the representative from New York, of course,” Fetterman said in a nod to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY). “And then there’s others that are just absolute trolls, just like Gaetz,” he continued. “And that’s why Democrats — like, Trump gets the kind of thing he wanted, like the freak-out and all of those things. And it’s still not even not even Thanksgiving yet.” “And if we’re having meltdowns every tweet or every appointment or all those things, I mean, it’s going to be four years,” he added. He mentioned that he had previously warned that if Trump won that Republicans would hit “the jackpot” — meaning that they would win the House and Senate too. ‘The real jackpot is the Supreme Court,” he said, noting that the Supreme Court has become very conservative in recent years. “So they can run the table right now,” he said. “And at least for the next two years, those are the things, if you really want to be concerned about that, that they have the absolute ability to run the table, at least for the next two years. On this week’s episode of “The Ben Shapiro Show, Sunday Special,” psychologist and bestselling author Jordan B. Peterson discusses the Bible and how biblical truths can inform our lives with Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro. Peterson joined Shapiro to discuss his forthcoming book, “We Who Wrestle With God: Perceptions of the Divine,” which hits shelves Tuesday. The book is a “riveting” new look at the Bible that “analyzes the Biblical accounts of rebellion, sacrifice, suffering, and triumph that stabilize, inspire, and unite us culturally and psychologically.” A clinical psychologist, Peterson approaches the Bible both “scientifically and spiritually,” offering new insights into well-known biblical stories like that of Cain and Abel, the Tower of Babel, and Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt. Peterson argues that the Bible is a story of sacrifice, which he holds up as the proper model for human life. Peterson holds the biblical narrative up in contradistinction to the “self-defeating” story around which people frequently order their lives, one of “hedonistic self-gratification or nihilistic collapse.”  “There’s no difference between work and sacrifice, because work is the sacrifice of the future to story, the sacrifice of the present to the future and the sacrifice of the narrow self to the community,” Peterson told Shapiro. “If it’s all about me in the most narrow way, then there’s no community, right? There’s only the immediate gratification of my whim…and I have to impose those whims on other people using power, because they’re not going to cooperate voluntarily if it’s all about me.” Shapiro noted that the “place where you most obviously make your first sacrifice is in marriage, where you sacrifice your interest to the interests of something larger. And then the place where you make your second sacrifice is when you start to have children.” “It’s not a giant surprise that a society that refuses to see the story of humanity as a story of sacrifice, refuses the sacrifices themselves,” Shapiro said. “That makes a lot of sense that people aren’t getting together, people aren’t actually getting married, people aren’t having babies, because the minute you start to live that sacrifice, it becomes impossible to unsee.” This is a topic which Peterson and Shapiro have frequently discussed, including earlier this year on Peterson’s podcast. But the pair also broke considerable new ground on The Sunday Special, as Peterson delved into the ontological nature of the God of Abraham. “The God in the Old Testament, and the New, for that matter, is ineffable,” Peterson said. “God isn’t real the same way a table is real, right?” “I think it’s more definitive in the Old Testament account that whatever God is, is beyond categorization. This is why even Moses can only get a glimpse of God. So, God is outside our category structures.” “Now does that make him real? Well, I would say God is hyperreal,” Peterson asserted. “God is the reality upon which all reality depends. That’s a different kind of category. And it’s not exactly comprehensible.” Peterson, who has long drawn on biblical stories in his writings and lectures, takes his exegesis to the next level in “We Who Wrestle With God,” as well as in his forthcoming series “The Gospels,” which will be available to stream on DailyWire+ December 1. The New York Times is being mocked for adding in a fact check paragraph which readers say helps to prove the very thing they’re saying is untrue. The title of the article in question is “Kennedy’s Vow to Take On Big Food Could Alienate His New G.O.P. Allies.” It focuses on how limiting processed foods is a major goal of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a former presidential candidate in the 2024 election who dropped out of the race and later endorsed Donald Trump.  Now, the president-elect has nominated RFK Jr. to be head of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), a move which would help advance the MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) agenda. The NYT article says RFK Jr.’s appointment will likely affect the relationship between Republicans and corporate America, specifically large food manufacturing companies. The article quoted Kennedy as asking during an interview with MSNBC, “Why do we have Froot Loops in this country that have 18 or 19 ingredients and you go to Canada and it has two or three?”  The writer continued, noting that Kennedy “was wrong on the ingredient count” and that the cereal in the U.S. and Canada is “roughly the same.” “But the Canadian version does have natural colorings made from blueberries and carrots while the U.S. product contains red dye 40, yellow 5 and blue 1 as well as Butylated hydroxytoluene, or BHT, a lab-made chemical that is used ‘for freshness,’ according to the ingredient label,” the NYT writer notes. That paragraph led to questions and mockery on social media.  “Spitting out my coffee after reading this NYT ‘fact check’ of RFK Jr,” one popular reply says. “The NY Times is trying to be funny, right?” another person wrote in response. “I cannot believe this is a real paragraph in The New York Times. I didn’t think they can possibly lose even more credibility. You literally can’t make this up,” Libs of TikTok shared. Trump addressed his goals regarding the appointment RFK Jr., sharing on social media last week, “For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health. The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country.” He added, “Mr. Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!”
