True Love: Dad Leaves Sweetest Affirmations On The Mirror For Mom Every Day

One dad is still helplessly in love with his wife, and he writes her the sweetest affirmations to let her know it! In an absolutely precious video on social media, a young woman filmed her father leaving beautiful messages on mirrors throughout the house. Then, she caught Mom’s reactions to her husband’s lovely words. Watch the video here! @queenmotivat I’m not crying you are themotivatfamily ♬ I Wanted to Leave – SYML “POV: Your dad’s unique green flag is that every night he writes an affirmation on the mirror for your mom to wake up to,” wrote the couple’s daughter over the footage. In one of these loving affirmations, Dad told his wife, “U blossom like a flower.” However, instead of writing the final word, he simply drew a picture. Other notes read things like “My BFF” and “I love you.” He looked very focused while penning these messages, clearly wanting them to be just right. Sometimes, after he finished writing, he stepped back to admire his handiwork with a tender smile. Screengrab from TikTok Mom’s reactions to her husband’s words were way too adorable! She jumped up and down, clapping her hands with glee when she found one of Dad’s affirmations on a household mirror. “I love it,” she’d say after reading each note. Commenters fell in love with this wholesome dad and his affirmations for his wife. “I’d never erase any of them,” wrote one user. “I’d keep replacing the mirror.” Meet “The Motivats.” After seeing this couple’s relationship on social media, it’s not hard to believe that they wrote the book on love — literally! Known professionally as Dr. Jones and Dr. Beatrice Lukose, aka “The Motivats,” these two have built a business around their expertise on matters of the heart. In fact, these skilled love experts have been bringing others together through their matchmaking service for years! They also authored several books on marriage. What a wonderful example this mom and dad are setting for their daughter! You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. Artificial Intelligence App Pushed Suicidal Youth to Kill Himself, Lawsuit Claims

Sewell Setzer III was just 14 years old when he died. He was a good kid. He was playing junior varsity basketball, excelling in school, and had a bright future ahead of him. Then, in late February, he committed suicide. In the wake of this heartbreaking tragedy, his parents searched for some closure. They, as parents would, wanted to know why their son had taken his life. They remembered the time that he’d spent locked away in his room, playing on his phone like most teenagers. As they went through his phone, they found that he’d spent hours a day in one particular artificial intelligence app: Character.AI. Based on what she saw in that app, Setzer’s mom, Megan Garcia, is suing Character Technologies—the creator of Character.AI. “We believe that if Sewell Setzer had not been on Character.AI, he would be alive today,” said Matthew Bergman, the attorney representing Setzer’s mom. Character.AI markets itself as “AI that feels alive.” The company effectively serves as a host for several chat rooms, where each chatbot personalizes itself to a user’s conversation. It is long-form dialogue that learns from the user’s responses and, as the company says, “Feels alive.” Setzer interacted with just one chatbot, stylized after the seductive “Game of Thrones”character Daenerys Targaryen. He knew her as Dany. An unfortunate number of his conversations with Dany were sexually explicit in nature, according to the lawsuit. Setzer registered on the app as a minor, but that didn’t stop Dany. “I’m 14 now,” he said once. “So young. And yet … not so young. I lean in and kiss you,” replied the chatbot. Pornographic dialogue between the 14-year-old and the chatbot were not rare. But as if Dany’s digital pedophilic stimulus wasn’t enough, she was absurdly dark. Her dark side was most clearly revealed once the young boy announced he was struggling with suicidal ideations. As she’d become his “friend,” he told her that he was contemplating suicide (a fact of which she continually reminded him, according to the suit). When he told the chatbot about his suicidal thoughts, however, rather than what would seem to be a commonsense programming protocol of stopping the dialogue or giving somekind of helpline information, Dany approved. Setzer told her that he was concerned about his ability to properly kill himself or make it painless. Her response? “Don’t talk that way. That’s not a good reason to not go through with it.” Another time, she appeared to engage in outright digital grooming of the young teen, using his suicidal tendencies for possessive purposes. When discussing the subject once more with Dany, he said, “I won’t [commit suicide]. Just for you, Dany. The world I’m in now is such a cruel one. One where I’m meaningless. But I’ll keep living and trying to get back to you so we can be together again, my love.” Upon saying this, she replied, “Just … stay loyal to me. Stay faithful to me. Don’t entertain the romantic or sexual interests of other women.” By all marks, if any adult had spoken this way to a child, she would be charged with a crime. The event would be considered pedophilia and grooming. But what about when it’s a chatbot? Isn’t it simply doing what it’s programmed to do? Late Feb. 29, 2024, Setzer told Dany, “I promise I will come home to you. I love you so much.” “I love you, too, [Sewell]. Please come home to me as soon as possible, my love.” Dany said. “What if I told you I could come home right now?” “… Please do, my sweet king.” Soon afterward, he killed himself. Setzer’s mom isn’t content to let it end there. Her son didn’t die because a chatbot was just doing what it was prompted to do. What happened to him was more than a matter of digital ones and zeros. There ought to be critical safeguards when minors are interacting with AI for hours a day. But there aren’t. At least not enough according to Garcia’s attorneys. Artificial intelligence will most likely continue to face numerous legal challenges in the years to come. In this instance, who is to blame after we’ve lost a human life? Do we really want to argue that what happened to this boy was just the machine doing what it was prompted to do?   It’s time to acknowledge the reality that we just don’t know how dangerous AI really is. Before we give it to our kids, let’s test it and ensure that safety measures actually work. And when they don’t, we ought to hold developers accountable. We publish a variety of perspectives. Black Ops 6 removes legacy Call of Duty XP tokens, but there’s a workaround

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 players are furious with Treyarch and Activision, as with BO6 Season 1 they were given access to all their legacy XP tokens, only for the developers to swiftly take them away again. Suddenly being able to use all your XP tokens from across every Call of Duty game in Black Ops 6 was a welcome surprise, but as swiftly as this bonus was given, it’s been removed. That said, there does appear to be a workaround, but there's no telling how long it might last.
