BMW F 450 GS Concept The BMW F 450 GS is a new concept adventure bike that BMW Motorrad states is “near-production-ready,” with promises that a production version will be presented in 2025. This mid-displacement ADV fills a gap between the G 310 GS and F 800/900 GS, and BMW’s press release puts emphasis on the bike’s off-road capability and accessibility.  BMW says a totally new engine will be used for the F 450 GS, a parallel-Twin with “never-before-used ignition offset.” The engine is said to conform to the A2 license class in Europe with 48 hp, and it will use lightweight materials such as magnesium. Also conforming to the A2 license requirements, BMW reports the bike’s weight at 384 lb.  The F 450 GS will have a fully adjustable inverted fork and a shock with load-dependent damping, and it’s shown with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels. BMW has yet to release any more technical engine or chassis details, so we’ll have to wait for more information.  BMW has claimed that the F 450 GS will be equipped with several rider aids and electronics, including BMW Motorrad ABS Pro (lean-sensitive), configurable ride modes, and BMW Connectivity for smartphone connection through the 6.5-inch TFT display.   Taking design cues from the top-of-the-range BMW R 1300 GS, the concept features a characteristic color scheme of blue, white, and red.  In speaking about possible changes from the concept to a production version, vehicle project manager Johann Simon said, “No compromises for sure. Following the very sporty off-road focus of the Concept F 450 GS, we will implement the bike as close as possible to this concept. We will only adjust the seat height for better accessibility and easier handling. SAN ANGELO, TX — A second member of a biker gang has been sentenced to prison following the deadly October 2, 2022, brawl at the Whiskey River Saloon, 125 E. Concho Ave., that resulted in the death of U.S. Marine Bryce Rudisell. Rudisell was fatally stabbed through the heart by Ray Vera, a fellow member of the Bandito-affiliated motorcycle gang. Julian Suarez, also a member of the gang, pleaded guilty last week to two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and requested a jury determine his punishment. On Tuesday night, the jury sentenced Suarez to serve time in prison. While Suarez was not directly involved in Rudisell’s murder, he attacked another Marine during the altercation. According to police, Suarez struck the Marine from behind with a glass beer mug as the victim was leaving the Whiskey River. After the initial blow, Suarez used the broken glass to slice the Marine’s finger and stab his arm. HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A North Carolina man affiliated with a motorcycle gang pleaded guilty to having a handgun as a convicted felon on Wednesday. The gun was reportedly found during an April traffic stop in Hanover County. Thirty-five-year-old Kevin Christian, II of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is a previously convicted felon who was convicted in 2018 of unlawful wounding, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Felons cannot legally possess firearms or ammunition. According to court documents, on April 28, Christian was driving a motorcycle on Interstate 295 North in Hanover without taillights. State troopers with Virginia State Police (VSP) attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The Philadelphia board — led by chair Omar Sabir, a Democrat — chose in a meeting Wednesday to include more than 600 ballots submitted by voters who’d failed to date or incorrectly dated the outer envelopes, as required by state law. Though Democrats and voting rights groups have long argued that the date is irrelevant and is not used by elections officials to determine whether a ballot was submitted on time, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in a pair of orders this fall sent a clear message to counties: Those ballots should not be counted for this election. Philadelphia, like many of the other counties that have voted to count them anyway — including Bucks, Montgomery,and Centre Counties — has defended that decision by saying excluding those ballots unfairly disenfranchises tens of thousands of otherwise eligible voters each year. They also point to a recent Commonwealth Court ruling that concluded rejecting undated and misdated ballots constitutes a violation of the rights guaranteed to voters by the state constitution. A woman who reportedly had a mental breakdown climbed onto a high-voltage substation transformer on Thursday, which resulted in over 800 homes in Utah being without power. A video of the incident showed a woman in a red skirt scaling the transformer and later perching herself on one of the high-voltage bushings. When rescue crews arrived to get her down from the transformer, she started to dangle from one of the wires attached to the bushings. A video taken at the scene shows the woman wearing a red skirt and sneakers perched on one of the high-voltage bushings at the top of a transformer, shouting obscenities at first responders. When the first responders climbed up to reach her, she started dangling from one of the wires stretched between the bushings, treating the deadly equipment like an American Gladiator obstacle course. A cherry picker was lifted to the wire where the woman was dangling, and she eventually managed to drop into it. A witness told ABC4 in Utah that the Salt Lake City Police Department resorted to using either a stun gun or a rubber bullet to get her off the wire. The woman was taken into custody and transported to a hospital to be treated for “a mental health episode,” according to the report. To ensure her safety, electric crews cut the power to the substation. More than 800 homes lost power for roughly two hours until the substation was reactivated. The incident, which took place near Gladiola Street and Decade Drive, led to authorities cutting power to more than 800 homes to prevent the woman from being electrocuted. According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the alleged trespasser was taken into custody and transported to the hospital. Ryan Kent, a witness to the incident, said he was driving in Salt Lake City when he noticed a couple of police cars at a power substation and pulled over to see what was happening. He said he saw a woman standing on top of the substation transformer “screaming obscenities” at the police as they tried to coax her to come down. He also noticed what looked like a smashed circuit box and a pipe nearby. That’s when four or five more police cars pulled up to the scene.

The 26-year-old entrepreneur was roused from bed in his Soho pad at 6 a.m. by US law enforcement who demanded he turn over his phone and other electronic devices, a source close to the matter told The Post. It’s “grand political theater at its worst,” the source told The Post. “They could have asked his lawyer for any of these things. Instead, they staged a so-called raid so they can leak it to the media and use it for obvious political reasons.” Coplan was not provided with a reason for the raid, but the source suspects it was political retribution since Polymarket accurately predicted an easy Trump triumph over Vice President Kamala Harris – as opposed to traditional polls. The source also speculated that the government is likely piggybacking off liberal media reports that accuse Polymarket of market manipulation and rigging its polls in favor of Trump. “This is obvious political retribution by the outgoing administration against Polymarket for providing a market that correctly called the 2024 presidential election,” the source said.
