3 Pro-Life Policies to Watch for in Trump’s Second Term

Donald Trump is the most pro-life president in U.S. history. No other leader of the free world has matched his commitment to defending life, from defunding abortion providers to decisively reshaping the Supreme Court. As we look to a second Trump term, two pro-life policies are likely to take center stage and immediately should be adopted. A third—a national abortion ban—is not likely to get traction at this time. 1. Defund Planned Parenthood Under President Joe Biden, Planned Parenthood received a record $750 million of taxpayer funding while performing a record 392,000 abortions just last year. The so-called nonprofit now gets roughly one-third of its total income from the federal government. Defunding Planned Parenthood would be a major setback for the organization, which has already shown signs of mission drift and ineffective leadership in the post-Roe v. Wade era. Since Cecile Richards left in 2018 after 12 years at the helm, the role of CEO at Planned Parenthood has become a chaotic evolving door, and the overturning of Roe didn’t help. The current leadership has been less effective in executing Planned Parenthood’s mission, as confirmed by both current and former employees. In 2017, Trump sought to defund Planned Parenthood, but was blocked by then-Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and other Republicans lacking the political will and moral clarity to make it happen. He revisited the idea in 2019 through Title X, which provides government funding to Planned Parenthood to distribute contraceptives and other so-called family planning. Just last month, shortly before the election, then-vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, affirmed the Republican ticket’s goal to defund Planned Parenthood under a second Trump administration. This move also aligns with Trump’s stance that abortion is now a state issue and, therefore, federal funding should not be supporting it. Like many other nonprofits in the nation, Planned Parenthood should fund itself, rather than relying on federal handouts. Additionally, we can expect Trump to both cut funding for Planned Parenthood International—Planned Parenthood’s arm in foreign countries—as he did in his first term, and reinstate the Mexico City Policy, one of his first actions as president in 2017, to prevent U.S. taxpayer dollars from funding overseas abortions. 2. Reregulating Abortion Pills Following the overturning of Roe, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration dramatically expanded access to abortion pills by permitting them to be dispensed through pharmacies and even by mail, without requiring any in-person medical oversight. Removing the need for a visit to a medical professional before taking these pills hardly qualifies as safe health care, likely contributing to the fact that 1 out of every 21 women who take them end up in the emergency room. Reinstating basic regulations on abortion pills is a commonsense measure that even pro-abortion advocates once supported. Not least given the revelation of alarming medical statistics, it stands a strong chance of gaining traction with a Republican majority in Congress. 3. A National Abortion Ban Since the Supreme Court chose not to apply the 14th Amendment to unborn children, abortion has been returned to the states. Although a federal abortion ban was quickly brought into the conversation, Trump has consistently stated he would not pursue one, and there’s no reason to expect he’d go back on his word. Calls for a 15-week ban—an arbitrary gestational threshold—were considered, but ultimately rejected, by Trump. In a post-Roe America, where 25 states have already enacted strong pro-life laws, a 15-week ban would undermine their more protective legislation already in place, signaling weakness rather than progress. A 15-week ban would become the standard in all of those pro-life states that have already saved tens of thousands of babies with stricter bans or heartbeat bills that prevent abortions after six weeks of pregnancy. Trump is sometimes accused of not listening to advisers, but the pro-life movement’s experience has shown otherwise. As a candidate, Trump admitted his limited knowledge of abortion, but took the time to educate himself. He listened to pro-life champions and accepted critical guidance from Federalist Society Chairman Leonard Leo and other Catholic leaders on Supreme Court nominations. This led directly to the overturning of Roe, an event many pro-life Americans never thought they’d witness. In a second term, Trump is poised to remain a steadfast pro-life president. While pro-life Americans shouldn’t give him a free pass, it would be reckless and disrespectful to ignore his remarkable record. Trump has demonstrated his commitment to the pro-life cause, and there’s every reason to believe he will govern with those values at the forefront once again. We publish a variety of perspectives. Remember John Edwards's $1,250 Haircut? Kamala's Nails Just Blew That Number Out of the Water

Whether they're in office or on the campaign trail, Democrat politicians have a penchant for spending lots of money on really stupid things. BMW F 450 GS Concept Preview

BMW F 450 GS Concept The BMW F 450 GS is a new concept adventure bike that BMW Motorrad states is “near-production-ready,” with promises that a production version will be presented in 2025. This mid-displacement ADV fills a gap between the G 310 GS and F 800/900 GS, and BMW’s press release puts emphasis on the bike’s off-road capability and accessibility.  BMW says a totally new engine will be used for the F 450 GS, a parallel-Twin with “never-before-used ignition offset.” The engine is said to conform to the A2 license class in Europe with 48 hp, and it will use lightweight materials such as magnesium. Also conforming to the A2 license requirements, BMW reports the bike’s weight at 384 lb.  The F 450 GS will have a fully adjustable inverted fork and a shock with load-dependent damping, and it’s shown with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels. BMW has yet to release any more technical engine or chassis details, so we’ll have to wait for more information.  BMW has claimed that the F 450 GS will be equipped with several rider aids and electronics, including BMW Motorrad ABS Pro (lean-sensitive), configurable ride modes, and BMW Connectivity for smartphone connection through the 6.5-inch TFT display.   Taking design cues from the top-of-the-range BMW R 1300 GS, the concept features a characteristic color scheme of blue, white, and red.  In speaking about possible changes from the concept to a production version, vehicle project manager Johann Simon said, “No compromises for sure. Following the very sporty off-road focus of the Concept F 450 GS, we will implement the bike as close as possible to this concept. We will only adjust the seat height for better accessibility and easier handling. As an alternative to the cross-spoke wheels, lightweight but high-strength cast-aluminum wheels in the same dimensions are also conceivable.”  Stay tuned for more information as the BMW F 450 GS adventure bike gets closer to production in the coming months.  Visit the BMW Motorrad website for more information.  Check out more new bikes in Rider’s 2025 Motorcycle Buyers Guide  The post BMW F 450 GS Concept Preview  appeared first on Rider Magazine.

Justice Served: Biker Gang Assault Case in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — A second member of a biker gang has been sentenced to prison following the deadly October 2, 2022, brawl at the Whiskey River Saloon, 125 E. Concho Ave., that resulted in the death of U.S. Marine Bryce Rudisell. Rudisell was fatally stabbed through the heart by Ray Vera, a fellow member of the Bandito-affiliated motorcycle gang. Julian Suarez, also a member of the gang, pleaded guilty last week to two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and requested a jury determine his punishment. On Tuesday night, the jury sentenced Suarez to serve time in prison. While Suarez was not directly involved in Rudisell’s murder, he attacked another Marine during the altercation. According to police, Suarez struck the Marine from behind with a glass beer mug as the victim was leaving the Whiskey River. After the initial blow, Suarez used the broken glass to slice the Marine’s finger and stab his arm. Motorcycle gang member, convicted felon pleads guilty to having gun

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A North Carolina man affiliated with a motorcycle gang pleaded guilty to having a handgun as a convicted felon on Wednesday. The gun was reportedly found during an April traffic stop in Hanover County. Thirty-five-year-old Kevin Christian, II of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is a previously convicted felon who was convicted in 2018 of unlawful wounding, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Felons cannot legally possess firearms or ammunition. According to court documents, on April 28, Christian was driving a motorcycle on Interstate 295 North in Hanover without taillights. State troopers with Virginia State Police (VSP) attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Is This The Exact Moment Donald Trump Decided To Run For President?

When Elon Musk sat down with Joe Rogan for their latest interview, Elon talked a lot about the 2011 White House Correspondent’s Dinner roast of President Trump by Barack Obama. Elon said it was so out of line and so over the top and watching Trump’s reaction Elon believes this truly may have been the moment that motivated Donald Trump right then and there to run for President. Watch here: Is this the moment Donald Trump decided to run for President? pic.twitter.com/xtsFXV9qSt — Noah Christopher (@DailyNoahNews) November 15, 2024 After hearing that, I had to go find the video and watch it….and share it with you. Here is a 2:20 clip of some of the key parts: No WHCA Dinner this year. Instead: #THISDATE in WHCA Dinner History. Today’s installment: April 30, 2011. Barack Obama: “Donald Trump is here tonight.” pic.twitter.com/pobeJywpNH — Howard Mortman (@HowardMortman) April 30, 2021 Just look at Donald Trump in that crowd….he is NOT laughing. Here’s a longer clip: And here’s the full Obama speech/set/roast: Is this the moment where Donald Trump decided to run for President? To erase everything Barack Obama ever did? I think so. Elon thinks so. And Inside Edition thinks so: The Independent had more details on the roast and Donald Trump’s reaction to it: “You know who was nasty to me? Michelle Obama,” Donald Trump told rally-goers in Georgia on October 28, to a chorus of boos and jeers. “She opened up a little bit of a box… That was a big mistake she made,” he added, ominously. The former president went on to claim that he had “always tried to be so nice and respectful,” towards the former First Lady, despite having spent years accusing her husband of secretly being born in Kenya and therefore ineligible to be a US president. Trump had indeed once spoken highly of Barack Obama during the early stages of his presidency in 2008, calling him a “very capable guy and a great speaker.” He later said that the 44th president was doing a “great job” despite having inherited “a mess.” Donald Trump has claimed he has ‘always tried to be nice and respectful’ to the Obamas, despite years of trashing the 44th president Donald Trump has claimed he has ‘always tried to be nice and respectful’ to the Obamas, despite years of trashing the 44th president (Getty Images) But an escalating beef between the two men began in 2011 when Trump began publicly espousing a birtherism conspiracy and demanding that Obama produce a copy of his birth certificate. In private, he described Obama as “a Manchurian candidate” who obtained his Ivy League degrees only through affirmative action, according to the biography of his former “fixer”-turned-critic, Michael Cohen. According to Cohen’s book Disloyal: A Memoir, Trump’s disdain for Obama reached such a fever pitch that he allegedly hired a “Faux-Bama” to participate in a video in which he “ritualistically belittled the first Black president and then fired him.” Trump’s persistent “birther” conspiracy claims were firmly debunked after doctors in Honolulu, Hawaii, released a copy of Obama’s birth certificate. However, the then-president could not resist a final – and potentially unwise – retort. “Donald Trump is here tonight. I know he’s taken some flack lately, but no one is happier to put this birth certificate matter to rest than The Donald,” Obama said, addressing the White House Correspondents dinner in April 2011. “And that’s because he can finally get back to the issues that matter, like, did we fake the moon landing?… And where are Biggie and Tupac?” In footage from the evening, Trump stares straight ahead, a cursory smile across his face, as America’s first Black president roasts him continuously for over two and a half minutes. “Say what you will about Mr Trump, he would certainly bring some change to the White House,” Obama continued, before cutting to an image of the building, reimagined as a hotel, casino and golf course, with two semi-naked women sitting in a hot tub out front. He also mocked Trump’s “credentials and breadth of experience” from working on his reality TV show The Apprentice, prompting further guffaws from attendees. It was in that room, on that evening, surrounded by dozens of high-profile people laughing at him, that Trump decided he would run for president, those close to him have said. After gliding down a golden escalator on June 16 2015, Trump announced his campaign for president, and over the next 16 months he branded Obama “the most ignorant president in our history,” a “disaster,” and even accused him of being the founder of ISIS. Asked by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt whether he meant that Obama had created a vacuum that allowed the terrorist group to thrive, Trump clarified. “No, I meant he’s the founder of ISIS. I do,” he said.
