President-elect Donald Trump is expected to tap Stephen Miller as his White House deputy chief of staff for policy. CNN reported that the announcement is expected in the coming days. Miller was Trump’s top immigration adviser during his first term and was also his top speechwriter. He is known for being a hardliner on immigration and is one of the leading minds behind Trump’s mass deportation plans. Miller also supports cutting back on legal immigration and restricting allowing people into the country who are from countries that are known to be hotbeds for Islamic terrorism. After serving during Trump’s first term in office, Miller went on to create America First Legal, an advisory group that has spent the last four years fighting against the Biden administration.
